ROMAN REIGNS MISSES EVENT, DREW VS. SHEAMUS STREET FIGHT & MORE: WWE HOLIDAY TOUR RESULTS FROM TAMPA, FL

By Ashley Colton on 2021-12-26 19:46:00

They announced due to COVID some WWE Superstars will not be here.

Drew McIntyre is opening the show talking about Tampa, moving here, westling in FCW and the Thunderdome at Tropicana Field.  The Usos come out and interrupt and say the fans came to see The Universal Champion, Roman Reigns but "too bad he ain't here tonight."

The Usos jump Drew as Sheamus hits the ring to make the save.  Sheamus said we started here together. It's where it all began and we put things behind us for the night and let's take the Smackdown Tag Team titles from the Usos.  Drew says you're right and The Tampa Warriors are gonna kick your arses!

*Kofi Kingston defeated Sami Zayn.

*Xia Li defeated Shotzi Blackheart.  Shayna Bazler attacks Li post match goes for the elbow stomp but Li breaks free and chases off Shayna.

*Ridge Holland defeated Mansoor.

*WWE Smackdown Tag Team Champions The Usos defeated Sheamus and Drew McIntyre.  Drew was setting up for a Claymore and Sheamus superkicked him  on purpose. The Usos walked out and Sheamus on the mic belittles Drew and Tampa, calls them fake scumbags and he deserves every single one of them and he has always been better than Drew. The crowd gets on Sheamus and he attacks Drew with his cane. He then challenges McIntyre to a Street Fight later tonight.

As we return from intermission, it's announced that Adam Pearce has made the street fight between Sheamus & Drew McIntyre official for the main event.

*There was some commotion backstage as a camera is shown on 24/7 Champion Dana Brooke. She is surprised by Aliyah and Toni Storm. They both attempt to pin her with roll ups but as she  takes off she runs into Drew Gulak who falls on her and there is a referee who starts to make the count. Drew was confused and Dana runs off with Toni and Aliyah behind. They make their way out to the ring for the same type of shenanigans but Dana Brooke escapes the night again still 24/7 champion.

Triple Threat Tag Team match: The Viking Raiders vs. Los  Lothario vs. Cesaro & Ricochet.  Really fun match. Ricochet & Cesaro pick up the win after a Cesaro Swing into a 630 from Ricochet on one of Los Lotharios.

Rick Boogz is here now to welcome us all and just as he was about to start to play his guitar, he was attacked by Happy Corbin. Corbin gives him some stomps in the corner and takes the mic that no one wants to hear Boogz play the guitar or see his "stupid ponytail" he doesn't want Boogz to ruin his continued Happiness. The bell rings and it's now Rick Boogz vs Happy Corbin...Corbin gets the win with a roll up and a hand full of tights.

*Smackdown Women's Championship Match: Charlotte Flair vs Sasha Banks.   A really good 20 min match between the two as Charlotte retains. Post match Charlotte wants to shake Sasha's hand.  Banks is reluctant and looks to the crowd for her decision as she appeared to give into Charlotte's gesture, The Champion goes to attack Banks who ducked under her clotheline and hit a backstabber on Charlotte and then held WWE Smackdown Womens title over her held.

It's now time for the main event of the Tampa Street Fight between Sheamus & Drew McIntyre.

A small chunk of the crowd left post womens match.

Standard street fight with classic weapons of kendo sticks, steel chairs and a table (which got a huge reaction from the crowd so Sheamus put it away) McIntyre came out with his ribs taped from the earlier assault from his tag partner turned opponent. Sheamus had control the majority of the match. Drew recovers as the crowd chants "we want tables" Drew goes to the outside and does that to a HUGE reaction from the fans in attendance. He sets the table up in the corner but Sheamus blocks any attempts Drew makes to use it. Ridge Holland comes down to support Sheamus and starts to get involved. But a power bomb from McIntyre through the table prevents that. Drew counts down with the fans in Tampa and hits the Claymore on Sheamus for the victory!

Post show Drew makes his way around ringside taking photos and signing autographs for fans.
Sarah Schreiber thanks us all for coming & Happy Holidays.

No return date is announced.
