AEW DARK results from Minneapolis at the Target Center:
Powerhouse Hobbs (w/ Hook) defeated Jayson Strife via the Torture rack. HUGE chant of Hobbs is gonna kill you
Andrade El Idolo (w/ Jose) defeated Jahcee via his arm bag finisher. Big pop for Andrade, crowd was on their feet for the first time of the night.
Shawn Spears and Wardlow (w/ Tully Blanchard) defeated Arik Cannon and Renny D. Wardlow got the pin after multiple power bombs on Renny D. Arik Cannon is a local hero in the wrestling community, and even had signs in the crowd.
Ruby Soho defeated Hyan with a pin after an enziguiri. Big pop for Ruby as well. Hyan is from Revolution Pro in England, but here she just took the loss.
Too Fast Too Fuego defeated Brandon Gore (from Steel Domain Wrestling) and someone whose name I did not get (might have been Miles Plonk also from Steel Domain) with a spike DDT.
The Acclaimed defeated Alan Angels and Colt Cabana after using the boom box. Acclaimed were getting cheers until Max Caster said Prince was overrated. Way to get nuclear heat in Minneapolis, Max. Colt is beloved here and got lots of love from the crowd.
Riho, Kris Statlander and Ryo Mizunami defeated Nyla Rose, Emi Sakura and The Bunny with Statlander hitting a tombstone. The heel team had three different managers at ringside, and the match was hard to follow. Crowd was huge for Statlander and Riho, and everyone else didn't get much reaction.
The Variety Blonds and Lee Johnson & Brock Anderson (w/ Arn Anderson) defeated Aaron Solow, Nick Comoroto, JD Drake and Ryan Nemeth (w/ QT Marshall) with Lee getting a pin after a frog splash. Crowd was into this one and cheered the most for Brock and Pillman.
John Silver defeated Peter Avalon via a airplane spin into a toss for the pin. LOTS of fun in this match, John Silver is big, and Peter Avalon was able to get the crowd to hate him so that Silver's comebacks were cheered harder each time.
Sonny Kiss defeated Adam Grace via a cutter into the splits. Short match, not much reaction.
Dark Order's 10 defeated Mikey Wild via a full nelson
Scorpio Sky defeated Craven Knyte (current Steel Domain Wrestling champion and a hell of a great guy) via a cutter
Short match, crowd was starting to come back during it. I will imagine they will shift the matches around since Dark ended with not much enthusiasm from the crowd compared to earlier matches.
