Welcome to the team! #JakeAtlas is All Elite! pic.twitter.com/b9oDuGLZWZ
Atlas, who announced he was taking time off from professional wrestling after Ring of Honor appearances in September 2021, returned to the ring last month, working the AEW Dark tapings in Jacksonville, Florida. His match aired last night on AEW Dark - Elevation with Atlas beating Serpentico.
Atlas, 26, was first seen on a national scale when appearing on a WWE-centric episode of CBS' Undercover Boss with Stephanie McMahon. He was later signed to the promotion for the NXT brand before being released last year.
Atlas commented:
If only everyone knew every detail leading up to this. This means everything to me. Cliché but I REALLY have a lot to prove now. This year, whether you love me or hate me, you’re going to know me. It is what it is. Superstar is back. ?
