New All Elite Wrestling signee Jay Lethal has been added to Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide’s multi-man main event for the vacant AAA Mega Championship at its Triplemanía Regia show on December 4 in the Monterrey Baseball Stadium, the company announced today.

Lethal is the third competitor confirmed for the bout, joining El Hijo del Vikingo and Samuray Del Sol. It remains to be seen how many wrestlers are added to the match, though a post on AAA’s Instagram account suggested it will be a five-way bout.
Lethal has never competed in AAA before, but did compete in The Crash Lucha Libre once last February teaming with Jonathan Gresham against Bandido and Dragon Lee. He sent a video message, posted on AAA’s social media channels, saying he has eyed the AAA Mega Championship since Texano Jr. won the title in 2010 (though Texano Jr. first won the title in 2012).
