COMPLETE AEW DYNAMITE BLOG

By Cory Strode on 2021-11-03 20:10:00

It's Wednesday, we're in Independence, MO at the Cable Dahmer Area. Your announcers are Jim Ross, Excalibur and Tony Schiavone.

Kenny Omega vs Alan Angela (5 of the Dark Order)

Angels starts with a drop kick into Omega and then a series of kicks in the corner. Omega recovers quickly and starts beating Angels down in the ropes. The crowd is chanting Kenny No Balls. Angels is able to reverse out of a Irish Whip and drop Omega in a smooth move and gets a two count. Omega gets out of it and hits a crusher and kicks before he gets a two count.

As Angels is struggling to get up, Omega gets cocky and goes for a V Trigger, but misses and Angel rolls him for a two count. They brawl on the outside and Angels gets a moonsault off the top to the floor. When they get back in the ring, Omega is able to take control back and the announcers talk about how Angels almost beat Omega in his first AEW match. Nice way to use the fact that their match 18 months ago being a 50-50 match.

Crowd is super loud as they throw hands in the middle of the ring. Omega is also leaning a bit while they do so to make them seem even. Angels escapes the one winged angel for a roll up, and Angels is able to get a shoulder up after a V Trigger. Omega follows up with a pair of V Triggers and grabs Angels for a three count.

Your winner: Kenny Omega.

Omega then grabs a mic and says he never had a chance to thank Angels. He embarrassed Omega, but now he got revenge. Omega says he has the power to giveth and to taketh away. Michael Nakazawa gives Omega a chair. Omega sets up for the One Winged Angel on the chair and Adam Page comes down the ramp to stop him, taking out Michael Nakazawa on his way down.

Omega has a chair, but Angels grabs the chair and Page hits Omega with a buckshot lariet. Omega rolls out of the ring leaving Page in the ring with the title. Page lays it down and says Omega better enoyu it while he has it because they face each other in ten days.

We then get a pretape with Malakai Black. Black says that his decision to bar him from ringside won't have an effect on the match. Black says when they assassinated Caesar, it wasn't just Marcus that betrayed him.

CM Punk is on his way to the ring.   JR says the rumor mill says he has a lot to say.

Punk sits down in the ring and says he's going to be serious tonight. He asks the crowd to chant for Jon Moxley because he has a legitimate reason for not being there tonight. The crowd obliges him. He talks about how he was told about the issue last night, and he knows what's it like to keep going when you have to take yourself off the hamster wheel and he's proud of Jon Moxley.

He then tells people if you need help, get it, and I could not agree more. My life improved by leaps and bounds when I finally gave up being a tough guy and get help for my generalize anxiety disorder. And don't be a tough guy, get help.

He then talks about Eddie Kingston not being there tonight and he had no beef with him in the past. A fan yells fight him, and Punk says he would but Eddie's not there. He says he will be in St Louis to accept Eddie's apology for interrupting him.

He then says that a spot has opened up in the title tournament, but he has to deal with Eddie on Friday.

Punk infuses his stuff with such reality that he feels a step above the normal promo. Hopoefully we get a reply from Eddie, who also trades in reality.

Miro then has a taped promo about how he is back in the title race, and his promo is about how God has forsaken him, he will be forgiven and he will be loved as he wins the AEW World Title.

Backstage we have the return of Alex Marvel with The Elite. Cole says their last was a fluke and they will remind everyone how dangerous they are. Christian Cage shows up and after Nick threatens him, Luchasaurus taps him on the shoulder. The Elite say they will just go to their office, and instead they throw hands. They battle from the back out into the arena. They low blow Luchasaurus and stay to celebrate and Jungle Boy leaps off the stage onto them.

Cage shows up and attacks Matt Jackson, but Nick hits a super kick. Ole crawls up the ramp and Luchasaurus grabs the Bucks by the throat. They brawl on the stage with Jungle Boy putting Cole in the snare trap. Cage brings out chairs and it looks like time for a conchairto on Cole.

We get a pretape of Ruby Soho and Kris Stratlander about how they are both exited about being in the TBS

FTR (AAA Tag Team Champions)/ Tully Blanchard vs Aero Star and Samurai Del Sol

Del Sol starts for his side and Cash for his, and the story fo the match will be high fliers vs ground based FTR. They are flipping about the ring and FTR is just trying to withstand the onslaught. As we head to the commercial FTR is able to isolate Star in the ring and work him over as they draw Del Sol in to be stopped by the ref on the small screen.

When we return to full screen, Star fights his way out of the corner and leaps off the top onto Dax on the floor. He then climbs up again and hits a diving reverse head butt onto Cash. He tags in Del Sol they start hitting double team high flying moves. As the pace speeds up, I am glad I am not doing play by play, and FTR is hanging with the speed of the two lucha guys. Cash rolls up Star, holds the ropes and gets the three count and the win.

Your winner and still AAA Champions FTR

We then get a tape from last week when Tony Schiavone gave Hikaru Shida her 50th win trophy. Nyla Rosa and Vickie Guerrero show and Nyla says that when she meets Shida in the tournament, it will be an easy night for them.

We come back from commercial for the Kansas City Chorus to sing Judas as Jericho and the rest of the Inner Circle comes to the ring.

Jericho explains that he is here to name who on America's Top Team will be in the five on five match thanks to Sammy Guevara. Dan Lambert comes out and heels the city. Jericho says they are an ugly collection of idiots lead by Dan Don't Call Me Dipshit Lambert, and the crowd decides not to give Dan what he wants.

The crowd implores Lambert to stop speaking in a way that should be rated TV MA. Lambert goes over the members of his team.

Jake Hager picks Junior Del Santos and reminds him he was beat in his last fight in 71 seconds and that he looks like Popeye.

Santana calls out Orlovski and mocks him for being called the pitbull, and now he will be in a fight with no rules to protect him.

Lambert complains about what Jericho said about Page Van Zant and she says she's ready to beat down Jericho. Jericho say “You want to take on all five of us by yourself? Maybe you could put it on his Only Fans page.”

Jericho says they get to choose one more, but he's gonna choose who said he's the number one member of America's Top Team, Dan Lambert, and Lambert loses his mind complaining and yelling.

Decent enough segment, with a nice payoff. Lambert losing his mind was funny.

In the back, Tony is with Matt Sydal, Dante Martin, Lio Rush, and Lee Moriarty. He congratulates Dante for winning, and he is now training Lee. He challenges the two of them, and Lio accepts the challenge.

Jaime Hayter w/Rebel and Britt Baker vs Anna Jay TBS Title Tournament

They tie up, go to the ropes and tie up again and trade headlocks in the middle fo the ring. Hayter takes the fight to the outside, but Jay is able to toss Hayter into the barricade. They go back ot th ering, and Hayter gets a kick to Jay as we go to the small screen for Jay to take a beatin'.

When we return to full screen, Hayter is kicks the stuffing out of Jay. Jay gets a takedown and then takes Hayter to the turnbuckles and then gets a DDT for a two count. Jay locks in the Queenslayer and Hayter is able to get out fo it. She locks it on again as Rebel distracts the ref. Baker grabs Jay's foot, and then Hayter hits the short arm clothesline and covers for a three count.

Your winner and advancing in the TBS Tournament: Jaime Hayter.

Baker and her crew start to beat down Jay and Tay Conti comes to the ring and cleans house until the numbers game catches up with her. They set up to do the curb stomp on the belt and Thunder Rosa rushes in for the save.

We get a promo in the back from Smart Mark and Jade Cargill. Thankfully, it was short and they say they are going to win the TBS title and rename it That Bitch Show, which makes no sense.

MJF come out and he talks about how he and Darby Allin are pillars and without them, the company doesn't work. MJF is wearing plaid shoes. I had no idea that such a thing existed. He talks about how they have It and that they will be legendary. He then says the crowd hates him because he is symbol of everything they want to be but can't be. He then runs down Darby, saying the fans love him because he's like them, he'll never fit in and and he'll never win.

He then says if he changes his ways, it won't matter because he's a better wrestler than him. He says most guys good on the mic aren't good as wrestlers but he's the best. He then says he can beat Darby with a headlock takeover.

Darby says he won't let his anger get the better of him at Full Gear because he'll get his anger out now. MJF tires to walk to the back. He is stopped by Sting and a bunch of people in black with MJF masks. Wardlow and Shawn Spears attack them, and Darby attacks MJF from behind. MJF is able to turn the tables and starts beating down Darby through the crowd. Darby recovers and they keep brawling.

Darby goes into the crowd and then charges MJF and clotheslines him over the barricade to ringside. MJF escapes through the crowd and Darby stands tall on the top turnbuckle.

Andrade El Idolo vs Cody Rhodes w/Arn Anderson

Crowd is mixed for Cody.

They start with slaps and Cody's drop down uppercut, and then pounding on Andrade in the corner. Cody is tossed to the corner and goes over the top, but Andrade does the same thing in the ropes. They fight on the top, and Cody drop kicks Andrade as he comes off the ropes. Cody is knocked to the outside as they go to the small screen.

When they return to full screen, Cody has taken the beating outside the ring and then was tossed back in to be worked over. Cody is able to recover and take down Andrade with clotheslines. Cody is still working with a bad knee. Andrade hits a back elbow and Cody drop to the mat and is covered for a two. Andrade works him over in the corner and then preens for the crowd. That gives Cody time to recover and hit a clothesline.

Cody sets for Crossroads, but Andrade hits the three amigos instead. Andrade hits double knees and gets a two count. He drags Cody to the corner and misses a moonsault. They then trade blows in the middle of the ring. Cody hits the flip, flop, and fly and then holds his knee. Andrade yells a Whoo and locks on the figure four. Cody is able to turn over and reverse the hold and Andrade makes it to th eropes for the break.

Andrade gets on the apron, and Arn pulls him down. As that is going on FTR comes out from under the ring and nail Cody with their AAA belts. Andrade rolls Cody into the ring and hits the DDT and covers Cody for the win.

Your winner: Andrade El Idolo

Tully comes to the ring and FTR hold Cody as Andrade hits a running kick to Cody and they start the beat down.

Arn and Tully goes face to face and as they square off, the Lucha Brothers run to the ring to attack FTR. FTR is able to escape and the Lucha Brothers are standing tall.

We come back from ads and Tony is in the ring with John Silver to talk about his match with Adam Cole Friday, and Silver says it will be John Silver vs Budge. He talks about the advice he's given Cole, such as changing his name to Budge, and this Friday, he's gonna kick some Budge ass.

I am guessing the Budge thing is a Being the Elite thing because I have no clue what he's talking about.

They run down the card for Friday and next Wednesday's Dynamite.

They have a package of Red Velvet and Bunny. I love this short videos to set the stage.

Bryan Danielson comes out to the commentary table since he is in the finals for the AEW World Title tournament. They recap his match with Eddie Kingston.

Orange Cassidy vs Miro

They pace around the ring before the ball, and Cassidy dodges and outruns all of Miro's charges. Cassidy goes to the outside and then goes for the pockets. Cassidy returns to the ring, goes for a tope and Miro grabs Cassidy and tosses him outside the ring as we go to small screen.

When we return to full screen, Miro has been tossing Cassidy around like a rag doll (thanks JR). Miro is just stomping the stuffing out of Cassidy on the mat. They say if the match cuts into hockey time, so be it, but Cassidy would be quite unhappy if he has to keep taking this beating past 9 pm Central. Cassidy gets a quick flurry of offense, gets a DDT and a two count. Cassidy goes for the Orange Punch and Miro leaves the ring. Cassidy goes to the top and leaps onto Miro going through a table.

Cassidy makes it to the ring and Miro is still down at 9, but rolls in at 10. Miro fights to his feet, and Cassidy leaps into Miro's arms. Cassidy gets the beach break and a two count. Cassidy goes for the Orange Punch, but Miro hits a body block, the big kick and then locks on Game Over. Cassidy taps out.

Your winner and advancing in the AEW Championship Tournament: Miro.

Bryan Danielson goes to the ring and offers a handshake, which Miro backs away from.
