Ring of Honor Chief Operating Officer Joe Koff will appear on the promotion's official podcast ROHStrong this Monday 12/20.
ROH's Kevin Eck, the host of the podcast, released several quotes from the podcast, including Koff addressing those who believe the promotion will not return from the hiatus that began with last week's Final Battle: End of an Era PPV. That show was the final event before talents were released from their exclusive contracts and featured a number of former ROH stars now with AEW and Impact Wrestling sending tribute messages in honor of the company. ROH social media that day referred to The Briscoes vs. OGK as determining the "final" Ring of Honor Tag Team Champions.
On the podcast however, Joe states that it is not an if when the company will return but a "when" stating, “What seeped into the narrative … is that we were shutting down, when all we announced is that we were not doing any live events in the first quarter. We never used the words ‘shutting down.’”
ROH is slated to run Wrestlemania 38 weekend in Dallas, Texas. While the venue has not been officially announced, PWInsider.com has been told by numerous sources that the venue had already been booked and paid for before the announcement of the promotion's hiatus.
The Koff podcast will be released this Monday.
