The former Nia Jax, Lina Fanene, while responding on Twitter to a fan about the COVID-19 vaccine (which she noted she has, as of now, chosen not to take) alleged that "a lot of people in many professional sports" have falsified their vaccination status and instead "just paid & got a real card from a doctor" -
Hahaha! I stand by that too. Honey, if you really think that all your favorites don’t feel the same as I do, you’re sadly mistaken. I know a lot of people in many professional sports that just paid & got a real card from a doctor..sooooo https://t.co/CG8PC7cQHJ

Fanene did not provide any further details, nor did she make it clear whether she was speaking about WWE performers, but did tell the fan they were mistaken if they didn't think "all your favorites" didn't feel the same way she does about the COVID-19 vaccine.
Fanene stated earlier this week on Renee Pacquette's podcast that she chose not to be vaccinated and even had a conversation with WWE's Vince McMahon where he made it clear that if she did not, she couldn't fulfill all of her obligations. Fanene was released by WWE in November 2021.
