With WWE Home Video coming to an end now that DVDs will no longer be released in 2022, do you have any favorite classic Coliseum Video releases?

Honestly, no.  I have never been someone that goes back and watches old footage.  Given the current state of WWE booking, maybe that is something I should reconsider.

NXT is doing War Games and I couldn't care less.  I used to look forward to every Takeover and now I skip NXT TV most weeks.  What have they done?

They changed something that was different from the other WWE products into something that is just like Raw and Smackdown.  They want the NXT talent to be able to step right into main roster spots so they are training them to be like the wrestlers they present on those shows.  In doing so, they have taken away the elements that have made NXT different and special.  I feel the same way about it that you do.

It’s well documented that Vince McMahon changes his mind a lot. In Jim Ross‘s book, the phrase, “we’re going in a different direction, JR“ comes up a lot. So with all the changes in direction creatively, the short-lived tenures of Paul Heyman and Eric Bischoff running the shows, superstars getting main event pushes and then being released, etc….why hasn’t one of Vince’s changes in direction ever led to him letting Triple H run creative? Certainly he saw how he built up NXT almost from scratch to be a viable third brand selling out major arenas… I know one man can only do so much, but even if HHH was happy focusing on NXT, certainly he could have been giving free reign to appoint who he wanted to run and write Raw and SmackDown, where he could tweak things as needed… Plus he’s family, so that takes away the threat of him jumping ship elsewhere…

Well, he did see how HHH ran NXT and he changed it to NXT 2.0 so I think that tells you why HHH has never been given a chance to run the main product.  Also keep in mind that even when Bischoff and Heyman were overseeing the shows, they weren't running them.  Vince always was the final say on Creative and direction.

If Stone Cold was able to last one more year, who would you have liked to of seen him wrestle the most?  Just as reminder, WWE had Goldberg, Kevin Nash, Scott Steiner, Shawn Michaels, Brock Lesnar, and Eddie Guerrero all working full time in 2003.

Of that group, Brock would have been the most intriguing, for sure.  Of course, the caveat is that the company had to be booking the way that they did in 2001, not the way that they were going by 2003.

Is Cody Rhodes insane?  What was he thinking taking the punishment that he did on Dynamite this week?

I can’t speak to his mental state but looking at his back and his head after the match with Andrade ended, I wondered what the hell he was thinking, for sure.  I know some disagree but to me, fire has no place in wrestling.
