It;s Friday night, and it's AEW Rampage, taped after Wednesday Night Dynamite at the Gas South Arena in Duluth GA (and I guess when Tony Khan called it Atlanta in the arena he got booed). Our commentary team is Excalibur, Taz, and Ricky Starks since Jericho was beat up on Dynamite by 2.0 and has gone to Europe to recover.
Sammy Guevara (TNT Champion) vs Tony Nese
Sammy goes at Nese as Nese was preening to the crowd when the bell rang. Nese retaliates and goes after the taped ribs of Sammy. They run the ropes and Sammy ends it with a drop kick and Nese goes to the outside so that Sammy can hit a corkscrew tope over the top rope. They brawl at ringside with Sammy staying in control. They go into the ring, Sammy goes to the top and Nese sweeps his legs so that he lands on his ribs on the top. He then hits a gut buster on Sammy and covers for a two count.
He keeps up the attack on Sammy's ribs. Nese nails Sammy's ribs, guillotines him over the top rope. Nese comes in, hits a moonsault and covers again. Sammy now has an injured knee. Nese flexes and poses as Sammy struggles to get up. Nese tosses him to the corner, and keeps control with a kick. Nese locks on a leg body lock and tries to get Sammy to tap out as we go to picture in picture.
When they return to full screen, Nese has Sammy in a headlock and Sammy works to his feet and suplexes Nese to escape. Nese catches Sammy's roundhouse kick and sweeps the other leg to take him down and lock on a leg lock. Sammy kicks his way free and hits a series of clotheslines. Sammy gets a series of moves in corner, ended with a cutter out of the corner. He covers for a two count.
Sammy picks up Nese for the GHT, but his injuries keep him from getting all of it, and Nese is able to grab Sammy's leg and lock on a modified single leg crab. Nese his holding the injured leg and puts his knee into Sammy's injured ribs. Sammy reverses for a two count. Sammy is able to stop an attack by Nece and gets the Spanish Fly for a two count. Sammy gives a series of dismissive kicks to Nese's head, clotheslines Nece out of the ring. Sammy gets backward on the apron for a leaping moonsault onto Nece.
Sammy goes for a springboard from the top rope, but Nese shoves him back to fall on the floor. Nese recovers, gets into the ring and leaps onto Sammy with a Fosbury Flop onto the floor. Nese rolls Sammy into the ring and hits a 450 splash for a two count. Sammy struggles to his feet as Nece is slapping his head. Sammy then starts nailing Nese. Nese rolls up Sammy for a two, and then tosses him for a buckle bomb. Sammy is able to get up as Nece is running at him, nails a pump kick and then lifts Nese for the GTH. This time he hits it full force and covers for the three count.

In the back Christian Cage is with Jurassic Express. He explains that they have beaten the Elite and are ready for a title shot and they will be scouting the match tonight. He is confident in his guys and Trust Him, he will make sure they are the next champions. Cage uses the phrase Trust Me twice in his promo, so take that for what you will.
Jade Cargill vs Janai Kai
Thunder Rosa joins the commentary desk.
Janai Kai is already in the ring, so we know how this goes. Kai gimmick is “The Kick Demon”.
Sadly, she doesn't get a single kick in. Jade gets a pump kick, the Jaded, and the pin.
Your winner: Jade Cargill
Jade gives Janai another pump kick and Rosa leaves the booth and storms to the ring. Mark Sterling tries to stop her and is taken down. They brawl and are pulled apart by referees.
The Young Bucks and Adam Cole are in the back and he goes after Orange Cassidy verbally. The Bucks then say they should return to Dynamite and take on the Best Friends next week.
Eddie Kingston says that 2.0 should be congratulated for beating up Jericho, but he doesn't care, and he'll be teaching them a lesson for trying to keep this going, you reap what you saw.
We then get a run down of next week's Dynamite.
The next match was supposed to be a two out of three falls match, but since Rey Fenix isn't available, it will be a single fall match. Mark Henry explains that Pac has only one eye for the fight tonight. FTR is upset that they don't get to win the title tonight because Fenix punked out.
There's been enough talk. It's time for the main event.
Pac and Penta El Zero Miedo vs FTR
Back to bullet points, everyone:
Penta starts with Cash, and Penta is able to hit a spinning toe hold to drop on Cash's leg.
They run the ropes, and when Cash tries to roll past, Penta delivers a kick to Cash's midsection.
Pac tags in and FTR bails to confer with Tully Blanchard
Cash tags in Dax when they return and Pac takes him down with a headlock takeover and they follow by running the ropes.
Pac tosses Dax, then Cash, then Dac again.
Pac hits a back body drop and tags in Penta, who hits Dax with a drop kick and a two count.
Penta is dragged to FTR's corner and they start working him over.
Quick tags from FTR as the work Penta over.
Penta is able to escape and tags in Pac who works Dax over with kick and strikes as he comes off the ropes for more impact.
Pac tries to leap over the ropes, but trips due to his eye patch and FTR is able to work him over as we to to picture in picture.
I love how quick and sharp everything Pac does looks
When they are full screen again, Pac is fighting out of a cobra clutch and tosses Cash out of the ring.
Dax tosses him back in the ring and tags in.
Pac tries to get the tag but Dax stops him. Pac is able to escape, but Cash pulls Penta off the apron.
FTR gets a backbreaker elbow drop, but the ref realizes the illegal FTR member is in the ring pinning Pac.
Dax tags in and drops Pac on the top turnbuckle. They fight on the top, Dax is knocked down twice and Pac hits a shotgun dropkick from the top.
They struggle to tag their partners.
Pac hits a back bodydrop on Dax and tags in Penta, who cleans house
GREAT flurry of offense by Penta.
Penta hits a back stabber on Cash for a two count.
Cash is able to power slam Penta and tags in Dax for a leg drop and a two count
Pac recovers enough to stop a FTR double team and Penta hits a corkscrew code red for a two count
Pac is tagged in and they go for the fear factor combo, but Cash pulls Penta out fo the ring.
Pac hits a crossbody, but Dax rolls through for a two count.
Dax gets a tiger driver for a two count
Tully gets on the apron to get in the face of the ref.
Dax pics up Pac who floats over and shoves Dax at Tully, but Dax is able to put the brakes on
They meet in the middle of the ring and Dax accidentally knocks Pac into Tully, who falls off the apron.
Pac reverses Dax's bridge for a two count.
Penta and Cash fight on the floor.
Pac goes to the top and moonsaults onto FTR on the floor
Dax is in the ring saying his knee is injured, and Malakai Black runs to the ring, sprays the black mist into Pac's good eye.
Dax is able to roll up Pac for the three count and the win.
Your winners: FTR
FTR tears the mask off of Penta. Dax wears Penta's mask and Black attacks Pac's eyes in the middle of the ring. Black has blood on his hands and we are desperately out of time!
