WrestleMania has easily been the largest event of the year in wrestling, ever since its introduction in 1985. Back then, Mr. T & Hulk Hogan fought Roddy Piper and Paul Orndorff at the sold-out Madison Square Garden. Since then, we have witnessed some fantastic WrestleMania events and this is just about the right time to recall some of the most spectacular ones.
6 – The Rock vs Stone Cold Steve Austin – WrestleMania 17
WrestleMania 17 had one of the most iconic pre-event promos ever created, featuring a highly popular "My Way" soundtrack from Limp Bizkit. It was the second of three Wrestlemania clashes between The Rock and Steve Austin, as we can see in newjerseysafebetting. This one was special because it was a no-disqualification match. After an intense fight, Stone Cold Steve Austin came on top after allying with his old nemesis Vince McMahon to claim the WWE Championship.
5– The Undertaker vs Shawn Michaels –WrestleMania 25 & 26
The saga between two men in the mid-forties reached the culmination in back-to-back WrestleMania events. The Undertaker had his famous unbeaten streak at WrestleMania and his enemy Shawn Michaels was keen to bring it to an end no matter of the consequences. When Shawn Michaels lost the Wrestlemania 25 event, he was determined to get another chance to prove that the Undertaker is beatable at WrestleMania. He was so desperate that he actually put his career on the line, stating he would never fight again in case of a defeat. Of course, The Undertaker continued his amazing run as Shawn Michaels finished his career at the biggest stage.
4 – The Rock vs Hulk Hogan – WrestleMania 18
This was the clash of eras the fans will never forget. The Rock was the biggest WWE star at the time and the fans loved him wherever he would go. However, the crowd surprisingly went against him, chanting Hogan’s name as the two superstars of different eras clashed against each other.
3 – The Undertaker vs Brock Lesnar – WrestleMania 30
We wrote about The Undertaker’s legendary WrestleMania streak above while describing his famous clashes with Shawn Michaels. However, this streak eventually had to come to an end at some point. That point happened at WrestleMania 30 when the crowd were shocked to see The Undertaker losing to Brock Lesnar. The looks on people’s faces when they realized that Lesnar won the bout revealed everything about the significance of “The Streak” in terms of the history of the entire WWE organization.
2 – Brock Lesnar vs Roman Reigns vs Seth Rollins – WrestleMania 31
WWE have prepared another shocking run of events just a year after The Undertaker’s loss. Brock Lesnar defended his WrestleMania title against Roman Reigns at Levi’s Stadium in California. Nonetheless, neither of the two wrestlers claimed the championship at the end of the bout. It was only possible thanks to one of the biggest twists in the history of the show as Seth Rollins used his Money in the Bank case while both Lesnar and Reigns were on the floor. The briefcase allowed Rollins to get the title match at any moment he wants. The crowd went into delirium after he picked reigns and simply finished him with his famous Curb Stomp move.
1 – Hulk Hogan vs Andre The Giant – WrestleMania 3
It was really hard to choose the winner out of all spectacular WrestleMania events. We decided to go for the event's third edition as it offered one of the most iconic moments in the history of US entertainment. It was the clash between two genuine giants in front of more than 93,000 spectators at the Pontiac Silverdome in Michigan. People called Andre The Giant the “Eighth Wonder of the World“ because of his size, but Hulk Hogan managed to pick him up and eventually slam him down in what was one of the most remarkable moves in WWE history.
