WWN BATTLE OF THE BELTS 2021 REPORT: NINE TITLE MATCHES, NEW CHAMPIONS, AND MORE

Welcome to PWInsider.com’s coverage of WWN’s Battle of the Belts from the Orange County Choppers Road House in Clearwater, Florida.

Match Number One:  ACW Cruiserweight Championship Match:  Alex Todd versus Bobby Flaco

They shake hands before locking up and Flaco with a take down and rollup for a near fall.  Flaco goes to the floor and Todd follows.  Flaco kicks Todd away and hits an arm drag off the turnbuckles  Flaco sends Todd into the ropes and hits a splash to the back and goes to the floor.  Flaco with a cross body for a near fall.  Flaco with a forearm in the corner.  Todd with a running power bomb to Flaco and Flaco goes to the floor.  Todd chops Flaco on the floor.  Todd sends Flaco into the apron and then Irish whips him into the guardrails.  Todd with a Falcon Arrow for a near fall.  Todd kicks Flaco and goes to the turnbuckles but misses an elbow drop when Flaco moves.

Flaco with forearms to Todd and the referee warns Flaco.  Flaco with a clothesline in the corner and an X Factor off the turnbuckles.  Flaco with a flatliner for a near fall.  Flaco sets for a Tiger Driver but Toddd escapes.  Todd catches Flaco when Flac0o tries to float over.  Flaco with a tornado DDT for a near fall.  Todd goes to the floor and Flaco with a cross body off the turnbuckles.  Flaco sends Todd back into the ring and Flaco goes up top, but Todd with a forearm as Flaco comes off and Todd with a Go To Sleep for the three count.

Winner:  Alex Todd (new Champion)

It is time for Battle of the Belts to officially begin. 

Trevin Adams is in the ring to welcome everyone to the show.

Match Number One:  ACW Tag Team Championship: The Rapture (Jay Sky and Richard King) versus The Metro Brothers (JC Metro and Chris Metro)

The Rapture attack before the bell and Chris with a clothesline to Sky and then JC puts Sky in a Boston Crab.  King is sent into the guardrails.  Christ chokes King and then he gets a near fall.  Chris with a chop and suplex for a near fall.  JC tags in and Chris with a chop.  JC gets a near fall.  JC with a reverse chin lock.  JC sends King to the floor.  JC tries to convince the referee that Sky hit him but even though he didn't see anything, the referee says he heard it.  Chris tags in and he connects with a forearm to the back and he knocks Sky off the apron.  Chris with an elbow drop while the referee keeps Sky from getting involved.  JC tags in and he stomps on the midsection.

JC with a head butt and he punches King.  JC with kicks and he chokes King.  JC argues with the referee and Chris chokes King.  JC and Chris with a double back elbow for a near fall.  Chris kicks King in the midsection and then he connects with a punch.  JC tags in and he applies a front face lock.  King misses a round kick but hits a second one and both men are down.  Chris tags in and so does Sky.  Sky kicks JC off the apron and he connects with forearms to Chris.  Chris with a forearm but Sky with a take down.  Sky with a tornado DDT.  Sky with a kick and a Falcon Arrow for a near fall.  Sky with a running hip into the corner and King tags in.

Sky with a cross body into the corner and King with a kick.  Sky with a suplex and King goes up top for a frog splash while Sky hits a suicide dive onto JC.  King gets a near fall.  King with a forearm to Chris followed by a chop.  King with punches in the corner.  JC grabs King and Chris drops him on the turnbuckles.  Chris gets a near fall.  Vinny gets on the apron and he argues iwth the referee.  Chris has the title belt but the referee sees it.  The referee takes the belt so JC grabs the belt and King with a rollup for the three count.

Winners:  The Rapture (retain championship)

After the match, Francisco Ciatso comes to the ring to talk to the Metros but they don't include Vinny in their discussions.  The Metros leave with Ciatso and Vinny is still in the ring and he is not in a good mood.

Match Number Two:  SHINE Nova Championship Match: The W.O.A.D. versus Lexi Gomez

They lock up and WOAD with a break in the corner.  Gomez with a waist lock and WOAD uses her rear end to escape the hold.  WOAD blocks some arm drags.  WOAD with a forearm.  WOAD with a shoulder tackle and Gomez stays on her feet.  Gomez with a shoulder tackle and WOAD does not move.  They both go for shoulder tackles and WOAD goes to a knee.  WOAD with an Irish whip but Gomez gets a boot up and she kicks WOAD.  Gomez goes to the turnbuckles and Gomez with an Old School arm drag.  Gomez with a drop kick and she gets a near fall.   WOAD with a clothesline and she charges at Gomez but Gomez moves and WOAD goes to the floor.

Gomez goes to the apron and hits a cross body onto WOAD.  Gomez gets a near fall and then connects with a knee in the corner.  Gomez with an Irish whip and she runs into an elbow.  Gomez runs into WOAD's rear end.  WOAD with crossfaces.  WOAD with an Irish whip and she runs into a boot.  WOAD gets Gomez up and hits a buckle bomb.  WOAD gets a near fall.  WOAD with a forearm to the back.  WOAD tries to get Gomez on her shoulders but Gomez blocks it.  Both women go for back slides and WOAD uses her rear end to send Gomez into the ropes and WOAD with a splash to the back for a near fall.  WOAD with a leg drop.  WOAD with a splash for a near fall.  

WOAD misses an elbow drop when Gomez moves.  Gomez with kicks to WOAD and she misses a round kick.  WOAD with a leg sweep and a seated splash to the back.  WOAD with a camel clutch.  WOAD adds more pressure to the back and Gomez with elbows to try to get out of the hold.  Gomez with a jaw breaker to escape.  Gomez with a forearm. WOAD with a splash against the ropes.  Both women go for the hair and both go down.  Gomez with clotheslines but WOAD does not go down.  Gomez with a back elbow and WOAD blocks a kick.  Gomez with an enzuigiri.  Gomez with a POUNCE for a near fall.  Gomez with knees to the head and WOAD with a power bomb for a near fall.

WOAD runs into a boot in the corner.  Gomez goes to the turnbuckles.  WOAD sets for a power bomb but Gomez counters with a rana.  Gomez with a uranage for a near fall.  Gomez tries to get WOAD up but WOAD blocks it.  WOAD with a drop kick to the back.  WOAD with a running hip strike into the corner for the three count.

Winner:  W.O.A.D. (retains championship)

After the match, Ron Niemi interviews the W.O.A.D.  He asks what is next for W.O.A.D.  W.O.A.D. says Lexi put up a hell of a fight and she hopes to see her at Shine.  W.O.A.D. mentions Santana and she says if she thought the last beatdown was bad, you have another thing coming.

Match Number Three:  ACW Championship Match: August Artois versus Lucky Ali

Artois goes to the floor to get into Ali's head.  He talks some strategy with Sean Davis.  Artois wants the referee to keep Ali away from him.  Artois with forearms to the back.  Ali with an Irish whip and back body drop. Ali with a punch and European uppercut.  Ali goes for a slam but Artois escapes and he kicks and chops Artois. Ali gets a near fall.   Ali with a neck breaker but Artois sends Ali to the floor.  Artois with a baseball slide to Ali and Ali goes into the guardrails.  Artois with chops on the floor.  Artois thinks about sending Ali into the crowd but he is messing with the fans and he tosses Ali into the ring.  Ali with an inside cradle for a near fall.  Artois with a back drop suplex for a near fall.  

Artois with a kick and an arm bar.  Artois with a kick and Northern Lights suplex for a near fall.  Ali with a mule kick.  Ali with a shoulder tackle and both men are down.  Ali sends Artois over the top rope but Artois skins the cat.  Ali with a clothesline and both men are down.  Ali with punches.  Ali with a running forearm and a back elbow.  Ali with a torture rack attempt but Artois gets back to his feet and he punches Ali.  Artois with a snap mare and he misses a drop kick.  Ali goes for a Boston Crab and he decides to catapult Artois into the ropes instead.  Ali goes for a splash to the back but Artois moves and Ali goes to the floor.  Artois misses a baseball slide.  Ali uses Artois to knock Davis down on the floor and then he slams Artois on the floor.  Ali with a rollup but Davis distracts the referee and he misses Ali having Artois down for at least a three count but only makes the two count.

Artois with a rollup for the three count.

Winner:  August Artois (retains championship)

Ron Niemi congratulates August Artois but he brings up the circumstances of the victory.  Sean Davis says there was nothing wrong with the way Artois won.

Match Number Four:  FIP Florida Heritage Championship Match: Troy Hollywood (with Hunter Law and Snoop Strikes) versus Anthony Greene

Before the match, Anthony Greene wants Hollywood's music stopped.  He says he did not agree to this.  He agreed to a one-on-one match and there are three of you.  Did you think you couldn't do it on your own?  I am not getting in the ring until Hunter and Snoop leave the ring.  He asks if Troy is fighting champion or a chicken.  

Snoop and Hunter go to the back.

They lock up and Hollywood backs Greene into the corner and gives a clean break.  Greene goes to the floor.  Greene returns to the ring and Hollywood with an arm drag into an arm bar.  Greene with an Irish whip and Hollywood floats over and he gives Greene an arm drag into an arm bar.  Greene with a side head lock.  Greene with a shoulder tackle.  Hollywood with a drop kick and arm drag into an arm bar.  Greene misses an elbow drop when Hollywood moves.  Greene with a kick and punch.  Greene with another punch in the corner followed by a chop.  Greene misses a chop and Hollywood with a chop of his own.  Hollywood with another chop.  Hollywood with an Irish whip but he misses a knee in the corner and Greene pulls Hollywood to the mat.  Greene with a neck breaker for a near fall.  Greene with another punch.

Greene with a back elbow and he gets a near fall.  Greene chokes Hollywood and then kicks him.  Greene with a snap mare and reverse chin lock.  Hollywood with punches and Greene with a forearm to the back.  Greene with a chop.  Greene with an Irish whip and he misses a splash into the corner and he crotches himself in the turnbuckles.  Hollywood with a forearm and back elbow.  Greene with a kick and he tries for a suplex but Hollywood blocks it.  Greene blocks a suplex and gets a near fall with an inside cradle.  Hollywood with a gourdbuster for a near fall.   Hollywood goes for a sunset flip but Greene drops down for a near fall.  Hollywood with a springboard cutter for a near fall.  

Hollywood with a Yakuza Kick to Greene.  Hollywood puts Greene on the turnbuckles.  Hollywood sets for a superplex but Greene with forearms.  Greene sets for a sunset flip power bomb but Hollywood holds on to the ropes.  Greene with a super kick to the head and a power bomb for a near fall.  Greene with another power bomb for a near fall.  Greene sets for More Than Prettier but Hollywood blocks it.  Hollywood with a side head lock take down and a snap German suplex.  Greene with a clothesline and both men are down.  

Greene and Hollywood exchange punches and forearms.  Greene with a back elbow and Hollywood with a boot to the head.  Greene sets for More Than Prettier but Hollywood with a double knee gutbuster and then he applies the crossface.  Greene rolls through to get to the ropes and force a break.  Greene drops Hollywood on the top rope and misses the double jump cross body.  Hollywood misses a super kick and Greene sends Hollywood's foot into the referee.  Greene accidentally super kicks the referee when Hollywood moves.  Bryan Idol comes to the ring and Hollywood stops him.  Hollywood is attacked and given a package piledriver and Greene is put on top of Hollywood.  The referee recovers and makes the three count.

Winner:  Anthony Greene (new Champion)

It is time for intermission.

Sean Davis asks if you are ready for the crowning of a new FIP World Champion.  He says he does not care if Jon Davis is ready because his monster Karam is ready.  Sean wonders if Jon Davis is even here.  If Jon is not here in the next ten seconds, they need to declare a forfeit and give the belt to the new . . . 

Jon Davis whows up and Sean is shocked that Jon is here.  Jon isn't ready.

A masked man attacks Jon from behind with a bat.  

Sean denies that he knows anything about this.  Sean says that Jon is hurt and cannot wrestle.  There needs to be a forfeit and Karam needs to be handed the title.

Jon makes his way to the ring and Karam is met with a punch.  Jon chops Karam as they go around ringside.Jon with a forearm and he sends Karam into the ring.

Match Number Five:  FIP World Championship Match: Jon Davis versus Karam

The referee starts the match and Davis with a boot to the head and a forearm.  Davis with a head butt.  Karam with an Irish whip and Davis with a float over but his knee gives out.  Davis with a clothesline and he gets a near fall.  Karam kicks Davis in the leg.  Karam with a choke slam for a near fall.  Karam kicks Davis in the injured leg.  Davis with a running neck breaker and Karam goes to the floor.  Sean grabs Jon's leg as he tries to get into the ring.  Karam with a boot to the knee and a power bomb for the three count.

Winner:  Karam (new champion)

After the match Ron interviews the new champion and the masked man enters the ring.  Sean says finally he has the belt.  He says he is finally above the law.  He is finally the chamipon.

Sean interrupts Karam before he can speak and he says Karam will do what it takes to keep the title around his . . . Karam's waist.

We see that it is August Artois under the mask.

Match Number Six:  SHINE Tag Team Championship Match: DangerousLee (Kimber Lee and Stormie Lee) versus HEX (Marti Belle and Allysin Kay)

Kay and Belle attack Stormie and Kimber before the bell rings and they fight to the floor.  Kay sends Stormie into the guardrails while Belle sends Kimber into the ring and the match starts.  Kay and Belle kick and choke Kimber in the corner.  Kimber sends Belle into Kay and Stormie tags in.  Kay sends Stormie to the mat.  Kay kicks Stormie and sends her into the turnbuckles.  Kay with a chop and Belle tags in.  Belle with a forearm into the corner and then Belle with a hip to Stormie followed by a boot from Kay.  The referee keeps Kimber in the corner.  Stormie with a forearm to Belle and Belle fires back and then she chokes Stormie in the corner.  Kay tags in and kicks Stormie.

Belle tags in and kicks Stormie.  Kay tags in and kicks Stormie some more.  Kay sends Stormie into the turnbuckles and Belle chokes Stormie while the referee deals with Kimber.  Kay with a chop.  Kay with forearms and then she kicks Stormie.  Kay chokes Stormie in the corner.  Kay with a forearm to the back.  Kay with a short arm clothesline and Belle tags in.  Kay knocks Kimber down on the apron and Belle gets a near fall.  Belle chokes Stormie in the ropes and then she hits a splash to the back.  Kay chokes Stormie in the ropes while Belle talks to the referee.  Stormie with punches and Belle with a clothesline.  Belle with a seated splash to the back.

Kay tags in and she kicks Stormie in the leg.  Stormie with a kick to Kay but Kay kicks back and connects with forearms.  Kay with a snap mare and a reverse chin lock.  Kay with kicks to Stormie.  Kay pie faces Stormie.  Stormie with forearms.  Both women connect with boots and both go down.  Belle and Kimber tag in and Kimber with round kicks and a spinning back heel kick.  Kimber with a bicycle kick to Kay and she gets a near fall on Belle.  Kimber with a jaw breaker to Kay.  Kimber punches Belle.  Kimber goes to the turnbuckles and Stormie tags in.  Kimber with a swanton and Kay with a forearm to Stormie and a boot to Kimber.  

Belle iwth a forearm to Kimbger and Kay with a kick to Stormie and Belle with a Pedigree for the three count.

Winners:  The HEX (new champions)

After the match, Ron is with the new champions.  Marti says if you are paying attention, they do what they want whenever they want to whoever they want.  Kay says she would kiss the championship and she knows where it was and it needs to be disinfected.  

Match Number Seven:  FIP World Tag Team Championship Match: The Skulk (Adrian Alanis and Liam Gray) versus Island Kings (Jaka and Sean Maluta) versus OAO (Hunter Law and Snoop Strikes) versus NYC Crew (Steve Pena and Nino Cruz)

Jaka wants to start with Gray.  Jaka pushes Gray.  They lock up and Jaka backs Gray into the ropes and Jaka misses a chop and Gray with a side head lock and shoulder tackle.  Jaka has a thrust kick blocked but Jaka with a head butt.  Gray with an arm drag.  Jaka with a shoulder tackle.  Gray with a drop kick and he sends Jaka into the corner and is sent to the apron but Alanis tags in.  Alanis trips Jaka and Gray with a slingshot elbow.  Maluta kicks Gray in the back and Gray with a punch.  Alanis with a choke breaker to Jaka followed by a back breaker from Gray and he gets a near fall.  ]Jaka with a kick to Alanis and Maluta tags in and connects with forearms.

Alanis gets Maluta up but Maluta gets to his feet and hits a back heel kick and boot followed by a neck breaker for a near fall.  Maluta with a chop and head butt.  Maluta with a punch and Jaka tags back in.  Jaka gets Alanis up and Alanis sends Jaka into Maluta.  Gray with a cross body to Maluta and Jaka.  Gray with a leg lariat to Maluta and Alanis sends Maluta onto Jaka for a near fall.  Pena tags in and he kicks and punches Alanis.  Alanis punches Cruz.  Cruz tags in and he hits a slingshot blockbuster for a near fall.  Snoop tasg in and he hits a drop kick on Cruz.  Cruz sends Snoop into the corner and Pena tags in and hits an elbow.  Cruz with a cannonball.  Pena with a back drop to Snoop.  Law tags in and he punches Pena.  Pena and Law exchange chops.  Pena with an enzuigiri.  Law with a drop toe hold and a rollup for a near fall.  

Snoop tags in and he hits a crucifix bomb after Law super kicks Pena.  Maluta and Jaka go after Law and Snoop.  Jaka with a head butt to Snoop and Snoop and Law with kicks and enzuigiris to Maluta and Jaka.  Snoop knocks Cruz off the apron.  Alanis and Gray enter the ring as OAO and the Skulk face off.  They exchange punches.  Law and Snoop with elbows but Alanis and Gray with elbows.  Alanis goes over the top rope when Snoop drops down.  Snoop with a kick to Gray.  Snoop with a flip dive onto Maluta and Jaka.  Gray with a plancha onto Cruz, Pena, Law, and Maluta.  Snoop and Gray with clotheslines to each other and they go down.

Cruz and Maluta tag in and Maluta with a super kick to Cruz.  Maluta gets a near fall.  Maluta with Kawada kicks to Cruz.  Pena with a bicycle kick to Maluta.  Maluta with a super kick to Pena followed by a Codebreaker.  Jaka with a double sledge to Cruz followed by a suplex.  Jaka and Maluta with a lungblower and Samoan drop combination for the three count.

Winners:  The Island Kings (new Champions)

Ron is with the new champions in the ring,b ut the Skulk want to get a piece of the new champions.

Match Numbet Eight:  SHINE Championship Match: Ivelisse versus Natalia Markova

Ivelisse with a kick to the leg.  Markova with a kick to the leg.  Ivelisse with a punch to Markova and Markova punches back.  Ivelisse with knees and Markova with a hammer lock.  Ivelisse with a front face lock and she gets a near fall.  Markova with a double wrist lock but Ivelisse with a hammer lock and she gets a near fall.  Ivelisse with another near fall.  Ivelisse with a third near fall.  Markova with a head scissors and Ivelisse tries to bridge to escape.  Ivelisse escapes and applies a side head lock.  Markova gets a near fall.  Ivelisse with a side head lock.  Markova gets a near fall with a rollup.  Markova with a waist lock and Ivelisse with a punch.  Markova with a chop.

Ivelisse with a chop and they go back and forth.  Markova with an Irish whip and an elbow into the corner.  Markova with another elbow in the corner followed by a knee and spinning heel kick.  Markova with slingblade for a near fall.  Ivelisse with a thrust kick and she sends Markova into the turnbuckles.  Ivelisse kicks Markova into the turnbuckles.  Ivelisse with a knee to the temple for a near fall.  Ivelisse with forearms and the referee warns Ivelisse.  Ivelisse with kicks to the chest.  Ivelisse misses some kicks but connects with one and gets a near fall.  Ivelisse with a guillotine.  Markova backs Ivelisse into the corner and Ivelisse with forearms.  Markova with a sleeper and body scissors.

Ivelisse gets to the ropes to force a break.  Ivelisse kicks Markova to the floor.  Markova beats the count back into the ring and Ivelisse with forearms and a kick to the ribs.  Ivelisse with a kick to the back.  Ivelisse with a sleeper and body scissors on Markova.  Markova gets to her feet and escapes the sleeper.  Markova with a forearm.  Ivelisse with a forearm.  They go back and forth.  Ivelisse with an elbow and forearms.  Markova with forearms to Ivelisse.  They continue the exchange.  Both women with knees and both go down.  Markova with a clothesline or two.  Markova with a kick but she misses a spinning heel kick into the corner.  Markova with a drop kick.

Markova with a spinning X Factor for a near fall.  Markova goes for a suplex but Ivelisse blocks it.  Ivelisse with a knee to the mdisection.  Ivelisse with a Playmaker for a near fall.  Ivelisse with kicks and Markova backs off.  Ivelisse misses a splash into the corner and Markova with a spinning heel kick in the corner for a near fall.  Ivelisse with a rolling mare and kickto the head for a near fall.  Ivelisse with forearms in the corner.  Markova sends Ivelisse into the turnbuckles and then puts her on the turnbuckles.  Markova with a forearm to the back and Markova tries for a German superplex but Ivellise blocks it and Markova is knocked to the mat.  Markova with a forearm to the back.

Markova with a belly-to-back suplex for a near fall.  Ivelisse with a head butt and knees followed by forearms.  Ivelisse goes for Code Red but Markova blocks it and drops down for a near fall.  Markova with a side Russian leg sweep and rollup for a near fal.  Markova with a punch and Ivelisse with a boot and take down.  Markova with a thrust kick and double underhook DDT for the three count.

Winner:  Natalia Markova (new champion)

After the match, Ivelisse kicks the referee when he tries to give the title belt to Markova.  

Ivelisse gives Markova the title belt.
