NJPW STRONG REPORT: WHITE VERSUS DANIELS, AND MORE

Match Number One: Alex Zayne versus Ariya Daivari

They lock up and Zayne with a wrist lock and Daivari with a reversal. Zayne with a reversal and Daivari with a side head lock take down and Zayne with a head scissors. Zayne with a side head lock take down and Daivari with a head scissors. Zayne with a shoulder tackle and Daivari stays on his feet. Daivari with shoulder tackle and Zayne stays on his feet. They lock up and Zayne with a take down and arm drag into an arm bar.

Zayne with an Irish whip but Daivari sends him to the apron. Zayne with a head scissors and spinning heel kick. Daivari goes to the floor and Zayne with Moonsauce onto Daivari. They return to the ring and Zayne with an arm bar. Zayne with a side head lock and Daivari with a knee to the midsection. Daivari with shoulders in the corner and then against the ropes. Daivari with a chop and knee. Daivari with a snap mare and body scissors.

Daivari with a rear chin lock. Zayne gets out of the body scissors but Daivari reapplies it. Daivari with a reverse chin lock. Zayne with forearms and a chop. Zayne with a kick and forearms. Zayne misses a spinning back fist but hits a clothesline and both men are down. Daivari with a punch and Zayne with a forearm. Daivri with a chop and Zayne returns fire. Zayne with forearms and a back fist followed by a leg sweep and somersault leg drop to the back of the neck. Daivari with a snap mare and Zayne with a face plant for a near fall.

Zayne with a forearm. Daivari with a neck breaker and hammer lock DDT for a near fall. Daivari misses a hammer lock clothesline but Zayne with an enzuigiri. Daivari kicks Zayne away but leaps over Zayne. Daivari with a kick and Zayne goes for an O’Connor Roll but Daivari holds on to the ropes. Daivari with a super kick and hammer lock clothesline for a near fall. Daivari gets his carpet and hits a frog splash for a near fall. Zayne with a rollup for a near fall.

Daivari argues with the referee and he gets the ring bell. Daivari puts the bell down and Zayne with a pump handle power bomb for the three count.

Winner: Alex Zayne

Match Number Two: Alex Coughlin versus JR Kratos

Alex goes for the leg but Kratos stays on his feet. Kratos with a front face lock but Alex with a waist lock. Kratos with a front face lock and Alex with a wrist lock. Kratos with a head scissors and Alex escapes. Kratos rolls over and applies a wrist lock. They go face to face and Alex with a chop.

Kratos misses a chop and Alex with forearms. Alex with a kick and he goes for a suplex but Kratos blocks it and pushes Alex away. Alex with a knee and chop. Alex with a forearm but Kratos with a forearm that sends Alex to the mat.

Kratos sends Alex to the floor and then he shows his love for the crowd. Kratos with a forearm on the floor and Alex with a forearm. Kratos with forearms to the back and he breaks the count and returns to the floor. Kratos with a forearm and chop against the guardrail. Kratos breaks the count again. Alex runs Kratos into the apron and connects wit a chop. Kratos Irish whips Alex into the guardrails.

Alex gets back into the ring before the twenty count and Kratos with kicks. Kratos blocks a kick and rolls up Alex and hits a power slam for a near fall. Kratos with a hard Irish whip. Kratos with an Irish whip and splash but Alex catches him. Kratos with a clothesline and punches in the corner. Kratos with a suplex. Kratos goes for another suplex but Alex lands on his feet and connects with a back elbow or two. Alex with forearms and a chop. Alex goes for a gutwrench suplex but Kratos blocks it with elbows.

Alex with a chop and he hits the gutwrench suplex for a near fall. Alex with a flying shoulder tackle but Kratos catches Alex and applies a Fujiwara arm bar. Alex with a German suplex and bridge for the three count.

Winner: Alex Coughlin

Match Number Three: Jay White versus Christopher Daniels

They lock up and White backs Daniels into the corner and gives a clean break. White with a kick and wrist lock. Daniels with a reversal into an arm bar. White backs Daniels into the corner and Daniels pushes White. Daniels with a side head lock and White with a side head lock and shoulder tackle. White slaps Daniels and then White goes to the floor and Daniels chases after him. White with a side head lock and Daniels with a side head lock and a slap to White.

Daniels with a drop toe hold and he stands on White’s neck and kicks him in the back. Daniels with a suplex. Daniels sends White into the turnbuckles and follows with an Irish whip and forearm. Daniels with an elbow to the back of the neck. Daniels with an Irish whip but White sends Daniels over the top rope to the floor. White goes to the floor and he sends Daniels into the apron a few times. White with a chop. White sends Daniels back into the ring and he gets a near fall.

White with knees to the back. White with boots to the midsection and a step over toe hold and White with a Muta Lock. The referee tells White to release the hold for raking the face. Daniels with elbows and White with a forearm. Daniels with forearms and White with a kick to the leg and he clips Daniels. White slams the legs into the mat and poses. White with a running European uppercut and a Saito suplex. White sends Daniels into the turnbuckles.

White does it a few more times. The referee checks on Daniels, who falls through the ropes to the floor. White goes to the floor and he sends Daniels into the apron a few times. White rolls Daniels back into the ring. The referee checks on Daniels and White pulls the referee off to continue to work over Daniels. Daniels with a Death Valley Driver and he gets a near fall. Daniels with a Koji Clutch.

White is able to escape the hold. White drops Daniels on the top rope from the apron and then White follows with a DDT. Whites goes for a suplex but Daniels blocks it. White with punches and a European uppercut. Daniels with a Blue Thunder Bomb. Daniels with jabs and a back body drop. Daniels with an enzuigiri and STO. Daniels runs into a boot and Daniels with a palm trust and Iconoclasm. Daniels calls for Angel’s Wings and White goes to the floor. Daniels with a suicide dive. Daniels slams White on the floor. Daniels pulls up the mats at ringside and breaks the referee’s count. Daniels goes for Angel’s Wings on the floor but White with a back body drop. Daniels kicks white and White pulls Daniels off the apron and White with a gourdbuster onto the apron.

White with a twisting brainbuster for a near fall. Daniels with an arm drag to counter a uranage. Daniels with a uranage and he signals for the Best Moonsault Ever but White grabs Daniels’ leg. Daniels drops down for a near fall. White with a jackknife cover for a near fall. White gets another near fall. Daniels with Angel’s Wings for a near fall. Daniels sets for another Angel’s Wings but White backs Daniels into the corner. White with a uranage. White with a sleeper suplex and he sets for a Kiwi Crusher and hits it for a near fall. White signals that it is over and he sets for Blade Runner but Daniels blocks it. White with a chop. Daniels with a Flatliiner. Daniels with Angel’s Wings but White blocks it. White with a rollup but Daniels with a uranage and he goes up for the Best Moonsault Ever but White gets his knees up. White with Blade Runner for the three count.

Winner: Jay White

After the match, White takes the mic and then he drops it and starts to leave the ring but he comes back to the center of the ring. He asks if you are going to fall for it twice. Jay says he didn’t have anything to say to you but now he does. He has opened New Japan to all challengers and All Elite Wrestling sends him a rookie like Christopher Daniels? You call yourself elite and you send me a broken down rookie like Christopher Daniels. Jay says he feels that it is personal. Some might have pushed for Daniels so they could avoid him.

White tells AEW for his next challenger in the US Of Jay Open Challenge, why not send someone truly elite. Bay Bay, it’s still my time.
