WWE and Impact Wrestling Hall of Famer Jeff Jarrett was announced today as part of the new ownership of Minor League Baseball team The Springfield Sliders in Springfield, IL.
A press conference about the new ownership, including Jarrett, is currently ongoing:
During the press conference, Jarrett discussed his family's history in promoting and working in professional wrestling. There was a reference to the team name and branding changing prior to this May when the baseball season begins.
The team is a member of the Summer Baseball Development League, the United States Prospect League.
