It is Friday, and we are in St Louis at the Chavitz Arena. Our announce team is Excalibur, Taz, and Ricky Starks.
Bryan Danielson vs Anthony Bowens
The story is that The Acclaimed have said that Tony Khan is a bad boss, so he put Bowens in a match with Danielson. Max Caster raps insults at Danielson on their way to the ring.
Bowens is able to take down Danielson with an arm drag twice. They trade arm bars and Bowens gets a roll up for a two count. When they hit the ropes, Bowens is able to win the exchange with a shoulder block, but Danielson is able to take over with an arm bar. He then starts working over Bowens in the corner. Danielson is able to get an arm bar on the mat and Bowens gets to the ropes.
They go outside the ring and then to the small screen for Danielson to be double teamed on the floor.
When they return to full screen, Danielson has been beat down on the mat through the last commercial. Danielson is able to get uppercuts, but Bowens fights back after Danielson comes off the ropes. Danielson is able to take him down and then hits the Yes kicks and covers for a two count. Danielson misses a running kick in the corner and Bowens hits The Arrival and covers for a two count.
Crowd is loud for Danielson as he runs the ropes, hits a kick on Caster outside the screen, drops Bowens over the top rope and then flies over the top onto the both of them. Bowens is tossed back into the ring, and Danielson stomps him down. He slaps on the Labell lock and Bowens has to tap out.
Your winner: Bryan Danielson
We get an interview in the back when Tony Schiavone asked FTR, MJF and Andrade about the match with Cody Rhodes. MJF and FTR says that Cody SUCKED. MJF says Andrade gets FTR for two weeks for some Dinero. An envelope is passed and FTR mocks PAC for not being there last week.
CM Punk's music hits and he is on his way to the ring.
He has drama and a beef to settle with Eddie Kingston in His ring. Eddie's music hits and he doesn't come out. Punk starts talking about how maybe he needs to talk more so Kingston can interrupt him, and Kingston comes without music from the back.
Kingston says that Punk wants an apology, and Punk says he did because He interrupted him. Kingston mocks Punk and then says he will apologize. He apologized he was home sick on Wednesday. He apologizes to the fans and then yells at Punk, Who are you?
He then says he will tell everyone the truth about who Punk is. He was once a hero of his and names ROH originals. They inspired him, and then calls Punk a two faced scumbag and Kingston says Punk judged him. He didn't kiss ass, he didn't bury other guys to get over. Punk says Kingston is laying a bunch of stuff on him. He then says everyone in the business judged him. He says it's a hard pill to swallow but they judged him against their expectations on him, and he fell short. Punk says he was wrong to expect greatness because Kingston is a bum.
Wow.
Kingston asks if a bum would main event Full Gear? Eddie says that no one wants him here, and the locker room is scared to tell him, but he's not. Eddie says he's getting a little mad, so why doesn't he fight him at Full Gear.
Punk says he didn't expect to leave St Louis without facing him, but he thought it would be on Elevation or Dark.
They go face to face.
Punk asks the crowd if they want to see them fight at Full Gear, and the crowd cheers. Eddie says he doesn't care about winning or losing, he just wants to beat him up, and then he should quit again.
Punk pops him and they all pulled apart by referees running out from the back. We then get coaches and security.
Punk came off as the heel in this one, and it worked perfectly. A great in ring segment.
In the back, Tony is with Jurassic Express and Christian Cage. He says he heard The Elite calling themselves tough guys, but he doesn't see it. They throw out the challenge for a Falls Count Anywhere at Full Gear.
Bunny vs Red Velvet (TBS Tournament match)
Red attacks Bunny as she comes into the ring. Bunny rolls to the outside to slow Red down, but Red nails her with a clothesline on the floor. Jade Cargill is in the front row talking trash. Bunny kicks Red into the steel steps. Bunny tosses Red into the ring and hits a drop kick in a corner and gets a one count.
Red works her way up and they throw hands in the middle of the ring and Red wins the exchange. She hits a stunner on Bunny and covers for a two count. Bunny avoids Red's kicks and rolls her up for a two count with a handful of tights. Bunny hits a Death Valley Driver and gets a two count.
Red then slaps on an arm bar, hits the Final Slice and covers Bunny for a three count.
Your winner and advancing in the tournament: Red Velvet
Red motions at Jade Cargill to step into the ring.
Decent quick match that set up for the next match, feeding off of Red Velvet and Jade Cargill's history.
We have our interview segment with John Silver and Adam Cole where Mark Henry explains the whole Budge thing from Wednesday. It was a bit on Being the Elite where Silver said Cole could be his manager if he cut his hair and changed his name to Budge. Silver talks about how Cole is injured and last week he beat him dressed as Bambi. Cole says he was thrown off a steel cage and wrestled the next day, so he is good to go.
We get a rundown of Dynamite's card. Ricky Romero will be facing Bryan Danielson! I'm looking forward to that. They then run down the card so far for Full Gear news Saturday.
Adam Cole W/The Young Bucks vs John Silver w/Dark Order
The crowd is chanting Budge, so I am obviously out of the loop.
Silver mocks Cole's ring entrance and Cole attacks, but he's a bit off due to the attack on Wednesday. The crowd is loud for Johnny Hungy. Silver tosses Cole into the ropes and then starts tossing him around the ring. The announcers put over Cole having vertigo. They go out of the ring and when Silver comes in, Cole kicks him in the head and then flips Silver over him on the apron. On the floor, Cole locks in the camel clutch, takes the kisses from the Bucks and then keeps beating Silver down on the small screen during commercials.
When they are full screen again, Silver starts fighting his way free. Silver starts hitting a series of kicks and strikes, and follows with a back body drop. Silver hits a Hurricanrana into a Liger Bomb and a two count. They trade elbows in the middle of the ring. Silver hits a series of slaps, an insigiri and Cole answers with a series of kicks, a shoulder breaker and a two count.
Cole isn't able to follow up and when he does run at Silver, Silver nails a lariat and a snap German suplex, a kick to the side of the head and a pin, and Matt Jackson puts Cole's foot on the ropes. Dark Order members urn to the ring to stop any further interference. Cole goes for the low blow, but Silver remembers what they did last week and catches Cole's hand. He then nails Cole with a low blow, and a spinning power bomb, which grabs the ref's attention, so he turns around to count the two count.
Both men struggle to get up. Silver is up first and Cole has crawled to the corner to get up. They go to the top and Cole knocks him off the top, tried for the Panama Sunrise, but Silver catches him. Silver slams him in the corner and then runs into a superkick. Cole hits the Boom and covers Silver for the three count.
Your winner: Adam Cole
Great match, lots of action, Cole did a good job of making it feel like it was in doubt, and Silver's strength is just amazing in matches like this.
