INTERNATIONAL PRO WRESTLING HALL OF FAME WELCOMES RENAMED MVP ARENA IN ALBANY, NY, PROPOSED HOME FOR IPWHF

The International Pro Wrestling Hall of Fame issued the following:

IPWHF WELCOMES 2022/TIMES UNION CENTER RENAMED

1/4/2022 - Albany, NY -The International Professional Wrestling Hall of Fame want to wish everyone a very Happy New Year.  As we move into 2022, the future of "The Hall" is extremely bright with some MAJOR announcements on the horizon.  

As of 1 January, the Times Union Center, home to many of professional wrestling's most memorable moments including IPWHF Inductee Ric Flair's iconic 1992 Royal Rumble Championship win and the infamous "Beer Truck" segment from Monday Night Raw in 1999 will now be known as "MVP ARENA".

MVP Health Care has purchased the naming rights to the iconic building on Pearl Street and the former Times Union Center will be known as "MVP Arena" moving forward.  The proposed plans for the IPWHF location within the Times Union Center/MVP Arena remain unchanged and will move forward as planned.  More information to follow soon.   

MVP Arena located at 51 Pearl St. in Downtown Albany, New York is also home to Siena Basketball, Albany Empire of the National Arena League and the Albany FireWolves of the National Lacrosse League; as well as numerous concerts and events year-round to include the WWE.

The International Pro Wrestling Hall of Fame is a registered 501(c)3 Not for Profit Organization founded in 2019 dedicated to the preservation and education of the history of Pro Wrestling.
