TWO STRONG MATCHES HIGHLIGHT 2/4 AAW LEGACY IN CHICAGO, FULL RESULTS

By Mike Johnson on 2022-02-05 15:02:00

AAW Legacy took place on Saturday 2/4 right outside of Chicago.  I had a chance to check out several of the main events today on FITE.TV.  Josh Alexander defeated Mike Bennett in an absolutely tremendous back and forth athletic bout when Alexander hit the C4 Spike.  Bennett has been on a tear in recent months and Alexander seems to have found himself permanently in the zone as a performer.  This went about 20 minutes bell to bell and was just tons of fun.

The show was headlined by a 25-30 minute bullrope match with Silas Young defeating The One Called Manders, continuing their storyline from previous shows.  This was a really strong bullrope match with some good shenanigans to keep the crowd entertained.

The undercard featured:

*Davey Vega (with John E. Bravo) beating Shane Hollister, Stephen Wolf and Storm Grayson in a short, but fun four-way.

*ACH & Jah-C beat Camaro Jackson & Mike Outlaw.

*Russ Jones defeated Jake Something.  I don't know if Impact has Something under a long-term deal but they should throw everything they have at him, as he's probably one of the best breakout stars of the last year and continues to get better and better.  I suspect he's about to really explode.

*Christi Jaynes & Ren Jones defeated Lady Frost & Victor Benjamin.

*Schaff defeated Fred Yehi in a No Rules match.  This was the longest and best Schaff bout to date.

*AAW Champion Mat Fitchett pinned Laredo Kid.  Another super solid bout.

The promotion was thrilled with the solid house for the evening.  They were not sold out but felt that given the massive winter storm that hit a few days before as well AEW being in the market on Wednesday, that was expected.
