Live, ongoing results of CZW Limelight from Havre De Grace Maryland!
There are about 40 in attendance.
The opening contest is The Lit Superstar Sebastian Cage against CZW standout athlete Vinny Talotta.
Both men are considered to be up and comers. Talotta is able to use his power to thwart much of Cage's high flying offense. Cage catches Talotta with a springboard flipping senton from the apron. Impressive! Cage goes to the other side of the ring and tries another springboard offensive maneuver, Talotta catches him mid-air and slams him to the mat HARD! Talotta now on the offense. He executes a tilt-a-whirl gut buster driving all of the air out of The Lit Superstar. He attempts this move again shortly after administering some punishment on Cage. This time Cage is able to reverse it into a code breaker! Seizing the opportunity Cage ascends to the top but Talotta cuts him off and executes an F-5 flapjack to pick up the victory.
Your winner, CZW Standout Athlete Vinny Talotta!
Next up we have Mother Endless against Adena Steele.
The two women cautiously engage one another at the onset with Endless getting the better of Steele in the mat wrestling department. Steele turns the tables on her with a satellite head scissors but it is not long before Endless is once again in control. The wrestle to the apron and Endless is able to skin the cat planting both feet in the face of her opponent as she muscles her way back in the ring. Steele is just being overwhelmed in this bout. Endless taunts her incessantly wickedly laughing at the torturous offense she is dishing out. One more flurry from Steele whom is able to hit a surprise TKO to Mother Endless but only gets a two count out of her efforts. They jostle about a bit more for dominance until Endless is able to lock on a rear naked choke with her legs clasped around Steele's abdomen. Steele submits in quick fashion by tapping out furiously.
Your winner by submission, Mother Endless!
CZW announcer and MCW Pro backstage correspondent Rosaria Ela is out to interview one half of tonight's main event, Griffin McCoy.
Rosaria informs the crowd that McCoy's scheduled opponent Rich Swann is UNABLE to compete tonight due to illness. McCoy goes on to run down all of the men he's beaten including "that old man J.D. Drake". This brings Drake out to confront McCoy. He states the first time he underestimated the boy...but not tonight if he will give him another shot. McCoy accepts and we have our NEW main event set for CZW Limelight...J.D. Drake vs Griffin McCoy.
A battle of the big men is next as Grim battles The Big Boy from Brooklyn Tyree Taylor.
These to went IN on each other. Taylor sent his entourage to the backstage as he would not be needing their services this night. These two behemoths actually snapped the top rope as they were engaged in battle! Grim hits an impressive flipping senton over the second (now top rope) Back in the ring Taylor turns things around with a huge lariat flipping Grim inside out. Mr. Grim is not going down that easily as he is somehow able to get Taylor in the corner on the ground and fires a knee strike to his face before dragging him to the middle of the ring scooping him up with ease and Death Valley Drivering him to the mat for the 1-2-3!
They are taking an intermission to repair the ring.
We're back after the ring has been put back together.
Boom Harden along with Desean Pratt (collectively known as CMD's Finest) will face Miami Mike Walker who we most recently saw competing at MCW Pro's Last Call on Thursday 12/30. Pratt is in the ring on the mic jaw jacking with Walker allowing Harden to sneak attack him as he's distracted by Desean. Nice T-Bone head and arm suplex by Harden who is very fired up for this bout. Pratt on the outside gets a few cheap shots in on Walker. Back in the ring Walker fires up on Boom with some resounding chops! Harden able to take back over with a lariat. Harden works him over before Walker reverses an irish whip and follows up with two high Muay-Thai style knees in the corner. Both men are down after Walker hits a high and tight german suplex. The workrate in this bout is tremendous. Walker gets taken up by Harden for an atomic drop, he reverses it takes Harden up in atomic drop position then like a seesaw rocks him down furiously flapjacking his prone body to the mat. Pratt is distracted by the crowd not noticing the three count from ref Theo Ivory!
Your winner Miami Mike Walker!
CMD's finest then jumps Walker after the bout beating him down and leaving through the crowd scaring fans the entire way. Crowd cheers Walker as he's helped to the back.
We have another big man bout on deck as Eran Ashe is battling former ROH 6 man tag champion Moses. Moses is accompanied to the ring by Dante Caballero. The irresistible force vs the immovable object is the name of the game in this one. The big men lambast one another with his impact clotheslines and sidewalk slams. Dante insinuates himself into this fight getting in Erans face. Earn goes for Dante on the apron then with the quickness scoops Moses up on his shoulders then executes a thunderous Samoan Drop to pick up the 1-2-3.
Your winner, Eran Ashe!
The Triple Threat tag team bout for our co-main event now as The REP of Nate Carter and The Missing Ingredient Bishop fight Prolific of Isiah Wolf and Marcus Marquee against The Amazing Graysons of Tommy Grayson and JP Grayson. Triple Threat rules so only two men in at a time
The match starts off with The Rep and The Graysons testing each other. Before long, Prolific is able to isolate jp Grayson in their corner and work him over. He makes a tag to Tommy who provides some relief before Nate Carter of The Rep tags in to beat up on Isiah Wolf. A distraction from Marcus allows Wolf to hit a high flying running knee. Prolific now has Carter isolated. They work on him making quick tags and just bludgeoning him in their corner. Eventually all hell breaks loose with the referee struggling to gain any kind of control. The Grayson are somehow able to hit an assisted blockbuster on Kris Bishop for the victory!
Rayo vs Action Andretti now. Really action packed fight. They go all over the outside at times hitting tope suicidas and other high impact maneuvers like a scintillating falcon arrow out of Andretti scoring a near fall. The end of the bout sees Rayo pick up a win via victory roll! Really solid match out of these two mainstays of Maryland wrestling.
On to our main event set up earlier in the night, Griffin McCoy vs the blue collar badass J.D. Drake, subbing for an ill Rich Swann. A solid main event sees McCoy focus on Drake's arm. Drake rallys and uses his power to mount an offense. McCoy targets the arm once again and lands a Dragon Suplex followed by a tiger suplex! Drake kicks out at the last min but there is some confusion as the bell rings. Ref Casey is stating it was a three count but after much protesting from both McCoy and Drake the match is restarted. McCoy goes for a beautiful disaster but Drake evades only for McCoy to go to the well once more and land the springboard kick for a 1,2,3 victory.
Your winner, J.D. Drake!
