Welcome to this week's BTI - Before the Impact on AXS TV report!
Josh Mathews and Gia Miller are the hosts.
They looked at highlights of last night's Impact on AXS main event with Moose & W. Morrisey vs. Matt Cardona & Eddie Edwards.
We saw a recap of Jonah murdering someone in his Impact debut.
They then set the stage for tonight's Chris Sabin & Mickie James vs. Drama King Matt & Deonna Purrazzo tag bout.
They looked at Violent by Design's recent issues with Heath Miller, Rhino, Willie Mack and Rich Swann.
They showed a flashback bout with Ace Austin vs. Trey Miguel.
The George Iceman segment was about the Hard to Kill PPV Knockouts Ultimate X match and that Scott D'Amore will need help picking the six competitors. That's obviously a tease for Gail Kim to get more involved on camera.
Lady Frost vs. Kimber Lee.
They locked up with Frost grabbing a side headlock. She worked the hold and took Lee down to the mat, wrenching away on the hold. Lee grabbed a head scissor but Frost slipped out and they faced off.
Frost went for a waistlock takedown but Lee went to the mat and reversed it. They went back and forth with Frost doing some flashy offense. Frost went for a kick in the corner but was caught and turned into a powerbomb against the buckles.
Lee worked over Frost then locked in a double arm submission. Frost fought her way out but was caught with a hard chop in the corner. Frost fired back but Lee drilled her harder. Lee was all over her and raked her face against the top rope. Frost came back with a crucifix takedown for a two count.
Lee drilled her with a kick to the face for a two count. Lee nailed a delayed vertical suplex for a two count. Lee kicked away at Frost, who fired back. They went for roundhouse kicks on the other at the same time, KOing each other. That was a cool sequence.
Frost came back with a beautiful cartwheel into a cannonball in the corner for a two count. Lee nailed a jawbreaker and sent Frost into the buckles. Lee missed a kick but was drilled with one. They fired back and forth. Lee took Frost down and nailed a kick to the head for another two count.
Lee went for a back suplex but Frost ecaped and used a roll through submission. Lee made it to the ropes to escape. They fired back and forth with forearms. Lee drilled Frost with a kick to set up a German suplex with a bridge for a two count. Frost came back with an awesome twisting moonsault for the pin.
Your winner, Lady Frost!
This was a damn good bout. Lee was awesome as the heel base foundation to make Frost look great and Frost showed great fire. A nice showing for each!
