WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair took to Twitter to respond to comments made by Becky Lynch earlier today on the MMA Hour with Ariel Helwani during a promotional appearance to push the 2021 Survivor Series PPV.
During her appearance, Lynch responded to an inital tweet from Ric, which read:
I Think I’m Going To Have To Make The Trip Personally To See You Beat The Piss Out Of @MsCharlotteWWE! I Don’t Think So Sister, The Man, Big Time Becks, Or Whatever You Call Yourself. There’s Not Enough Choreography In The Business To Save You @BeckyLynchWWE. ????????????

Speaking with Helwani, Lynch stated that she initially wrote a "biting" response but said she decided to let the comment from Ric come and go because she thought, "...it's really sad. This is a legend at one point, a sixteen time World Champion, and now, Ric Flair is jealous of me? And that's cool. It's cool for me and he's now trying to use me to get clout to promote whatever he has going on next, because he's dug himself into a hole with other things."
Lynch was obviously referring to the fallout of the Plane Ride from Hell episode of Dark Side of the Ring.
Flair returned to Twitter this evening, writing:
So Disappointed! I Did This Out Of Respect For You @BeckyLynchWWE! It Made You Millions & Made Me Nothing. After 40 Years Of Being The Man... The Company Doesn’t Own It, And Neither Do You! I’ll Always Be The Man! Ask Your Husband. pic.twitter.com/VjeyyMElG3
