Welcome to ongoing results of MCW's Farewell event at the MCW Arena in Joppa, Maryland!
Solid crowd of around 600 here tonight for MCW's Last Call.
MCW Co owner Dan McDevitt out to thank the crowd for supporting MCW Pro for the past 8 years in this building. Mentions names like Lio Rush, Lita and Derrick Moore as former students of MCW Pro that have gone on to heights like Hall of Fame inductions. He notes that many matches have been changed due to illness or suspected COVID-19 cases. He tells the fans to stay tuned as MCW is not going anywhere and they will announce their new building as soon as they lock one down for 2022 and beyond.
First match up is a Four Corners number 1 contender bout (one fall) with the winner receiving a MCW Pro title match later on this evening against defending champion The Mecca Brian Johnson. Participants are MCW fan favorite Ken Dixon, ROH standout The Mile High Magnum Dak Draper, former ROH Six Mann Tag Team champion MOSES and former MCW Pro Champion Dante Caballero.
Mike Kehner is our ref.
The match is immediately interrupted at the sound of the bell by strange horror movie like video playing on the screen. A voice makes a proposition to Caballero revealing that Portia (gorgeous member of The Cartel) is with them and ask if Dante is willing to make a trade...the MCW Title if he should win for Portia back. Dante sets the chair up in the corner but Dixon reverses the assault and whips Caballero into the chair then catches him on rebound with a powerslam. Moses back in along with Draper. Moses tosses Dixon out and he and Draper have a test of might. Draper was able to scoop Moses up walking around the ring and powerslam him before Dantes back in to punish Moses.
It appears as if Draper and Caballero are working together to go for a double Suplex off the top rope but fail. Draper tosses Dante out wanting to win himself. Dixon back in with the chair... he cleans house on Dante and Draper then turns his attention to Dante. Moses avalanches a distracted Dante. Dante is out after this leaving Dax and Dixon to tangle. Back-and-forth until Moses clothesline Dax out of the ring. Moses and Dixon square up but Caballero back in with a chair. Hits both Moses and Dixon with the chair then turns attention to Dixon.
Backstage segment plays showing Joe Keys approaching MCW GM Phill Stamper stating that he had a replacement for his partner Breaux Keller who is out sick and unable to compete here tonight. Phill is annoyed at this.
Next up, we have Megan Bayne facing Erica Leigh who is substituting for an also sick Veda Scott. Pretty standard women's match here. The story being told is Megan Bayne is too big and too strong for the smaller Erica Leigh to overcome; although Erica Leigh shows many flurries of offense and signs of being able to possibly win...she goes down in defeat from a nasty tombstone piledriver by Megan Bayne at 5 minutes and 33 seconds.
Another video plays showing some of the history that had taken place right here in the MCW Arena including The Hardys expedition for gold, Scott Hall's appearances, Rikishi, and more.
Next we have the MCW Tag Team championships being decided as Drolix and Chuck Lennox of Black Wall Street defend against Myles Hawkins and Killian McMurphy known as The Trade.
The match quickly turns into The Trade cutting off Chuck Lennox from his partner, isolating him in their corner, making quick tags, and punishing Lennox through and through. Both McMurphy and Hawkins look fantastic together. Dante Caballero comes out distracting The Trade as he is looking for a Porsche and believes that The Trade are behind or have some idea of her whereabouts a hullabaloo commences on the ramp. Classic Eric Martin is out and is arguing with Dante who is screaming "Where is Portia"!
Black Wall Street is able to hit a 3-D on both Hawkins and McMurphy. Ref Becky is on the outside trying to maintain control from all of the chaos that is ensuing...Eric Martin slips into the ring, grabbed one of the MCW tag team championships and lays out both Lennox and Drolix with it. Hawkins is able to crawl over to a prone Drolix and cover him to with the MCW Tag Team Champions for himself Killian and The Trade. It appears as if Classic Eric Martin may be associated or affiliated with The Trade.
Winners The Trade at 11 mins and 49 seconds NEW MCW Tag Team Champions
Another video plays, showing the history of MCW in the MCW Arena the video featuring Ted DiBiase, WWE Hall of Famer making an appearances and locking the Million Dollar Dream on MCW manager JP Callahan, among other things that happened over the 8 years MCW was running shows out of Joppa.
MCW General Manager Phil Stamper is out to address the crowd here. He unveils the new MCW Rage TV championships and informs everyone the Kekoa had travel issues so will not be here to defend the title against Brandon Scott therefore there will be a number one contenders match for the MCW Rage TV championship as Brandon Scott faces The Kingpin Demarcus Crane and that match is happening next!
Brandon Scott is a former Shane Shamrock Memorial cup winner; he takes the battle to Demarcus Kane who is accompanied by former MCW women's champion Gia Scott. They fight on the outside for a bit until Demarkus Kane is able to use his unmitigated power to best Brandon Scott then roll back into the ring and wait for Brandon Scott to re-enter. Scott re-enters and is able to wrestle Demarcus Kane into a position where he is in control of the big man that is until Gia Scott distracts him causing Brandon to take his eyes off the ball and turn right back around into a massive spine buster from Demarcus Kane. A methodical assaults in ensues with Demarkus Kane wearing Brandon Scott down with chin locks, boot eye rakes and general beating of his body into the mat.
Demarcus get cocky and goes to the second rope posing for the fans. This proved a mistake DOOM as Brandon Scott was able to rally and hit a flurry of offensive moves including super kick in the corner followed by a long blower assisted by the second ropes. Scott is looking to put the Marcus away by ascending the top rope and hitting an elbow drop for a two count. Scott ascends the ropes again to go for another high-impact move but Gia Scott grabbed his foot causing him to crotch himself on the top rope. Demarcus Kane picks up Brandon Scott and hits a twisting jackhammer brain buster Suplex to put the former Shane shamrock memorial cup champion down.
Your winner, The Kingpin Demarkus Krane at 8 mins and 55 seconds.
Another video package plays this one showing an appearance in the MCW Arena by former WWE superstar Scarlett Bordeaux. In this video, we are shown a recap of when Scarlett Bordeaux became MCW Rage TV Champion by defeating the king of Maryland Ryan McBride. The video also includes Brandon Scott's Shane Shamrock Memorial Cup win, which was ironic in that they showed us this after Brandon Scott just lost a match.
Joe Keys is out with his replacement tag partner, Classic Eric Martin, who we saw get involved in the Tag Team title match earlier. They are facing two of the attractions of the show, AEW's The Acclaimed of Anthony Bowens and Platinum Max Caster.
Bowens and Caster are able to use arm drags, hip tosses, drop toeholds and all types of elementary pro wrestling maneuvers to basically run circles around classic Eric Martin Joe Keys. It is not too long before they deposit both Keys and Martin on the outside of the ring to regroup and await them to return. Eric Martin is able to craftily lead Bowens into chasing him around the outside, Martin makes a blind tag to Keys, he sneaks in behind Bowens and bulldogs his head into an awaiting Eric Martin knee. Keys and Martin are not able to capitalize however as Bowens makes a quick tag to Platinum Max Caster who goes to town on both show Keys and Eric Martin with clotheslines and house of fire maneuvers. Keys and Martin aren't going down that easily however and are able to use heel moves like an eye rake to turn it back around and start to dish out punishment to the Acclaimed!
This goes on until a malfunction allows Caster to make a tag back to Bowen. Bowen's now in and is cleaning house for his team he is able to throw Joe Keys into Eric Martin then execute a neck breaker on Martin driving Joe Keys down into a DDT and executing a double team maneuver by himself! Both teams are able to hit high impact maneuvers and score many near falls in the next exchange in the match. At one point Keys execute a flawless judo throw onto Bowens. Keys also catches Caster with draping DDT as he tried to enter the ring. Joe is on fire! Keys and Martin have the match clearly at hand now! Keys pics Bowens up to execute a double team maneuver. It looks like the Hart Attack set up,
Martin hits the ropes then quickly and gingerly exits the ring leaving Keys by himself to be defeated by The Acclaimed as Caster hit an elbowdrop.
MCW's Ring Announcer Danny Mays announces Celebfest 3 coming to Baltimore on February 5th and 6th, featuring Lio Rush, Adam Cole and Lita, among others. Mays then sends the crowd to a brief intermission.
Back from intermission here in Joppa and we have an MCW Women's title bout as ROH's Quinn McKay battles MCW Women's champion Rae Lynn. Special guest (Ring Announcer) for the bout is longtime MCW mainstay the lovely Tara!
The women exchange wrists locks, hammer locks, monkey flips and acrobatic pin attempts leading to Quinn gaining control with a cravat. Rae Lynn is able to create separation by firing Quinn off into the ropes but it is not long before Quinn is able to negotiate the cravat once again. Lynn is able to maneuver Quinn into the corner then opens up on her chest with a bevy of chops. Quinn goes for an offense maneuver but he's met with a boot by the defending champion. Rae Lynn seizing on her opening goes to the top rope for a flying crossbody block, in a feat of amazing strength McKay is able to catch Rae Lynn out of the crossbody block and slam her defiantly to the mat.
Lynn stays on McKay locking in an arm bar but McKay is able to fire Lynn off of the ropes; she then hits the opposite ropes, both women go for a high crossbody attack but crash into each other and crumble in the center of the ring. McKay is able to capitalize on her down opponent and locks in a dreaded crossbow submission before then moving into a real naked choke with her legs clasped around the champions abdomen. The Champion Rae Lynn fights out of this predicament and is able to take down Quinn McKay with some hard hitting offense.
Megan Bayne walks out onto the ramp distracting Rae Lynn who hits a tope suicida on Bayne knowing she is out for nothing but trouble. Bayne showing impressive strength catches Lynn and executes a shoulder breaker on the outside then rams her into the outside post. Ref Becky rules the bout a DQ in favor of Ray Lynn due to outside interference by Bayne. During all of this Gia Scott makes her way down to the ringside area as well and begins to help Megan administer a beat down on both Rae Lynn and Quinn McKay. Bayne and Scott leave together apparently now on aligned.
The winner of the bout at 8 mins 35 seconds by DQ Quinn McKay however still MCW Woman's Champion Rae Lynn!
We go to a video package of footage from the very last Piper's Pit that ever too place right here at the Joppa Arena of MCW. Also in the video package, is a recap of a match that took place between the late 11-time MCW champion The Bruiser and the son of WWE Hall of Famer Big John Studd, Sean Studd.
Next we have Shane Shamrock Memorial Cup winner Action Andretti battling The F'N Machine Brian Cage.
At the onset, Andretti tries to use his quickness to stay away from the power of Brian Cage but to no avail as The F'N Machine is able to toss his opposition from pillar to post including outside of the ring when he takes him on a tour of the wild side whipping him from guard rail to ring post and eventually back into the ring. Andretti Is really struggling with the onslaught of The Machine Brian Cage. Cage gets him into the ring and executes a standing backflip moonsault pushing all of the air out of Andretti's body after this he locks on a chain lock but Andretti is able to use a jawbreaker to get out of this hold. He pretty quickly gets to the apron and tries a step in STO maneuvers but Brian Cage cut him off with a lariat, nearly decapitating the young wrestler.
Andretti once again is able to somehow get to the apron using it to his advantage propelling himself into the ring and knocking Brian Cage down with a springboard dropkick. Cage is knocked all the way out of the ring! Andretti hits a Asai moonsault to the outside nailing Cage then celebrates by hitting another guard rail assisted high impact move on the outside. Andretti continues his highflying offense getting Cage into the ring and spring boarding himself with a somersault senton which Cage is able to catch him out of and Jackhammer suplexes him into the mat.
Cage whips Andretti into the corner and charges in, Andretti is able to move and hit him with a Spanish fly getting a two count out of this. Cage then catches Andretti in a wheel barrel planting him in the center of the ring with a sit down flap jack. The F'N Machine then hits a number of German Suplexes in secession on Andretti. Despite all of this the Shane Shamrock Memorial Cup Champion fights through the pain and still shows signs of being in the match to win.
In a last ditch effort to win the match, Andretti is able to hit a Canadian destroyer out of nowhere on Cage but is only able to get a two count out of this. Andretti once again ascends to the top rope but before he is able to hit anything Cage is up and back on the attack. He works Andretti into a position to set him into the Gory Guerrero special then within a flash he releases him from the position and sends his body ricocheting to the mat for a three count from Mike Kehner earning a victory.
Your winner at 16:19 Brian Cage!
The next scheduled match is a six man tag team affair scheduled to be 'The Winner Circle' of Andy Vineberg, King Ryan McBride and Sam Adonis versus Pat Brink, Alec Odin and local hero and seafood restaurant owner Johnny Crabcakes from Jimmy's Famous Seafood.
A video plays from King Ryan McBride informing everyone that he will not be in competition tonight but never fear Andy Vineberg of The Winners Circle has found a suitable replacement for The King in newcomer to MCW Pro, Miami Mike. Miami Mike looks like someone from out of Night at the Roxberry and has no tan whatsoever.
The team of Odin, Brink and Crabcakes isolate Miami Mike very quickly and beat him with an inch of his life before he wisely is able to make a tag to Adonis. Adonis and Crabcakes engage one another with Crabcakes hitting a flying shoulder block and then a few clotheslines before ascending the turnbuckle and hitting Adonis 10 times in a row. The match continues on for a bit with each member of each team engaging one another....besides Andy Vineberg in the end Johnny Crabcakes local seafood owner starts hitting spear on everyone finally culminating with a spear on Vineberg negotiating the 1, 2, 3 and the win for his team of 3.
One last video package shown before main event - The MCW championship being presented to the children of the late 11-time champion R.J. 'The Bruiser' Myer at the Bruiser Memorial event held in his honor.
Ken Dixon (challenger) vs Brian Johnson for the MCW Heavyweight Championship.
Dixon earned this opportunity earlier in the night.
Before each competitor walks the ramp they show videos of them walking down a hallway being cheered on (in the case of Dixon) or glared at (in the case of Johnson) while on their way to the ring.
Before the match commences MCW Ring Announcer Danny Mays informs the crowd that it is now a No Disqualification match.
With this new development, Dixon wasted no time in taking the match to the outside of the ring. Dixon atomic drops the champion on the guard rail and then begins chopping his chest right in front of the front row fans. Johnson turns the tables on Dixon and sent him careening into the ring post then he starts taking over stomping the daylights out of him and beating him like he stole something around the ring. Dixon is having none of that in a street fight he turns to tables on Brian Johnson and beats him all the way up the ramp and they begin fighting on the stage. Dixon hip tosses Johnson off the stage then leaps off of the stage on to Johnson who had landed on a pile of security guards from the hip toss.
The bout is beginning to resemble an old Memphis brawl. MCW Pro owner Danny Mcdevitt is now out looking as the fighters fight through the MCW crowd on the very last show from Joppa.
In a spectacular sequence, Ken Dixon Irish whips Brian Johnson into the front door/side exit to the venue, Dixon then spears Johnson through a wall separating the fans from the backstage area! These two literally went crashing through a wall to the backstage area...there was so much commotion heard in the backstage area from the two competitors fighting.
Then, on the opposite side of where they entered they once again come crashing through the wall this time with Johnson Irish whipping Ken to back into the sight of the crowd! Wild WILD brawl on going here! They fought all the way through the crowd back to the ring, a table and chair have made their way into this battle.
Ken Dixon has the match well in hand when Brian Johnson uses some kind of powder that was tucked away in his trunks to try and blind Dixon. He misses Dixon and hits Referee Mike Kehner then accidentally clotheslines Keener, who is now down and out. Brian Johnson, a notorious rulebreaker, then goes to get the MCW championship title he hits Dixon with it while Kehner is still out ...he goes for a cover but Kehner is slow to make the count. Dixon kicks out at two.
Brian Johnson says to hell with this match and tries to escape, but as he's going up the ramp with his belt, several of the wrestlers from MCW Pro cut him off at the pass witn both the babyfaces and the heels blocking Johnson from leaving.
MCW Wrestling's roster surrounded the wedding and are banging on it as Dixon is able to kick out at one from a fisherman's brain buster and then a Larry Legend from Brian Johnson. Nothing is stopping Dixon in this match he almost seems impervious to pain at this point. All of the fans in the MCW Arena are standing up at this point.
Dixon is now following up on Johnson's and beating him furiously. Johnson is able to use a poke to the eye followed by a DVDR but only gets a two count on Dixon! Dixon give Johnson a double middle finger and Johnson starts kicking him over and over again. Johnson stomps him to the point that Dixon almost seems to be unconscious.
Johnson then goes and sets up the table in the opposite corner of where he has just kicked Dixon down. Johnson goes to suplex Dixon through the table. Dixon reverses into a small package then gets up and quickly flapjacks Brian Johnson down for another two count. Dixon then reveals a Crown Royal bag filled with thumbtacks and lays them out on the table in the corner. Despite his best efforts to drive Johnson through the table, Johnson is beside himself with rage!
Johnson starts berating Ken Dixon and telling him that he "failed The Bruiser", but the insults inspired Ken to dig down deep inside, pop up and catch Johnson with a TKO style maneuver, covering him and hooking the leg 1, 2, 3!
Your winner and new MCW Pro Heavyweight Champion at 21:29, Ken Dixon!
