It's Wednesday night, and you know what means! It's AEW Dynamite Live from Long Island NY. I'm betting the riot squad is out in full gear for when MJF runs them down like I expect. Will he defend the Dynamite Diamond? Will Bryan Danielson run the Dark Order gauntlett? So many questions as Excalibur and Tony Schiavone are joined by none other than Taz!
BTW Happy Birthday Dave Scherer.
MJF's music hits the arena as CM Punk emerges. He's getting roundly booed by Long Island. I can't wait until MJF tries to heel this crowd. He tells them that Chicago was so much louder. OH! He made fun of the Islanders, who've yet to win a home game. It's hot in L.I., punk takes off his jacket to reveal a 4 Pillars shirt, with Britt Baker replacing MJF on the shirt. Punk is making this Long Island vs. chicago. He understands EXACTLY how to address this crowd. More Islanders hate! Punk might get out here alive. We get a little Dennis Rodman history lesson, how Long Island only cheers MJF because he's one of them. Punk proposes he and MJF settle this. He wants MJF in the ring. He ends up calling MJF and Long Island chickenbleeps (Danhausen does not approve of swearing).
We have a Young Bucks match, a battle royal AND an 8 man tag. This sounds like a bullet point kind of night.
A sportscar pulls into a parking lot. It's MJF in a Lamborghini. The barker cites all of MJF's accomplishments, including being the leader of the high school Acapella group. You have to hear this yourself to appreciate it. The announcer declares him the Salt of the Earth.
Battle Royal for the Dynamite Diamond Ring
Long Island losses its mind as their hero comes out. He actually has what appears to be a genuine smile. Shawn Spears and Wardlow accompany him. Jay Lethal is in this, as are Wardlow, Hobbs, Mike Sydal, Matt Hardy,
Lee Moriarty is eliminated.
Dante Martin and Ricky Starks are in this, as are Lio Rush and Lee Johnson
Jay Lethal and Matt Hardy are both eliminated. Hobbs and Wardlow exchange shoulderblocks. Rush eliminates Hobbs as we go to commercial.
We are back to live action and we're down to what looks like 7. MJF is leading the cheers from the apron. Dante Martin dropkicks Wardlow and MJF eliminates Wardlow, Rush and Johnson, Wardlow being accidental, of course. Frankie Kazarian gets elimated. Martin turns on Starks to eliminate him. We have only 2 left.
WINNERS: Dante Martin and MJF
Martin takes off the Team Taz armband. MJF feigns sportsmanship and walks away. Ricky Starks attacks Martin. MJF looks flustered, a moral quandry, perhaps and runs back in and gets in Starks' face. Starks and MJF double team Martin until CM Punk makes the save. MJF scurries off. Starks eats a GTS. MJF jaw jacks to CM Punk from the aisle.
Jungle Boy Jack Perry, Luchasaurus, Brian Pillman Jr and Griff Garrison w/Christian Cage and Julia Hart vs. 2.0 & The Acclaimed w/Daniel Garcia

Eddie Kingston commandeers a TV camera man. Garcia and 2.0 attack Kingston, Santana and Ortiz, who were trying to calm him down.
Tully Blanchard and FTR talk about being the next and first two time AEW World Tag Team Champions. Friday night on Rampage, they get their title shot.
The Young Bucks w/Adam Cole & Brandon Cutler vs. Chuck Taylor and Rocky Romero w/Orange Cassidy
WINNERS: The Young Bucks
Cole and Cutler attack Cassidy. Wheeler Yuta, my new friend, tries to save him but gets laid out. Bucks hold Cassidy still so Cole can apply the Panama Sunrise and go for the Triple BTE
SUE AND MINIVAN ARRIVE. Trent? is here and makes the save by spearing Cutler and clotheslining the Bucks and Cole.
Best Friends/Chaos hug in the ring as Sue and Kris Statlander join them.
Good thing the sound guy had the Roppongi Vice theme at the ready.
We see highlights of Nyla Roses' attack on Ruby Soho. Penelope Ford and The Bunny interrupt Soho and tell her that Rampage will be a six woman tag with them and Rose vs. Soho and 2 partners of her choice. They attack. Good thing Anna Jay and Tay Conti are there to save the day.
Tony Schiavone is on the ramp with Sammy Guevara. Cody immediately interrupts him to thunderous applause. Just kidding, they booed the crap out of him. Cody informs him that he's next as the Rampage Christmas show. Men of the Year interrupt from the crowd and Page wonders why an EVP gets to skip to the head of the line. They announce Dan Lambert is coming back.
Jade Cargill and Thunder Rosa have some choice words for each other ahead of their TBS Semi Final Match
Riho vs. Jamie Hayter w/Dr Britt Baker and Rebel
Hayter with a shove. They lockup, Hayter misses a punch and Riho with forearms. Bodyslam for 1 by Hayter. Dropkick by Riho but a crushing backbreaker by Hayter. Running kick in the corner by Hayter. With the ref distracted, Baker with a choke. High running headscissors and a 619 by Riho. Cross body off the ropes by Riho for 2. Hayter slides out and Riho dives off the top turnbucke and misses. Hayter picks her up and slams her back into the post. Hayter rolls her back into the ring and ragdolls her into various turnbuckles for 2. Rear chinlock by Hayter. Suplex by Hayter as we go to commercial.
Back live, Riho with forearm smashes and mule kick in the cornerbut Hayter with a backbreaker. Chokeslam attempt by Hayter, rolled through by Riho and Riho with a double stomp. Hayter gets up first, rollup for 2 by Riho. Riho with a dragon suplex for 2, riho couldn't grasp her hands. Brainbuster by Hayter for 2. Chokeslam into a backbreaker by Hayter for 2. A weapon of mass destruction may be necessary here. Sunset flip by Riho. Leaping knee by Riho into a Destroyer for 2. Diving stomp off the top for 2 by Riho. I think the crowd is turning on this. Hayter blocks Riho on the top rope. Rebel distracts Riho, who is able to fight off Hayter for a crucifix bomb into the running knee for the pin.
WINNER: Riho
Baker attacks Riho and applies the lockjaw
Taz is ready for his announcement. This Friday, Hook makes his debut against Fuego Del Sol. If you listened the TWDNNSNS today, I think Dave and Mike may have willed this into existence.
We get some words from Serena Deeb. Deeb vs. Shida next Wednesday.
Tony is with the Varsity Blondes and Julia Hart. Lights go out and Malakai Black shows up and blows the mist into Julia Hart's eyes. Lights go out again and Black in gone.
Bryan Danielson vs. John Silver
Seems odd that I just saw John Silver 3 days ago at a Beyond show in Providence. Nice guy. Danielson smiles at Silver, like he's amused by Johnny Hungy's enthusiasm. Chain wrestling, Danielson actually shoulderblocks the Stronger Silver to the ground. Lockup, this time the Meat Man shoulderblocks Danielson to the ground. Danielson wants a test of strength but hits a round house kick. silver responds in kind. The announcers are talking about next week's title match, seemingly happy that a snake like Don Callis won't be there to ruin the match like last year. Hmmm. Danielson with a diving knee as we go to commercial.
Back live, Danielson with chops in the corner followed by kicks. Uppercut by Danielson. He goes for a shotgun dropkick but Silver counters into a powerbomb. they trade kicks. Silver with a kneebar. Danielson tries to kick Silver but Silver just smiles and howls. Danielson makes the ropes but Silver with a running senton. German by Silver, Danielson lands on his feet and kicks Silver in the head. Danielson goes for the knee but Silver sidesteps it and hits a German Bridge for 2. Danielson escapes a Spin Doctor with an eye gouge. Danielson rains elbows to the head and hits the Gotch Piledriver. Danielson applies a side full nelson. Silver is out and the ref calls it off.
WINNER: Bryan Danielson
He runs down his accomplishments over the last month. He's upset that he didn't kick Silver's head in. He proceeds to do it until Hangman Page makes the save.
We go to credits.
