MLW FUSION ALPHA REPORT: SHELLEY VERSUS TJP, OPERA CUP SET FOR SECOND ROUND, A CHANGE TO WAR CHAMBER, AND MORE

We start off with Cesar Duran massaging the National Openweight Championship belt. He says that men have searched for gold since they came down from the trees. They fought wars for gold. It tears cities to the ground. The quest for gold has turned civilizations to ash. On Thanksgiving the National Openweight Championship will have a new hope through the gift of violence.

Duran sees Mil Muertes enter and he says he is the champion again.

Muertes says that Duran must fulfill his end of the bargain.

Duran asks Muertes if he is certain of what he has decided. Duran says there must be a sacrifice.

Muertes says he understands.

Duran says very well and hands him a box.

Muertes opens it and he stares at what is inside.

We are in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and your announcers are Joe Dombrowski and Rich Bocchini.

Lee says the last time he was in an MLW ring I was a freelancer. A short time later, I am representing All Elite Wrestling. A lot has changed, but the one thing that hasn’t changed is the pressure. I represent AEW but I represent myself. I will walk away with the Opera Cup.

Match Number One: Bobby Fish versus Lee Moriarty in an Opera Cup First Round Match

They lock up and Fish with a kick to the leg. Lee misses a kick to the shoulder. Fish with a kick that misses. Fish misses a round kick. Lee with a waist lock but Fish with a wrist lock. Lee with a reversal into a wrist lock. Fish with a single leg take down into a side head lock. Lee with a waist lock and Fish with a hammer lock and snap mare. Lee with a hammer lock and Fish gets to the ropes to force a break.

Fish with a knee and forearm followed by another knee and kicks in the corner. Fish with an Irish whip and Lee floats over and gives Fish a few arm drags into an arm bar. Fish with an arm drag and lee with an arm drag and Fish goes to the apron. Fish with a back elbow and Lee with a forearm. They go back and forth and Fish brings Lee to the apron and tries for a Saito suplex on the apron but Lee blocks it. Fish kicks Lee in the leg and Lee with a forearm that knocks Fish to the mat. The referee stops Lee and Fish kicks Lee in the leg and Lee falls face first on the apron.

Fish goes back to the floor and kicks Lee in the back of the leg. Fish sends Lee into the guardrails.

We go to commercial.

We are back and Fish with kicks and he sends Lee back into the ring. Fish with a running back elbow and he gets a near fall. Lee with punches and Fish fires back with forearms. Fish with knees and a snap mare. Fish with a double jump slingshot senton. Fish with a forearm to the midsection. Fish kicks Lee into the corner and then kicks the leg. Lee with an enzuigiri and he floats over and kicks Fish. Lee with a snap mare and drop kick for a near fall. Lee with a hammer lock but Fish sends Lee into the corner. Fish with kicks to the leg. Fish with a dragon screw and a sliding clothesline for a near fall. Fish misses a round kick but hits a back heel kick. Lee with a short arm clothesline for a near fall. Lee

Lee goes for a suplex but Fish gets to his feet and he applies a sleeper. Lee sends Fish into the turnbuckles to escape. Fish with another sleeper. Lee escapes and hits a double stomp to the arm. Fish with an exploder into the ropes and both men are down. Lee with an uppercut and Fish with a forearm. Lee with a forearm and Fish with a kick to the leg. Lee with an uppercut to the arm. Fish with a forearm and kick followed by a round kick and Saito suplex for a near fall.

Fish kicks Lee in the head a few times. Lee with a rollup for a near fall. Lee with another rollup for a near fall. Lee with a waist locka nd Fish with a reversal into an O’Connor Roll. Fish with a heel hook and Lee taps out.

Winner: Bobby Fish (advances to face Davey Richards in semi finals)

We see what happened last week with Richard Holliday against King Muertes.

Emilio Sparks was with EJ Nduka and Sparks asks about him and the Dynasty. He says he is here to make things right. He respects Hammerstone. Maybe Hammerstone can pay him back for War Chamber with a title match.

We go to the back where Calvin Tankman says he has dominated in MLW. Does he need help? They should be jumping his bandwagon.

King Mo and Alex Kane show up and he punches Tankman. Kane joins in the attack and they stab him in the eye.

We go to Los Parks with Trick or Treating tips. They complain about the size of the candy and the taste. They attack a trick or treater and take his candy.

We go to Cesar Duran and he is on the phone.

Mads Krugger shows up and he says he does not answer to anyone. Duran says he wanted to meet with Krugger here and not in his office. Duran says Krugger has been trying to stop Hammerstone from Fatu but now things have changed. Krugger says he will continue to take care of Hammerstone. Duran says Krugger does not have to betray Contra. He says that Krugger is a mercenary and Krugger agrees that he is. Duran says he wants to talk to him, but first he has a match.

We are back and we are told that Warhorse is coming.

We see Holidead attacking Willow Nightingale last week.

We go to Willow at a signing. She is asked about Holidead. Willow says she is a bit traumatized. You don’t expect to get attacked while on commentary. She says she had her cornea scratched. Willow takes a call from Cesar. She says she wants a match against Holidead.

We see Calvin Tankman being taken away in an ambulance.

Match Number Two: Dr. Dax (with Holidead) versus Mads Krugger

Krugger with a boot to the shoulder followed by a clothesline. Krugger with a splash into the corner followed by a full nelson front slam for the three count.

Winner: Mads Krugger

After the match, Holidead attacks Dr. Dax before she takes him to the back.

Krugger takes the mic and he calls out Hammerstone. He says he hopes that you enjoy this display of violence. There is no challenger for the Black Hand of Contra.

Budd Heavy’s music plays and he makes his way to the stage. Budd goes to the back to get a chair.

Budd runs to the ring and he tries to hit Krugger with the chair.

Match Number Three: Mads Krugger versus Budd Heavy

Krugger with a boot to the head and the referee calls for the bell to start the match. Krugger with a full nelson front slam for the three count.

Winner: Mads Krugger

We take a look at 5150. Konnan says they want Los Parks. Slice Boogie says he will show LA Park how to use a chair. Rivera tells Duran to make the match or they will sacrifice him.

We go to commercial.

We are back with the War Chamber Control Center. We will have the War Chamber Match. There is now a fifth member of Contra’s team so it is now a five on five match.

Alexander Hammerstone is with Alicia Atout. Alex says he has been waiting a long time to be introduced as the World Champion. He is looking forward to putting the final nail in the coffin of Contra. He says he is happy to have EJ Nduka in his corner.

Richard Holliday shows up to talk about the tag team challenge they are making. Holliday has trouble speaking because his face is bandaged. Alicia slaps Holliday and leaves. Hammerstone tells Holliday to be careful what he is saying.

Alex Shelley is in the back and talks about how he is feeling going into this match. He says if you don’t know what you are doing in the ring, you don’t belong in this tournament.

Match Number Four: TJP versus Alex Shelley in an Opera Cup First Round Match

They lock up and go to a Greco Roman knuckle lock. TJP with a wrist lock and Shelley with an arm bar. Shelley with an arm drag and a snap mare into a rollup for a near fall. They lock up and Shelley with a wrist lock and an abdominal stretch. Shelley reapplies the abdominal stretch and Shelley with an arm drag and drop toe hold into a wrist lock.

TJP with a reversal and a side head lock take down. TJP with a hammer lock. Shelley with a head lock but TJP bridges to hold on to the hammer lock. Shelley with a flying mare and back elbow. Shelley misses an elbow and TJP with elbows. Shelley with elbows to the arm and a wrist lock and he kicks the shoulder. Shelley works on the shoulder and TJP hangs in the ropes. Shelley charges and TJP moves. TJP with a pescado.

We go to commercial.

We are back and TJP kicks Shelley from the apron. TJP sends Shelley back into the ring. TJP with a knee lift. TJP gets a near fall. TJP with a snap mare and he runs his boot across the nose. TJP with a knee to the back and then he traps the arm. Shelley with a kick. TJP with a head scissors take down. Shelley gets to his feet and TJP takes Shelley to the mat again with a head scissors.

Shelley escapes and he chops TJP. Shelley with forearms and punches followed by a European uppercut. TJP goes to the apron and he slides under Shelley and applies a Cloverleaf and Muta Lock. Shelley escapes and TJP hyper-extends the knee. TJP gets a near fall. TJP kicks Shelley and goes to the apron. TJP misses a slingshot senton. TJP tries for a tornado DDT but Shelley gets to his feet and Shelley sends TJP face first into the turnbuckles. Shelley with a running knee to the head and a tornado DDT. Shelley goes up top and hits a frog splash for a near fall. Shelley with a dragon sleeper but TJP escapes. Shelley with a forearm but TJP with a drop kick to the knee.

TJP with a forearm and Shelley with a forearm of his own. They go back and forth. TJP with a kick to the leg but Shelley with a forearm. Shelley with a super kick. TJP sends Shelley into the turnbuckles and follows with a round kick. TJP with a face wash and a running boot. TJP goes up top and missea frog splash. Shelley with a La Mistica and Shelley goes for a cross arm breaker and TJP counters into a Cloverleaf. TJP goes for an STF and Shelley with a rollup for a near fall. Shelley with a Regal stretch and TJP gets to the ropes and Shelley rolls back into the center of the ring but TJP counters with a rollup and his hand on the ropes for the three count.

Winner: TJP (advances to face Calvin Tankman in semi finals)
