It's Wednesday Night! And you know what that means! It's rematch night! Adam Page and Bryan Danielson are set to go one more time for the AEW World Title. Jim Ross, Tony Schiavone and Excalibur have the call of the action. It's night 1 of the TBS era and we have a big night ahead. The first ever TBS Championship will be decided.
AEW World Championship: Adam Page (AEW World Champion) vs. Bryan Danielson
No way round 2 can be better, can it? Our three judges are Mark Henry, Paul Wight and Jerry Lynn. Hell of a way to kick off the TBS era. Page misses a kick and Danielson takes a little walk to the floor. Lockup, Page with the edge, he misses a chop. Danielson with a single leg takedown. Page escapes and Danielson bails again. Back in the ring, Danielson with an arm twist, Page reverses it into a hammerlock. Danielson escapes and does some jumping jacks. Lockup, headlock by Danielson. Arm twist by Danielson, Page with a headlock. Danielson shoves himoff and bails. Page nails a tope suicida bus misses his moonsault. Page with a punch. He throws Danielson back in and sets up the Buckshot. Danielson bails, Page tries a tope but Danielson throws him right into the barricade. Danielson throws Page into the steel post and wrenches the arm. Back in the ring, Danielson with kicks and chops. Page with chops of his own, Danielson goes right back to the right arm of the champion.
Danielson is going after the right arm like a hungry shark. Danielson is a technichal wizard. Hangman catches a cross body and hits a fallaway slam. Springboard lariat by Page, he connects with a tope. Page to the top and nails a clothesline for 2. Chop by Page. Page with a kick, he charges and Danielson backdrops him to the floor. Page catches a tope suicida attempt and Northern Lights the challenger. He charges and Danielson drop toe holds him into the steps. Page is bleeding. Danielson goes to the floor and punches away as we go to commercial.
Within a 15 hour period today I'll have watched this AND Wil Osprey vs. Kazuchika Okada. Jan 5 is a good day.
We're back and Page is a bloody mess. Danielson with a series of head butts. It looks vicious. Page with a chop. They're trading headbutts and chops. Single Underhook by the challenger and Danielson rains elbows. The challenger goes back to work on the cut. Chop by Danielson. Page catches a cross body and hits a desperation death valley driver. Chop by Page, Danielson responds in kind. Kick by Danielson. Page with a pair of Germans for 2. Danielson gets back to his feet and hits kicks and elbows. Boot to the face by Page. Both reverse suplexes and land on the floor. Page gets sent into the post.
The first "this is awesome" chant breaks out. They aint wrong.
Page blocks a post shot and sends his challenger into the post three times. Page rolls back in. Headbutts by Page. Danielson is now bleeding as Page does jumping jacks of his own. We go to commercial. Wow! This is good. What the hell are you doing reading this live? Get to a TV NOW!
We're back and Danielson is bleeding BADLY. They're fighting on the top rope. Page with a fallaway slam off the top for 2. I'm not a huge blood guy. In this context, with the richest prize at stake, I'm OK with it. Page with a deadeye on the floor. He sends Danielson back in the ring and tries the buckshot. Danielson slumps to the mat before impact. Small package by Danielson for 2 into a Labelle Lock. Page powers out and catapults Danielson to the apron. Page with a boot and sends Danielson to the floor. This time he hits the moonsault. Page tries the buckshot but Danielson hits the knee for a 2 count.
Have I mentioned how great this is?
Headbutts by Danielson, Page responds in kind. I've NEVER seen so many headbutts. This is vicious. Roundhouse kick and elbow by Danielson. Gotch piledriver for 2 by Danielson.
Danielson smiles at the judges. Wight looks very concerned.
Danielson stomps Page's head. Pop up powerbomb by Page but Danielson applies the triangle into a kneebar. Page kicks away and nails crossface forearms. Belly to Back by Page and he's ready to end it. Buckshot Lariat by Page and he scores the pin.

MJF vs Capt. Shawn Dean
CM Punk immediately runs in, MJF bails. Punk nails the GTS on Dean.
WINNER BY DISQUALIFICATION: Shawn Dean
Punk says this is what MJF can look forward to. MJF is very upset. He said Punk told everyone that he was done with MJF. MJF says Punk is nothing and that he (MJF) makes Punk relevant. MJF says Punk isn't any savior, he's no Roddy Piper, given that Piper was talented enough to main event a WreslteMania. Punk invites him to leave for WWE and main event night 4 of a buy 1 get 1 free extravaganza. Next week it's CM Punk vs. Wardlow.
Le Champion Chris Jericho comes out to address New Jersey. He says hello to TBS. He's not happy with being attacked by 2.0. He didn't come out to help Eddie Kingston last week..
Out comes 2.0 and Jericho gets a "square head" chant going and then goes to "pin head". Jericho grabs Floyd the bat. Daniel Garcia attacks and JEricho gets triple teamed. Santana, Ortiz and Kingston make the save
Adam Cole, Bobby Fish and Kyle O'Riley are in the back. Cole knows getting kicked by O'Riley was an accident. Cole challenges JAke Atlas to a match on Rampage
Wardlow w/Shawn Spears vs. Already in the ring Antonio Zambrono
Spears with a death valley driver to Zambrono before the bell behind the referee's back. Wardlow with 5 powerbombs and finally scores the pin.
WINNER: WARDLOW
TBS Championship Final Round: Jade Cargill w/Mark Sterling vs. Ruby Soho
Lockup, Cargill throws Soho down. Lockup, they exchange forearms. Soho sends her to the apron and shoulderblocks her to the floor. Dropkick by Soho. Jade with a kick as Soho re enters the ring. Double axehandle off the top by Cargill. Cargill goes to the ropes and Soho nails an armdrag. Mercedes Martinez comes and Thunder Rosa immediately thwarts her. They fight to the back as we go to commercial.
We're back and Soho is slumped in the corner. Cargill misses a charge and Soho nails 3 running kicks. Knee strikes and an enziguiri by Soho. Takedown by Soho. Cargill seems a little lost. Soho with leg kicks but JAde catches her and connects with a shoulderbreaker and a pump kick for 2. Ruby tries a sunset flip. Saito suplex for 2 by Soho. Sterling to the apron, Aubrey Edwards kicks him out. Rollup for 2 by Soho. Sole food by Soho for 2. Soho is angry and frustrated. Soho with a rollup for 2. Ruby pounds her in the corner and tries an armdrag off the ropes. Cargill with Jaded from the top rope and scores the pin.
WINNER AND FIRST EVER TBS CHAMPION: JADE CARGILL
Earlier today Jim Ross spoke to Serena Deeb. Deeb feels disrespected. It's no longer about competition, she wants to hurt Shida. Ross believes she's best woman wrestler in the world today. Deeb vs. Shida IV is set for next week.
Malakai Black vs. Brian Pillman Jr. w/Julia Hart
Lockup, Pillman with a clean break. Shoulder block by Black and Pillman counters with a dropkick and throws Black to the outside as we go to commercial.
We're back and Pillman with a rollup but Black with a kick to the head. Julia looks distraught. Pillman clutches Black's legs and nails 3 elbows and chops in the corner. Suplex for 2 by Pillman. Pillman slips off the top rope. As he tries to get up, he eats a Black Mass for the pin.
WINNER: MALAKAI BLACK
Black goes back in to stalk Hart. The Lucha Bros come out and the lights go out. When the lights go back on, Black is in the aisle and The Lucha Bros are in the ring tending to Pillman.
Tony Schiavone tries to get a word with Ruby Soho. Dr. Britt Baker interrupts her. Baker hits her and Riho helps out.
