A very rare appearance and reunion was announced for the 80s Wrestling con this May in Edison, NJ at The Mennen Sports Arena in Morristown, NJ as Jake Roberts and his ex-wife Cheryl Roberts will appear together for the first time. This is Cheryl's first-ever wrestling convention appearance. She took part in an incredible angle with the late Rick Rude where he attempted to kiss her when she was sitting at ringside, only to learn she was Roberts' wife, which led to a big brawl and an incredibly heated feud at the time. Jesse Ventura will also be making a rare appearance signing at the event. Barbara Goodish, the wife of the late Bruiser Brody will be on hand to receive an 80’s Wrestling Lifetime Achievement Award for Brody. Doug Gilbert will be promoting a Tennesee Championship Wrestling event in Jackson, TN at the Oman Arena on 2/5/22 with Gilbert, Jerry Lawler, Wolfie D, QT Marshall and more appearing. The late Bert Prentice used to promote the same venue and do very well.
Gangrel recently underwent stem cell replacement therapy to assist him with some nagging injuries. Our best to him.
