Mike Weber of FITE.TV told John Pollock of POSTWrestling.com that this past Saturday was the highest purchasest GCW PPV in FITE history.
Nick Gage and Matt Tremont will be using the H8 Club name. That was the name of Gage's crew in CZW. They will make their first GCW Tag Team Championship title defense on 2/20 in Atlantic City, NJ against The Rejects.
For those who asked about a return to the Hammerstein Ballroom, we are told that it won't be a fast turnaround and GCW will likely run another venue in NYC when they return to the market as they would prefer to build to a big return in the building, as it's not a cheap venue to run, obviously.
GCW owner Brett Lauderdale tweeted the following biting, honest commentary of his own work when it comes to the promotion's PPV debut over the weekend:
Sunday was a smash hit business wise for gcw. All records shattered and its not even close. But im not happy at all. Feel like I let a lot of people down. Got played and I shoulda known better. Big time learning experience. Gonna work harder than ever to get a 2nd chance.

The Jersey Championship Wrestling matinee event on 2/19 in AC, which will stream on the GCW YouTube channel, will feature Bryan Keith, Alec Price and Slade, among others.
The 2/25 Los Angeles return at the Ukranian Culture Center will feature Dr. Wagner Jr. vs. Homicide for the first time ever as well as Blake Christian vs. Nick Wayne.

The following press release was issued to PWInsider.com:
Plot Twist, Daddy!
Is this a passing of the torch?! ECW Legend & original "Manager of Champions" Bill Alfonso appears to have given indie wrestling sensation Pollo Del Mar his blessing as the new "Manager of Champions"!
"Hey Pollo Del Mar Daddy we both look like Superstar's great pics," Alfonso tweeted in response to photos of the duo together at Game Changer Wrestling's record-shattering #TheWRLDonGCW Pay-Per-View event.
"I don't mind sharing the manager of champions with you daddy," he continued. "You're a winner just like me. Sincerely, the first manager of champions, Fonzie"

The managerial minds met Sun., Jan. 23, as both participated in GCW's landmark spectacle at New York City's Hammerstein Ballroom. Afterward, the pair took to Twitter for a lively exchange about bonding over post-show fish sandwiches, which tickled many.
"It's always amazing to see a legend like @TheGlamazonPDM meet & be ENDORSED by #LEGEND @AlfonsoBill #AMAZING!" Tweeted one fan.
From 1996-2001, Alfonso was a staple in ECW. He debuted as a no-nonsense referee, who infuriated fans and wrestlers alike by refusing to tolerate the company and competitors' complete disregard for law and order.
When "fired" for strictly enforcing the rules, Alfonso returned to manage Taz in his feud with ECW World Champion Sabu. Eventually Alfonso turned on Taz, aligning with Sabu.
He later added Rob Van Dam to his stable as well. Leading Sabu and Van Dam's to the ECW World Tag Team Champions, and Van Dam to an historic reign as ECW TV Champion, Alfonso billed himself as "The Manager of Champions."
Much newer to the pro wrestling scene is Del Mar. Based on the West Coast, the rising star has made appearances with the National Wrestling Alliance, GCW and is cohost of and does periodic play-by-play/color commentary on its sister promotion LA Fights among others.
As "The Manager of Champions," she leads faction The Agenda (with centerpiece Dark Sheik) in Underground Wrestling Alliance. With her guidance, team Money Power Re$pect simultaneously holds tag titles in four promotions and was voted 2021 Northern California Tag Team of the Year.
