It's Wednesday, and AEW Dynamite is at the UBS Arena in Long Island and our commentary team is Excalibur, Tony Schiavone, and Taz.
We start with MJF's music and CM Punk comes out. He is met with boos because this is MJF's home city, and Punk asks if he is their guy. He mocks the Islanders and then keeps asking if MJF is their guy and makes fun of MJF and his fans. Punk wears a “Four Pillars” shirt with Britt Baker taking MJF's place. He keep heeling the Islanders, because he is a Chicago Blackhawks fan and he challenges MJF to stand a fight like they do in Chicago. He keeps hitting the crowd by pointing out things MJF has done and repeats “And he's your guy?”
A great way to get the crowd revved up and actually pushes the idea that MJF is a hero to the people in Long Island that MJF claimed a week ago. Yes, mocking the sports team of the area is cheap heat, but it's only part of what Punk does by trying MJF to Long Island and the Islanders.
He ends it by saying if that's their guy, they are like MJF, they are all chickensh!t.
As Punk goes back up the ramp, he motions that he welcomes their boos and their hate.
We get a rundown of tonight's card and our first commercial break.
MJF shows up in an expensive car, and the announcer puts over that in Long Island, MJF is a hero. His accomplishments are listed off and then MJF is standing in his high school football fields.

Then they both attack Dante Martin.
CM charges the ring and MJF bails. Starks stays in the ring. Dante hits Starks with a drop kick and Punk hits him with the GTS.
