Deadline.com reported today that FOX has cancelled it's New Years Eve Special FOX's New Year's Eve Toast & Roast 2022, which would have bumped Friday Night Smackdown, due to the spread of the Omicron variant of Covid-19.
No replacement programming has been named as of yet.
WWE does not have a live event scheduled for 12/31 as it is the eve of their 1/1/22 Day One PPV in Atlanta.
