MLW-ALL JAPAN UPDATE, PHILLY STREET FIGHT ON FUSION ALPHA AND MORE MLW NOTES

By Mike Johnson on 2021-12-07 08:52:00

There are plans for building to a big weekend next year featuring numerous All Japan Pro Wrestling stars working for Major League Wrestling, PWInsider.com has confirmed.  As MLW has gotten deeper in the woods with working with AJPW with Yoshihiro Tajiri as the conduit to the relationship, plans to work with New Japan have pretty much subsided for now.

After taking time off to rest injuries and for Marshall Von Erich to celebrate the birth of his family's son, expect a renewed focus and push for the Von Erichs starting with the Dallas return on 1/21/22.  Rok-C will also debut on that taping.

The United Wrestling Network's Dave Marquez is said to be coming in to assist on some editing for the MLW TV product.

Former WWE Cruiserweight Champion NZO will make his MLW debut tomorrow on Fusion: Alpha, facing Matt Cross.  The episode will be headlined by a Philly Street Fight for the MLW Tag Team Championship with Los Parks defending against 5150.

Plans to return in NYC this month are obviously pushed back to 2022.  The initial plan had been to run The Melrose Ballroom this month but it had never been officially announced.

The promotion will be running Wrestlemania 38 weekend in Dallas on Thursday 3/30.
