The first official footage from the forthcoming Black Adam film starring The Rock as the DC Comics anti-hero dropped early online today as part of DC's Super Bowl commercial to promote their slate of films that will be released theatrically this year. You can check out the excellent spot below:
For the unitiated Black Adam is one of the more powerful and popular DC Comic character and will feature The Rock playing a darker character. There were allusions made to Black Adam, but not by name, in DC's feature film adaptation of Shazam! DC Comics' original superhero team The Justice Society of America will also be featured in the film, including the characters of Hawkman, The Atom Smasher, Dr. Fate and Cyclone. Black Adam will be released on 7/29.
