Action Wrestling & IWTV Present: “Southeast First”

There’s so much to be excited for tonight. Much like the Midwest Mixtape show a few years ago, this card hopes to put a lot of the Southeast area promotions into your view space. A lot of the different area promotions have come together to put together this supercard. It is the largest crowd I’ve seen in the ACTION Wrestling arena. Scott Hensley is your announcer. Dylan Hales & Jumpin’ Johnny Mosely are at the commentary desk. I am chomping at the bit for this. Let’s goooooooo!

Match 1: M*E*R*C (c) vs “The Mat Scientist” Damyan Tangra (for the TWE Championship)

Tangra is out in Mandalorian garb tonight. MERC comes out through a cadre of masked men, the captain of his own militia. Tangra working the arm early but MERC just slams his challenger to the mat. Tangra with some quick pin attempts and MERC is flustered. Tangra tries for the STF and the champ scrambles to the rope. MERC with a whip and Tangra lariats and starts landing some shots. Back and forth strikes and fighting corner to corner. They fight to the apron, trading kicks, Tangra takes the legs out and sends Merc flying to the floor with an uppercut. MERC slides in and tries a dive but face meets fist again. MERC finally takes control, stomps Tangra out and hits a bulldog for two. Tangra and MERC trading heavy shots back and forth. MERC with an elbow to the back of the head and drops him. Enziguri from the floor to the second rope! Chicken wing, Tangra’s out and swinging hard. Tangra escapes a backslide, huge lariat, close two! Butterfly suplex, kick out! MERC with a sleeper but Tangra is out trying a gutbuster. MERC with a uranage! Tangr catches him on the top and toss the champ off! Tangra sinks in the STF! The crowd is begging for the tap! The ref gets distracted but the TWE belt, MERC rakes the eyes and drops Tangra on the back of his head for the successful title defense!

Match 2: Eli Knight (w/ Malik Bosede) vs Landon Hale (Scenic City Showcase)

This is a matchup of two rising talents out of the Southeast. Hale offers the handshake and they hug before the action. Knight tries to take the back but Hale grabs the wrist, they grapple over the wrist, Hale taken down but drives Eli to the rope with a head scissor. Knight takes the pace up and pummels Hale, ddt to the floor… Hale uses a desperate 619 and crossbody to keep himself afloat and clear the cobwebs. Knight with a sunset flip, pop up to a superkick. Hale is staggered hard. Eli with a crossbody, Hale kicks out but he looks in a bad way. Hale blocks a suplex, sent to the outside and eats a torpedo dive from Eli. Knight to the top! Hale pops up and hits a Spanish fly! Two count! Huge chop sends Eli flying to the canvas. Knight blocks another chop and hits a flatliner for two! Knight misses a moonsault, runs into a knee! Eli flips out of a blue Thunder bomb with a rana! Eli dropkicks Hale out of a handspring. Trading back and forth! Crowd is split! Eli with a springboard codebreaker! Shooting star from the top! Knight gets the pin! Fantastic fight!

Scott Hensley brings Eli Knight back in to let CEO Matt Griffin inform him that he has a spot in this year’s Scenic City Invitational Tournament!!! Eli joins Damyan Tangra in the upcoming tourney.

Match 3: “The Locksmith” Brandon WIlliams vs “Kung Fu” Donnie Janela (w/ Nasty Leroy) vs Rolando Perez(c) (No DQ New South Championship Match)

Perez is small but fiesty…but also takes an early beating from his challengers and sent to the floor. WIlliams and Janela grapple in the center. This is so much of a one on one that someone in the crowd yells, “Has anyone seen the champion???” Perez seems to roll in and suddenly hits a basement dropkick to Williams. Wild eyed Suicide dive to WIlliams! Perez dumps Donnie to the concrete. Round the world charging kick to Janela. WIlliams eats post. Perez comes running but Brandon catches, grapples and hits a snap suplex to the concrete. Janela is recovering back in the ring, hits a senton dive to the floor! Perez thrown back in but he kicks out. Perez is taking the fight to everyone but WIlliams is working to wrench his arm off. Perez with huge slaps and backfists. Brandon with a electric chair facebuster! Ankle lock applied! Janela cuts it off! Rolling flow kick to the head! Janela stacks the competition, coast to coast and hits them both! Kick out on both. Perez escapes a package piledriver, low blow back kick to Donnie! WIlliams with a double German! Ankle lock on the champ! He catches a superkick and gets the lock on Janela too! Perez escapes but Donnie trapped! The ankle lock is deep! Perez hits WIlliams with brass knuckles! Donnie with a desperate palm strike cold clocks the champ, who falls on a prone WIlliams and gets the pin before Janela realizes what’s happened!

Match 4: Team PWF (Bojack, BK Westbrook & Diego Hill) vs Team Action (Bobby Flaco, Brogan Finlay & Ashton Starr)

This is going to be a wild one. The crowd pops hard because BOB’S HERE. And Brogan! And Ashton! Westbrook and Finlay kick this off, trading quick holds back and forth. BK speeds it up but Brogan comes flying and clubs him down. Bobby and Hill come in, crowd is wild until Bob gets crumbled with a gut kick. Bob plays to the crowd and catches Hill coming with a few solid chops. Hill with a runup corkscrew arm drags. Bob with a springboard armdrag and launches himself out of the ring. Ashton and Bojack square off….the crowd is very behind Ashton here….Bojack does NOT care. SMASH! Bojack tosses him off, showing his power every time Starr tries to move him. Toss into the corner! Meteora from Starr! Pop up backbreaker! Hill tossed over  into Starr. Slingshot elbow drop for two! Bojack back with a long delay vertical suplex. Ashton looks ded but kicks out. Starr fights out of the corner but Bojack chucks him back to the wolves. Westbrook with a moonsault for two! Starr flips out of danger, hill eats the post, Bob tags in! Flaco hits and xfactor to Hill, rolls through, tries a bulldog but Westbrook drops him on his head. Bojack’s here to squash Flaco. Big slam, whiff on the senton! Stunner to Bojack, Finlay’s in! Brogan firing on all cylinders on Westbrook! Backbreaker to Hill. Bojack dropkicked out of the ring! Crossbody to everyone! DVD to Westbrook, kick out! Starr throwing wild punches, Hill with a kick. Huge combos between everyone! Sliced bread off Bojack’s back! Starr with a backbreaker and throws BK to the floor! Brogan with the big dive sends everyone into the front row! Dive party! Brogan sends BK in, they try a doomsday device…BK sends them crashing into each other. Bojack catches Brogan, double flying bulldog from

BK & Hill! Brogan is down for the three! If my words seemed frantic, they were. This match was wiiiiiild.

Match 5: “The Dude” Jon Davis(c) vs Drew Adler (PWX Championship Match)

I f***ing looooooove Jon Davis. That Dude  chops up his challenger and slams Adler repeatedly. This is power and dominance in the opening minutes. Adler is able to stun the champ and throw Davis out the corner. Adler working the shoulder and neck and tries to take the long grinding road against Davis. Adler misses a corner charge and Davis drops him with a single shot. Snap powerslam and Davis is staggering again. Adler taunting and Jon clubs him against and drops him. Big powerslam from that dude. Uranage out of the corner! He tries a powerbomb but his arm won’t hold it. Adler sent to the apron…Davis tries an inside out suplex but Adler jacks the arm again. Rebound lariat but only a one on the champ. Adler trading but Davis doesn’t have as much power. David throws a lariat…Adler up through it, Davis with a short knee and piledriver to get the pin. What a hoss fight!

Match 6: Anthony Henry vs “The Loaded Arm” Adam Priest

Priest manages to take Henry down and this causes early surprise. They counter each other’s big kicks and go head to head. These are two big egos that refuse to show any respect to their opponent. They pie face each other, throw slaps and just devolve into an uppercut battle. Henry uses a dirty rope break, dropkicks Priest and rams him right into the buckle. Henry foot choking Priest and twists the neck nearly off. Priest fighting from beneath, fires back with a a flurry but Henry hits a huge brain buster as the crowd starts to bewilderingly chant for Adam Priest?!?! Henry turns on his evil predator mode, kicks the spine of Priest in half, before hitting a running leg lariat into the bleachers! Henry grabs some pliers and strips the turnbuckle! Priest back in and staggered hard with a boot wash in the corner. Priest avoids the buckle…they battle and trade shots, big lariat from Henry! Priest with a defiant slap and Henry makes him pay. Priest fires back and almost puts Henry into the exposed buckle! Priest with a brain buster! Alabama slam! Kick out! Henry tries a superplex…Priest with a flying legdrop for two! He loads up the arm….Henry catches it, wraps up the arms and stretches back both arms! Priest escapes but hit with a gotch piledriver. Kickout! Henry is furious! Priest with a middle finger and gets to slugging! Henry run into the buckle! Roll up, kickout! Priest hits the lariat with the loaded arm! Henry rolls to the outside…he could take the count out but Priest drags him back in. Henry with a rollup, two count. Pin fight on a backslide…Priest rammed facefirst into the buckle, Henry hits a gory neckbreaker for the pin. WOW. A lot happened here but I think the biggest thing is Action managed to flip Adam Priest face….or at least into a tween ee,

Match 7: Kyle Matthews vs Owen Knight(c) (Southern Honor Championship Match)

Knight takes the arm but Matthew’s with a surfboard stretch and the champ is real close to an early night. A big boot catches Matthew’s coming off the top rope, big shots to the gut, shoulder block, sunset flip for two. Dropkick, kick out! Arm drag but Matthews gets decked. Up and over, basement superkick for two! Owen with a chop and Matthews returns with a superkick to the gut. Matthew’s slows it down and walking the champ down with chops and strikes. Owen rolls through a crossbody, Matthews slips the finish, Owe with a flying back elbow! Owen with a rollup, decks him, codebreaker, kick out! Matthews escapes the finish again, suplex hits! Flying forearms into the corner! Backstabber! Big kick on the corner, roll up the champ kicks out! Owen with a saito suplex, superkick, kick out! Shotgun dropkick to the corner, tornado ddt, brain buster, Matthews with a frogsplash. It’s ov—Owen Knight kicks out! Matthews gets his head stuck in the buckle, punt to the head. Blackout from the top! Owen Knight retains!!!

Match 8: “The ACEGAWD” Arik Royal & “Number One” Jaden Newman vs Violence is Forever (Kevin Ku & Dominic Garrini)

I officially don’t care who wins this. WE’VE already won. Jaden tries to Bob and weave with Ku but it’s pretty comical….and he gets taken right down. Newman tries to bridge out and Ku stomps him flat….but Jaden is right back up and in Ku’s face. He’s outclassed but refusing to give up. Jaden escapes and Royal eats a chop from Ku. Newman catches Ku and drops him to the apron. Two count on Ku and the Action champion walks Him down with short kicks. Boss man slam for two. Jaden in to pick the bones as Big Dom is just cut off and stuck on the apron. Ku drops Jaden to his knee, olympic slam to Royal, Dom gets the tag! Big Germans! Royal dropped with a lariat. Jaden with a useless slap, butterfly suplex to him and Dom kicks his head off. ViF working over the Acegawd. Newman makes the save, Dom stuck in a bad 2-on-1. Cravat flip ddt for two. Jaden tries the hangman’s clutch! Ku slams Royal into Newman to break it up. Massive impact here! Crowd chanting “This is awesome!” Royal and Ku trade big shots back and forth! Acegawd with an uppercut flurry, powerbomb for two! Royal misses Kobe, whipped into a dropkick. Back suplex dropkick wipes out Jaden. ViF goes high lo on Royal….Chasing the Dragon connects on Arik Royal and Kevin Ku pins the ACTION Champion!!!

Winner: Violence is Forever

Ku grabs the mic. No shock here…but Ku makes his challenge for the ACTION championship officially on March 4th! Yes. Yes for this match please and thank you <marks calendar>

Main Event: Alex Shelley(c) vs “The Mack of All Trades” AC Mack (for the IWTV championship)

I am highly biased here. This show exists solely to crown AC Mack the new IWTV champion and the crowd promises a riot if Shelley dares to win. Huge chants for AC Mack before the Shelley arrives to a chorus of boos. He’s not fazed by the reaction and smiles his way to the ring. Mack grabs the mic to announce himself in HIS ring. Scott Hensley holds this month’s PWI on high, declaring him the official number one contender for the IWTV championship. He’s still salty it took this long to get here but We. Are. Here. This is Mack’s house. Shelley watches Mack go through his opening routine impassively from the corner as Mack yells right into his face. The crowd drowns Scott Hensley out with boos. Shelley grabs the mic. He wants to talk too? The crowd tells him to HUSH. He tells Mack he better not miss because he just stepped to the king. I’m getting Cena/RVD at One Night Stand vibes here with this crowd. Shelley makes Mack wait for him at the bell and the crowd cuts right into him. Shelley runs him to the corner and gives Mack his literal blessing. The crowd is hushed as they work through the opening grapples. Mack stuck in a headlock and they try to clap him back to life. STF on Mack, who gets to the rope. Mack lands a big forearm and a crossbody! Body slam and a knee drop to the champ! Mack attacking the body with punches, meteora in the corner for two! Shelley dropkicks the legs and sends Mack to the floor. Up and over, Mack’s arm is in bad shape. Shelley picks up on it, slams it to the apron and jacks it up against the post. Shelley off the top, splash misses, Shelley shoulder blocks Mack right into the post. Tornado ddt, Mack kicks out! Shelley wrapping up the arm and drops a knee to the point of the elbow. Shelley keeps the pressure on the arm and shoulder, working AC over and antagonizing the crowd. This is your guy?!? Mack pulled up and controlled into a standing kimura. Shelley drags him across the ring. Mack tries to fight back but Shelley pulls him him with big forearms. Mack reverses a whip with a back elbow! Both down and the crowd is WILD for AC Mack. The locker room has emptied out and are surrounding the ring. Holy hell. Mack with a lariat! Leg lariat! Shelley clubbed on the top! Shelley throws him down….everyone pounding the ring! Mack pops up! Kick off the top, Shelley outside! Double suicide dive! Hooking lariat to the champ! Two count! The crowd is absolutely on fire for this! Mack pulls him up and tries the Mack 10…his arm is toast as Shelley runs him into the corner. Mack eats a kick, kicks out of the rollup, Mack’s trapped in the motor city stretch! Mack gets a foot to the rope!!! Shelley with short Kawada kicks to the face. Mack with a high kick! Shelley crumbles! Mack runs into the trap, face slam to the buckles. Lariat to the back of the head! Mack with a superkick! Swinging ddt! Two count! The room is shaking with how hard the crowd is slamming the ring apron! Mack goes for the Mack 10…he can’t do it. Flying knee. Meteora! Shelley kicks out! I can’t put over how hot the crowd is on the feed. Mack 10 fails again, back drop. Shelley tripped into the bottom buckle. Flying basement kick and both guys are wiped out! AC goes to the well…Shelley refuses to let it happen. Mack punching free as Shelley threatens the shoulder more. Mack pulled up and chopped down repeatedly. Shoulder breaker turns the crowd to boos hard. Shelley measures his shot…superkick, shell shock…kick out into the motor city stretch! Mack rolls him up from the submission! OH MY GOD HE GOT THE THREE COUNT!!!!!!

Everyone takes a knee as Mack grabs the mic. He wasn’t supposed to make it but he is so much more than people gave him credit for. He’s been told he has go everywhere BUT the south if he wants to make it. He calls out to Denver Colorado at Beyond Wrestling. If ANYONE wants a shot at his new baby Iris…they have to come to him. Southeast First! If they WANT HIM up North to fight someone, he better get flown up there and it better be on Delta. AC Mack goes into the record book as the first openly gay male world champion. If you want a shot, he dares you to cross the Mason-Dixon Line. But Iris? She’s staying here now. 

I cannot put over hard enough what a moment this was for the Southeast wrestling scene. Watch this show. Watch this show. Watch this show. I can’t say it any more plain. ACTION’s next show is March 4th but it seems like Denver Colorado needs to call Delta Airlines quickly if he wants Mack to show up at Day 91 on Feb 4th in Providence, RI. Until then!
