Main Event: Barbed Wire Massacre: Matt Tremont vs Kennedi Copeland
Lot of barbed wire in and around this ring. Copeland ducks under the bulldozer a couple of times, he thinks he got her but she drops into an armbar. The boss almost introduces Kennedi to the wire but settles for a gutwrench slam. Test of strength? Tremont with a gut kick. Tremont tries to escape but Kennedi grinds that bat into his forehead. More bay shots to the abs. Senton into the bat! Two count! More shots and Kennedi hits him with a barbed wire board in the skull. She sets up the board, kicks it in, senton off the top through the board on Tremont! Tremont out at one! Kennedi wraps Tremont in barbed wire and applies a armbar and torques it hard. Tremont taps out! This felt incredibly one-sided and it was really a matter of when Kennedi would do enough damage to get the W, as Tremont never seemed to fire back up effectively and mostly just told Kennedi to hit him over and over. Felt weird to me but Tremont put her over as carrying the Deathmatch torch forward and lets her soak in the crowd appreciation as we bring the show to a close.
Winner: Kennedi Copeland
And that’s it for “Massacre in Massachusetts”! Marcus Mathers vs Anthony Greene was the standout match of the card that I’d absolutely love to see again down the road…and maybe more from both of them in general. The Wrestival draws to a close starting in about an hour, with our final show from Limitless Wrestling! Until then!
