We return to the White Eagle on this chilly Worcester evening. Tonight, we welcome home Hot Sauce Tracy Williams, who has a date with Matt Makowski. Rich Palladino is your announcer. Paul Crockett and Sidney Bakabella are behind the commentary table tonight. But of course we have to warm up this evening’s crowd with our weekly Spotlight Match!
Spotlight Match: “Russian Dynamite” Masha Slamovich vs “Not America’s Sweetheart” Davienne
These two hot heads get to jawing at the bell. Masha and Davienne trade rapid punches to the delight of the crowd. Masha misses a yakuza kick and Davienne turns it into a legdrop. Cool spot. Suplex into the ropes and a two count. Davienne with corner chops and a headlock takedown. Kick out! Masha firing back with a series of kicks. Davienne gets hung up in the ropes, eats a boot to the face and a stiff lariat for two. Davienne hits a superkick and dropping bombs on Masha but can’t get the pin off it. Crowd is in Davienne’s head with the Masha chants. Davienne chopping the chest more and Masha firing up through it and drops her with a spinning back fist. Masha with a dropkick and high knee in the corner. Yakuza kick finds its mark and Masha hits a spinning leg lariat for two. Shining wizard? Kick out! Davienne powers out of piledriver to hit an air raid crash for a close two. Masha pulls up to her feet, hitting a spinning back kick and hits the package piledriver for the three! Masha offers a handshake but Davy don’t want it. She has a bird for Masha though. Crowd was hot for this one. Good energy to pick us up for the start.

Match 1: “The Punjabi Lion” Jora Johl vs “The Professional” Rhett Titus
Titus wants that honorable handshake before the lockup. They grapple around the ropes, Rhett takes the break and complains that his hair got pulled. Rhett escapes a head scissor but climbs up into a headlock and Jora gets him up for a suplex. Titus escapes the plex and hits a headlock takeover and tries to grind the Lion out. Jora back with a rana and Michanoku driver but he gets trapped in a head triangle. Jora switches the hold but Rhett with a fireman’s carry takedown. Jora gets whipped and almost secures a backslide. Titus with a suplex and stomping Johl out. Jora powers to his feet and throwing forearm bombs to the head. Rhett with a belly to belly suplex and Jora out at two. Titus can’t get Jora into the buckles and Johl fires up and rams him around the ring. Titus back again with a suplex for two. Titus wraps up a head scissor but Johl goes out the back door to throw hands. Titus getting the better of him in the standup but a loud chop awakens the Lion. Johl with Lara oats and a snap powerslam. Headbutt sand flying knee crumbles Titus. Jora with a double underhook backbreaker for two! Titus escapes a powerbomb, knocks Jora back and dives…into a bear hug….and Johl throws him back, headfirst into the bottom buckle. Oh jeez! Titus kicks out but eats a buckle bomb. Jora dodges a dropkick KO, slingshots Titus into the corner and hits a spear! It’s over? Titus gets the rope! Johl is bleeding from the nose. Titus throws that dropkick again and it connects hard! Johl gets his leg on the rope but Titus pulls the leg off before the ref sees it and gets the pinfall. This was super back and forth, lot of fun.

Match 2: “Megasus” Megan Bayne vs “Reel Catch” Ashley Vox
The crowd loves Vox and Bayne scoffs at us for it. Vox going fast to start but fails when she tries to overpower Megasus. Bayne tries to bomb her but gets rana’d down. Vox with a suicide dive to the outside and dives again into the waiting arms of Bayne. Megan with a fallaway slam and vertical slam to the boos of the crowd. Shoulder thrusts to the small of the back and Vox gets whipped corner to corner. Vox catches a kick but gets belly to belly suplexed for her offense to the goddess. Vox rolls away from a splash, hitting a headbutt and series of chops. Tilt a whirl DDT! Bayne kicks out! Vox goes for the fishhook but Bayne picks her up, hits a backbreaker and tombstone for the pin. Vox got a lot in here but Bayne is just unstoppable. She takes some post match shots at Bayne before Masha Slamovich runs out to make the save. Good match.

Match 3: Waves & Curls(Traevon Jordan & Jaelyn Brandyn)(c) vs The Prestigious (BRG & Mac Daniels) (Discovery Gauntlet Week 5)
BRG comes in confident but Jaelyn sends him back to the corner with a dropkick. Jordan in with Mac and ties him up before hitting a big boot. W&C serving up knees, atomic drops and flying clotheslines before Jaelyn flies to the outside at them. Jaelyn tries to come off the top but BRG pushes him off into a backbreaker from Mac. Prestigious getting overconfident at their first advantage of the contest. Jaelyn almost with a sunset flip but Prestigious holds the rope and BRG drops a forearm to the face. Mac with another backbreaker and Jaelyn kicks out. BRG with a series of running forearms and a short arm clothesline for a near fall. BRG tries to cheat the sunset flip again but Jaelyn is ready. He scoots under BRG, gets the tag to Jordan and it’s time to clean house. Huge slams from Traevon but BRG kicks out. Traevon tries a suplex, Mac pulls the leg and BRG almost steals the pin! Jaylyn breaks up another pin attempt, the Prestigious send him flying. Jaelyn back to the top after throwing BRG off. Mac catches him but Jaelyn slips it. Traevon gets the choke and they hit the Wave Check for the win! Loved how much Prestigious gave them tonight. Good contest with a few real nailbiter false finishes. Waves & Curls give the most emotional impassioned post-match promo I’ve seen in a LONG time. I can’t do it justice in a recap, just watch this back. Didn’t expect to have a tear in my eye tonight.

Match 4: “The Prize” Alex Price vs SLADE (No DQ)
The crowd is whipped into hatred by the Prize City Hooligan but his reckoning is coming through the curtain. Price tries to hide behind the ref and refuses to compete in a No DQ match. The crowd jeers him and he says “f*** it” before blasting SLADE with the mic. That doesn’t last as SLADE slams him to the mat. SLADE goes through him with clotheslines and throws him across the ring repeatedly. Huge powerslam for two. Its time for toys. SLADE gets chairs. Alex tries a suicide dive but SLADE catches him and lawn darts into the post. SLADE with a suplex onto the chairs. SLADE tosses the chairs into the ring but Price takes out the knee with one. He homes in on SLADE’s leg with more chairs shots, dragon screws and forearms. SLADE back to his feet and decks Price. Price back up with a superkick to the knee and SLADE is hurting. Price tries to wrap the leg in a chair but gets kicked off. SLADE tries a powerslam but Price spins it into a face buster and spikes him into the mat. Price with running knees. Price off the top but SLADE catches with a series of back suplexes. Huge fallaway slam but Price keeps kicking out. SLADE with a running back elbow to the back of the head and Price going flying out of the ring. SLADE chases him down for a slam on the apron. It’s door o clock. SLADE sets it up in the corner but Price slips out, hits a low blow and rolls up SLADE. Price is all up in the ropes but the ref counts the three! Price tries to escape but Chris Dickinson and Willow Nightingale catch him and throw him back so SLADE can choke slam Price through the door…which he does. I love the energy a SLADE match brings. Price is a perfect dirtbag.

Rich Palladino announces that since next week is Veterans Day, Beyond is offering free tickets to all veterans. Classy move from Beyond.
Match 5: YoKai (Yoya & Janai Kai) vs “Dirty Daddy” Chris Dickinson & Willow Nightingale
Yoya squares off with Dickinson at the bell and they go straight to the graps. Yoya stays ahead and forces Chris to the ropes. Yoya ducks a clothesline and picks the leg out. Dickinson tries to reverse it, using his power and size advantage. Dickinson working the wrist but Yoya is squirmy and takes him down again. Dickinson with some ungodly slaps and they collide with dropkicks into a stalemate. Janai and Willow tag in, Kai gets the wrist and takes her down repeatedly. Willow uses her power for some suplexes, Kai almost traps a pin out of the third. Fisherman’s suplex with a bridge and Kai is out! Yoya tags in and Willow blasts with a big boot and senton for two. “Let’s rock and roll”. Dickinson hits a big body slam. Willow hits one too. They are competing for best body slam. Dickinson and Willow take another turn, but Yoya slips out, running Willow into Dickinson and a Kai forearm. Willow getting the tandem beatdown from YoKai. Kai landing kicks and palm strikes that cause Willow to grimace in pain. Kai taunts Dickinson while she drops axe kicks to Willows back. Willow getting mad but Kai keeps on her. YoKai with a double kick and Dickinson breaks up the pin. Kai with more strike flurries but she runs into a spine buster. They tag out, Dickinson catches a flying Yoya and hits a fallaway slam across the ring. Dickinson tries a powerbomb but Yoya with a rana! Dickinson spins him out with a lariat! Crowd is fired up for this sequence. Dickinson with a pair of Germans and Yoya keeps kicking out. Kai in to kick up the chest of the Filthy Father. Dickinson retaliates but eats a head kick. Willow back in with a pair of pounces for YoKai. Both go flyyyyyyyying. Kai cuts off Willow on the top, they hit Dickinson with a kick roll up combo! Yoya turns it into a rear naked choke but Dickinson muscles him off. Willow in and trading blows with Yoya back and forth. Willow with a DVD! Kick out! Willow locks in a STF! Dickinson wraps up Kai with one too! YoKai taps out! Dickinson and Willow are really clicking as a team. The crowd was super supportive of the underdogs though, who got yeeted everywhere. YoKai comes back in the ring for a handshake with the victors. Good stuff.
Match 6: “Weapon X” Matt Makowski vs “Hot Sauce” Tracy Williams
Huge “Welcome Home” chant for Hot Sauce. Brief feeling out before they scramble right into holds. Sauce tries to grapevine the legs but Makowski grabs a bully choke and pulls his opponent to the mat. Williams grabs the neck and wraps the legs with a body scissor. Makowski escapes and targets the shoulder. Williams hits a suplex for two and they have to circle a moment. Williams gets him in the corner and gives a clean break but Makowski chest chops. This awakens the devil in hot sauce, who fires back with chops and a butterfly suplex off the second. Williams laying in the strikes and crumbles Makowski with a running forearm. Makowski up and locked into an abdominal stretch…Williams transitions into a leg lock! Makowski reverses into a a rear choke, Sauce flips into a pinning predicament and drops a knee to the face. Williams twisting the neck and leg. Makowski whips Sauce off and hits a solid chest kick. Matt with a leg lock chicken wing and tries to break the limb off. Makowski in full control with a side headlock. Williams firing back with chops and dodging the heavy legs of Makowski. Trading forearms in the center! Williams with a discus clothesline for two! Sauce tries for a crossface but Makowski out and hits a high kick. Sauce rebounds with a knee to the gut and a DVD for two! Tracy trying a piledriver but Makowski spins him down into a cross armbreaker. Williams is fighting it and rolls him up for two. Makowski with a cloverleaf! Hot Sauce drags it to the ropes! Makowski with a series of knees but Williams fires up again. They battle to the top, Williams with a DDT to the top buckle! Brain buster! Makowski kicks out! Williams with a deep side choke but Matt’s at the rope. Hard slaps back and forth. Makowski rakes the eye, distracts the ref, punches Hot Sauce right in the crotch, hits a kick to the back of the head and makes him pass out to a rear naked choke. Boo Makowski Boo! This was a fantastic match. A hard hitting return for the former IWTV champ that delivered on all fronts.

Main Event: “Afropunk” Trish Adora(c) vs “The Submission Sniper” Jordan Blade (w/ Eel O’Neal) (for the Pan Afrikan World Diaspora Wrestling Championship)
Blade is ALL FIRE for this. Eel is an incredible hype man for his Kings of the District partner. He wants to know who Trish’s mystery partner is going to be in Somerville this Sunday…..it’s gonna be SUGE D! AHHHHHHHH! Popped for that. :D
Handshake of respect at the bell. Blade feels it out and takes the back quick. Trish takes the wrist but loses the ankle. They scramble to a stalemate. Trish with a headlock but Blade reverses to a full Nelson takeover for two. Trish gets the arm and wrenches it back, refusing to let go. Blade picks the ankle again but Trish is at the rope. Blade wants more. She pulls Trish in and locks up the arm. Trish fights it off and takes Blade down for a quick two. Trish wants more. Blade takes a rough landing on her arm and Trish targets the limb with kicks. Blade swipes up but Adora stomps her. Trish yanking at the arm in the rope. Kick to the back and Trish is working her opponent over methodically. Trish with some small digit manipulation causing Blade to yell in pain. Trish rolls her over for two. They trade double underhook reversals until Blade hits a butterfly suplex. Blade is alive! Big suplex and a Samoan drop to the champ! Kick out! Jordan with a running dropkick to the leg of Adora! Time to stretch that limb! Adora endures and hits a snap DDT! Blade kicks out! They trade hard chops in the center. Adora with a straight right and a back suplex! Kick out! Trish Adora locks in the cattle mutilation! Jordan gets a leg on the rope! Trish is furious! Blade tries a quick roll up. They trade quick pin attempts! Blade with a falcon arrow! Kick out! “It’s my time!” Screams Blade as she slaps Trish in the face. A running kick to the face! Blade stunned at the moment and it gives Trish enough time to kick out. Trish battles her way back up, hitting an enziguri! Blade sucks the Lariat Tubman! Blade with an Indian death lock! Trish gets her fingernail on the rope to break it up! Blade slams the champs down into an ankle lock! Crowd is fired up through all of this. Trish drags her way to freedom! Trish with a flying crossbody! Cravat takedown and a lariat to the back of the head! Jordan out at one and she’s mad! Trish clubbing blows down. Trish hits a DDT, pulls Blade back to her feet and pulls her in for the Lariat Tubman to get the three. This was freakin’ great. Had no idea where this was gonna land. Big fight from both competitors. They hug in the ring. This was awesome.

And that’s it for Episode 5! Holy hell, this was a lot of fun tonight. Everything clicked on this show and the crowd was fire all the way through. I’m stoked for Sunday and super glad I make this trek to Worcester every week for my Thursday fix. We’re in Somerville on Sunday for “Reverse the Curse”! Until then!
