Johnny Knoxville's appearances with WWE are slated to end with tonight's Royal Rumble match.
Knoxville was slated at one point to be part of last night's Smackdown episode but weather concerns led to the idea being dropped and he was instead brought directly to St. Louis for the Royal Rumble. The majority of the Jackass Forever cast are with him for the Rumble appearance.
During his appearances over the last several weeks, Knoxville absolutely endeared himself to WWE talents and staff with his willingness to anything that was asked of him as a way to build to the Rumble match and promote his film. We have heard from numerous sources that Knoxville himself had even volunteered to make more appearances than planned if it was deemed necessary and was beyond respectful to everyone involved in the process.
Unlike other celebrities who have made WWE appearances over the years, Knoxville did not keep himself separated from everyone else behind the scenes. He dove right into the WWE environment and by all reports, enjoyed being around as much as everyone enjoyed having Knoxville involved. One source even noted they hoped Knoxville ended up back working with the company again as it was "completely drama-free and fun."
Regarding the incident with Brock Lesnar and Wee-Man last night, we are told that was not an incident that was designed to promote the film, just something that sort of "ending up happening" as everyone was enjoying their late night evening. The hotel bar wasn't thrilled about in the moment. The clip was picked up overnight by TMZ, so it's going to end up being something that helps promote Knoxville's film.
