On the second season of Peacock's Saved by the Bell reboot, which is now streaming, AC Slater (played by Mario Lopez) goes to therapy and mentions he has never been the same since the Undertaker retired when the therapist asked him to go a little deeper, Slater asks about Monday Night Raw. Cool little reference for Mario Lopez who has been very public about he and his family being WWE fans.
During the season finale, during the Knowledge Bowl a question was asked about who was the WWE "Ninth Wonder of the World" who wrestled intergender matches. Of course the answer is WWE Hall of Famer Joanie "Chyna" Laurer.
The new season opener also paid tribute to the late Dustin Diamond, who dabbled quite a bit in professional wrestling, by saying goodbye to his character Screech. Diamond passed away from lung cancer earlier this year. You can see the tribute below:
