NYWC RETURNS TO LONG ISLAND TONIGHT, FIRST-EVER ISPW & OUTLAW WRESTLING CHAMPIONS CROWNED, PWG IN LA TOMORROW AND MORE

By Mike Johnson on 2021-11-20 08:45:00

Homicide was crowned the first-ever Outlaw Wrestling Champion Thursday 11/18 in Ridgewood, NY.   In first round matches, Rich Swann defeated Encore Moore, Mercedes Martinez defeated Tina San Antonio, O'Shay Edwards defeated The Big Action and Homicide defeated Tommy Dreamer.   It was announced that Mike Verna had a family emergency and had to pull off of the event, so Dreamer substituted.  After the match, Orion Dove and Casanova Valentine attacked both men.  Casanova Valentine is a local who has wrestled and promoted hardcore shows in the area and worked for a lot of different promotions.  So, they flipped the script with him here as Dove announced that he is Casanova's new image consultant, thus he is now "Corporate Cas."  The two ran down hardcore wrestling and its fans until the Sandman attacked both men.  Sandman was booked as an underadvertised surprise.  He was supposed to be at the previous event as a surprise but had a last minute conflict.  In a four-way to crown the first champion, Homicide defeated O'Shay Edwards, Mercedes Martinez and Rich Swann.  Homicide made an impassioned speech after the match that was said to have been worth the price of admission alone.  Other matches on the show featured  Jaden Valo defeating Ray Jaz and Megan Bayne (who has really started to carve a nice name for herself in recent months) defeating JC Storm.  Outlaw Wrestling returns to Queens Brewery on Thursday 12/16 with Homicide defending the Outlaw Wrestling Championship for the first time vs. Rhino plus former WWE stars The Ascension appearing.
