Tony Khan is fond of using the phrase "The Forbidden Door". Well, he is actually trying to break one down as he has filed to run for a seat in The United States House Of Representatives.
In the form, which was filed with the Federal Election Commission on 9/13/21, Khan will noted that he will run as a Democrat and self fund his campaign. If he makes it to the ballot, he will run against Republican John Rutherford.
Pro Football Talk picked up the story this morning.

A local news reporter in the Jacksonville market tweeted the following after news of this story broke:
In full transparency- deleted my previous tweet about the Tony Khan filing for US Representative seat. Though there is a statement of candidacy on the Federal Election Commission website, he is not listed as a candidate on the website.

And a local attorney posted the following:
For all national @NFL reporters such as @RapSheet, @AdamSchefter & others: @TonyKhan is not an active candidate for Congress. Please check the Florida Division of Elections & Federal Elections Commission if you want to verify. I’ll post the links below for your convenience. https://t.co/34bCKZv0BJ
