NJPW STRONG REPORT: SUZUKI VERSUS DICKINSON, YEHI VERSUS WHITE, AND MORE

Chris Dickinson talks about watching Minoru Suzuki since he was a kid. He says this is a dream match he wanted and it was taken away. It is on the biggest stage possible, in a New Japan ring. He is tenured and experienced, but this is a chance to prove to the office and Minoru Suzuki that he belongs here and that he can beat Minoru Suzuki. Do you think I care about what you have accomplished? I am going to f*** you up.

Your announcers are Matt Rehwoldt and Alex Koslov (in English) and Shigeki Kiyono, Hiroshi Tanahashi, and Katsuyori Shibata. (in Japanese)

Match Number One: Ariya Daivari versus Alex Zayne

They lock up and they go ininto the coner. Daivari with a clean break. They lock up and Daivari with a wrist lock and snap mare and knee drop to the arm. Daivari holds on to the wrist lock. Zayne with an arm wringer. They lock up and Daivari with forearms to the back and ahe tries for a belly-to-back suplex but Zayne lands on his feet and applies a side head lock. Zayne with an ankle pick and a springboard splash for a near fall.

Zayne with a reverse chin lock into a side head lock. Zayne holds on when Daivari tries to send him off the ropes. Daivari wtih a knee to the midsection followed by a back heel kick and a drop kick to the temple. Daivari puts Zayne in the ropes and chops him. Daivari with a back heel kick and a leg drop off the ropes. Daivari sends Zayne into the turnbuckles and then Daivari with chops and forearms.

Daivari with a snap mare and he traps the arms. Zayne gets back to his feet and Daivari with a reverse DDT for a near fall. Daivari with a chin lock but Zayne escapes and tries for a back slide. Daivari blocks it and tries for a bac slide of his own. Both men with clotheslines at the same time.

Zayne with punches and a drop kick. Zayne with forearms and a back elbow followed by a leg sweep. Zayne with a somersault leg drop. Zayne with a chop in the corner and he puts Daivari on the turnbuckles. Zayne runs into a boot and Daviari with a chop. They go back and forth. Daivari with a neck breaker and a hammer lock DDT for a near fall. Daivari misses a hammer lock clothesline and Zayne with an enzuigiri. Daivari goes to the floor and Zayne with Moonsauce. They return to the ring and Daivari kicks Zayne away. Zayne with a jumping Frankensteiner followed by a side slam for a near fall. Daivari with elbows and a super kick. Daivari with a hammer lock clothesline and then he gets his Persian rug and misses the Flying Carpet Splash. Zayne with a wrist clutch half straitjacket bomb for the three count.

Winner: Alex Zayne

After the match, Zayne offers his hand to Daivari. Daivari shakes it.

Ariya Daivari says his debut didn’t go how he wanted it to go. Alex Zayne is a hell of a competitor. There was something that was on my mind and distracted me. When I came into the locker room, everyone was staring at me. It is because I came from ‘Over There’ and where I worked. I was known for breaking the rules and using underhanded tactics. I was a product of my environment.

When you work somewhere that is the Wild Wild West and they don’t take wrestling seriously, that is the kind of s*** that happens to you. They don’t do that in New Japan. I want to change and prove that I can change. It won’t happen overnight, but that change can happen here.

Match Number Two: Fred Rosser and Rocky Romero versus Tom Lawlor and Danny Limelight

Romero and Limelight start things off. They lock up and Limelight with a slap when the referee tries to separate them. Romero with a punch and he goes for a cross arm breaker but Limelight escapes and Lawlor pulls him to the floor. Romero with a kick and forearm. Limelight with a forearm. Romero with kicks in the ropes and a springboard drop kick. Romero with kicks to the back and a chop. Lawlor with a knee to the back and Limelight with a forearm. Lawlor tags in and he runs Romero into the corner and follows with a snap mare. Limelight with a running kick and Lawlor gets a near fall. Lawlor with a hammer lock. Romero backs Lawlor into the ropes and connects with forearms. Lawlor with a kick to the leg. Lawlor with a boot to the midsection. Lawlor with an ankle lock with the legs in a figure four. Limelight tags in and kicks the leg and drop a knee on the leg.

Lawlor tags in and he kicks Romero in the ribs. Lawlor with a drop toe hold and a figure four with the legs and he drops back to the mat. Romero gets to the ropes. Limelight tags in and Lawlor with a slam. Limelight with a slingshot senton. Lawlor tags in and he teases a slingshot move but he flips off the crowd and then he kicks Romero. Lawlor with forearms and an Irish whip. Limelight with a knee into the corner and a bulldog with Lawlor kicking Romero in the knee.

Limelight grabs Rosser’s leg and then Rosser comes ina nd punches Lawlor. Limelight with forearms to Rosser and then he chokes Rosser. Lawlor and Limelight pose. Lawlor with kicks and forearms to Romero. Lawlor with a suplex and punches. Lawlor with more punches and Romero with an inside cradle. Lawlor with a Calf Killer but Romero counters into a cros arm breaker. Limelight kicks Romero and Lawlor with a knee bar. Rosser with a seated splash and then he goes back to the apron. Romero misses an enzuigiri but hits a mule kick. Rosser and Limelight tag in and Rosser with a back body drop. Rosser with chops and clotheslines in the corner. Rosser with a clothesline to the chest and back. Rosser with a rolling elbow. Rosser with an Irish whip but Limelight floats over. Rosser with a punch to Limelight and then to Lawlor on the apron. Rosser blocks a Frankensteiner attempt and then he crotches Limelight. Rosser goes for Splash Mountain but Limelight counters with a sunset flip for a near fall.

Limelight has a kick blocked and Rosser gets Limelight up but Lawlor makes the tag. Lawlor with a kick to Rosser to get him to release Limelight. Rosser gets Lawlor up and he uses Lawlor to take care of Limelight. Romero with a shiranui to Limelight and follows with a suicide dive. Rosser with a double knee gutbuster and a drop kick to the head. Rosser gets a near fall. Lawlor with a hot shot and rear naked choke. Rossesr falls back to the mat and gets the three count.

Winners: Fred Rosser and Rocky Romero

After the match, Lawlor is in shock that he lost. Lawlor attacks Rosse and punches him. Limelight joins in and they kick Rosser in the corner. Limelight goes under the ring while Lawlor chokes Rooser. Limelight pulls out a case and Limelight gets son scissors and hands them to Lawlor.

Romero kicks Lawlor and goes after Limelight.
JR Kratos, Royce Isaacs, and Jorel Nelson hit the ring and they go after Romero and Rosser. Lawlor chokes out Rosser while Romero is down on the other side of the ring. Limelight gives Lawlor the scissors and he cuts Rosser’s hair.

Match Number Three: Jay White versus Fred Yehi in a Non Title Match

The bell rings and White goes to the apron to listen to the crowd. Yehi with a waist lock and take down followed by a kick. Yehi with a drop toe hold into a Koji Clutch but White gets to the ropes and goes to the floor. White with a kick and forearm followed by kicks in the corner. White chokes Yehi in the corner and he chops Yehi. Yehi with a chop and he sends White to the mat and misses with a chop.

Yehi puts his hands behind his back for White to hit him and White chops him. White does it again. Yehi slaps White and tells him to hit him again. White slaps Yehi. White puts his hands behind his back but White with a kick and forearm followed by a rake of the eyes. White kicks Yehi and they go to the floor. White sends Yehi into the guardrails and apron. Yehi with an arm wringer and wrist lock. Yehi with an arm wringer into the mat.

White suplexes Yehi over the top rope to the floor. White sends Yehi back into the ring and hits a belly-to-back suplex for a near fall. White with a knee to the back. White with a chop. Yehi with a kick and chop. White clips Yehi and he gets a near fall. White with a rear chin lock. White with a forearm and chops. White puts his hands behind his back and he tries to kick Yehi but Fred blocks it. White with an Irish whip and chop but Fred stays on his feet and hits an exploder.

Yehi with a chop and knees in the corner. Yehi goes for a suplex but White blocks it. Yehi with a snap mare and drop kick to the head. Yehi goes for a suplex but White lands on his feet. Yehi with a chop and abdominal stretch. White with a rake of the eyes to escape the hold. White goes to the apron. White drops Yehi on the top rope and hits a DDT. White with an uppercut into the corner followed by a swinging suplex for a near fall. Whites goes for a uranage but Yehi blocks it. Yehi with a spinning bck fist and a rear naked choke. White with elbow and a single leg trip. Yehi with a sleeper and White leans back to get a near fall.

Yehi with a brainbuster for a near fall. Yehi with a Koji Clutch. Yehi with forearms to stop White from getting to the rope but it does not prevent White. Yehi with a boot to the back. Yehi with a chop and kick. White with a sleeper suplex and then he sets up for Blade Runner and hits it for the three count.

Winner: Jay White

After the match, Jay White takes the mic.

White welcomes everyone to the US of Jay. He says he does not know how many people were here, but he has come a long way from 2016 and facing Jay Briscoe. He says if they wrestle again, it won’t be a draw and it will be light work for him. For the last few months, I have been on the US of Jay tour. I have wrestled people from companies like Impact, AEW, and Ring of Honor. I have wrestled Wheeler Yuta, Danny Garcia, and tonight I wrestled Fred. You were in the ring with me and they are chanting your name even though I kicked your ass. When you step in the ring with me, your stock goes up. I am opening the door and I am going to make an open invitation to anybody from any company. Anybody from any company to come in and take their luck against the Best in the World. Come and try your luck against Jay White. The man who single handedly sold out Madison Square Garden. I am the first grand slam champion. He says that makes him the REAL belt collector. Before anybody else steps in this ring against me, there is one thing I have to take care of first. It is one thing I have to deal with before I can move on. The same puppy nipping at his heels. Before we open any doors, one thing I have to take care of. Battle in the Valley, I will face Tomohiro Ishii for the Never Openweight Championship.

Ishii, it’s f***ing on.

Match Number Four: Chris Dickinson versus Minoru Suzuki

Dickinson goes for the leg but Suzuki with a wrist lock. Dickinson gets a near fall while holding on to a double wrist lock. Dickinson with a knee bar and Suzuki says something to Dickinson. Dickinson stays with the knee bar. Dickinson gets a near fall. Dickinson with a front face lock. Dickinson with a side head lock. Suzuki with a single leg take down into a heel hook. Dickinson kicks Suzuki and Suzuki releases the hold. They have a test of strength and Suzuki with a hammer lock. Dickinson with a body scissors. Suzuki with a double wrist lock.

Suzuki gets a near fall. Dickinson tries for a chop in the corner but the referee stops him. Suzuki with a kick and chop. Dickinson with a chop. They continue with the chop exchange. Dickinson holds his hands behind his back for Suzuki to chop him. Suzuki puts his hands behind his back for Dickinson to chop him. Dickinson with chops and a back fist in the corner. Dickinson with a clothesline in the corner.

Suzuki blocks a chop and applies a triangle in the ropes. Dickinson blocks a kick and he takes Suzuki down. Suzuki with a kick and Dickinson goes to the floor. Suzuki looks under the ring but cannot find anything. Suzuki kicks Dickinson and Dickinson chops back. Suzuki with a knee and forearm. Suzuki fins a chair but the referee takes it from him. Suzuki with punches and knees. Suzuki sends Dickinson into the ring post shoulder first. Suzuki returns to the ring.

Suzuki stops the referee from continuing the count. Suzuki with elbows and a snap mare. Suzuki with a rear chin lock. Suzuki with a wrist lock and a hammer lock on the other arm. Suzuki works on the fingers and turns it into a double wrist lock. Dickinson gets to the ropes.

Suzuki with an elbow to the arm and a kick to the arm. Suzuki with an arm bar and elbows to the arm. Dickinson with a German suplex. Dickinson with a dragon screw leg whip and drop kicks to the knee. Dickinson with an STF. Suzuki gets to the ropes to force a break. Dickinson with another drop kick to the knee and then he grabs the leg. Dickinson with an elbow to the knee but Suzuki blocks the dragon screw. Suzuki with a cross arm breaker. Dickinson blocks the hold by clasping his hands. Suzuki with a snap mare and running kick to the chest. Dickinson laughs at the kick and he tells Suzuki to do it again. Dickinson is not impressed with the second effort so Suzuki with three more kicks. Dickinson blocks a kick and he chops Suzuki.

They exchange chops and it continues for a while. Dickinson with a take down but Suzuki avoids the STF. Dickinson with a brainbuster for a near fall. Dickinson with kicks to the leg and he misses a round kick. Suzuki with a sleeper but Dickinson with a snap mare to escape. Suzuki returns to the sleeper. Suzuki with a side head lock and then he goes back to the sleeper. Dickinson continues to fail to get out of the hold. Suzuki with forearms. Dickinson with a kick. Suzuki with a forearm and strikes. Suzuki with a sleeper into a Gotch piledriver for the three count.

Winner: Minoru Suzuki

After the match, Suzuki gets on the mic. Suzuki calls out Jon Moxley and Eddie Kingston and tells them F*** You.
