Northeast Wrestling presented the 2022 Over The Top show last night at John F Kennedy High School in Waterbury, CT.
WWE Hall of Famers Bob Backlund & Sgt Slaughter were at the pre-show meet & Greet.
Brett Ryan Gosselin issues an open challenge that is answered by Ron Zombie. Zombie pinned Gosselin after a DDT in short time.
NZO vs AJZ. NZO did a promo pre-match and mentioned about his upcoming tag match in Poughkeepsie. Crowd is pro NZO. NZO wins with the JawdonZo.
Ivelisse Vs Mercedes Martinez. Mercedes' mom was in attendance at ringside. Back & forth hard hitting match. Mercedes wins with the OG Drop. Ivelisse & Mercedes hugged after the match.
NEW Tag Team title #1 contenders Ladder Match Waves & Curls defeated InZanely Rude when Traevon Jordon got the contract. Crowd was really into this match. A lot of the crazy ladder match spots. Ring announcer Kurt Adonis then announced to the crowd that on 2/19 at the NEW Arena in Bethany; Waves & Curls will get to challenge Club Cam for the NEW Tag Team Titles.
NEW Champ Dan Maff & Erick Redbeard & Wrecking Ball Legursky vs. JT Dunn & Brad Hollister & Ace Romero. Maff/Redbeard/Legursky won when Maff pinned Romero after a Burning Hammer. Post-match, Maff got on the mic and told JT Dunn he'll see him in Poughkeepsie.
Dango (the former Fandango) vs. Flip Gordon. Crowd was pro-Flip. Flip won by pinfall.
20 Man Over the Top Rumble for a guaranteed NEW Title shot - "Mr Northeast Wrestling" Brian Anthony with Vito won by eliminating both Flip Gordon and Traevon Jordan.
Main Event: The Titan Adam Scherr (the former Braun Strowman) & EC3 defeated Dutch & Bateman. Scherr scored the pin. Crowd was pro Scherr & EC3 especially in the beginning of the match where the crowd started "Let's Go Titan" "ROH" & "EC3" Chants.
Next time NEW will be in CT will be 2/19 at the NEW Arena in Bethany where Club Cam will be defending the NEW tag team titles against Waves & Curls.
