Impact Wrestling will tape TV today in Dallas, Texas at the Factory, featuring the fallout of their excellent Hard To Kill PPV last night. The taping will feature ROH Women's World Champion Rok-C vs. Deonna Purrazzo.
Internally, Impact was thrilled with the buzz Mickie James being in the Royal Rumble received, feeling it led to a lot of last minute additional interest in the PPV.
Tom Hannifan received universal praise behind the scenes for his call of the PPV. He and D'Lo Brown had a great chemistry all night.
Last night's Impact PPV was the first time the Knockouts Championship closed an Impact/TNA PPV since the creation of the Championship back at Bound for Glory 2007.
We are told the plan is for the ROH interlopers, Mike Bennett, Matt Taven, PCO and Vincent to be at today's taping. In actuality, none of those talents are currently under Ring of Honor contracts. PCO had exited Ring of Honor in November 2021 while the others' deals expired at the end of the year. I am not 10% on Maria Kanellis-Bennett's ROH contractual status but she will obviously be there at the taping as well.
The IInspiration vs. Influence bout for the Knockouts Tag Team Championship will take place at the forthcoming Fort Lauderdale TV tapings.
Impact's next PPV (beyond Impact+ specials) will be the 4/23 Rebellion PPV at the Mid-Hudson Civic Center in Poughkeepsie, NY.
