Combat Zone Wrestling returned to action for the first time since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic on 10/24 in Blackwood, NJ for "Renaissance Of Tradition", drawing in the area of 150-175, which pretty much filled the venue.
The show opened with Nate Wallace, Dave McCall, and Kris Bishop, collectively the Rep, leading a ten-bell salute for DK Meadows, a CZW wrestler and student who sadly passed away during the pandemic.
*Jackson Drake defeated Duke O’Connor, “Miami” Mike Walker, and Rayo Match.
*Boom Harden defeated Lucky 13.
*Mother Endless cut a promo declaring that she is going to war with CZW.
*Tyler “Action” Andretti defeated Lucky Ali Match.
*Paul Jordane defeated Hayden. 6’ 7” Jordane hit a 450 to to pick up the victory. This was said to be a very impressive bout.
*Vinny Talotta defeated Diego Hill. Dante Caballero came out with two men in suits (The Familia) and cut a promo about being the most dominant wrestler on the planet. Eran Ashe interrupted him, which Caballero took offense to. The two men jumped Ashe, but Ashe beat down both of them. During that, Grim jumped Ashe from behind.
*Eran Ashe defeated Grim.
*Prolific (Tyree Taylor & Marcus Marquee & Isaiah Wolf) defeated the Rep (Nate Wallace & Dave McCall & Kris Bishop) when Prolific pinned Kris Bishop to win. Bishop stated after that he had let the Rep down but Wallace and McCall told Bishop to pick his head up.
*Fred Yehi defeated Griffin McCoy This was lauded as a must-see great match. There was a lot of raving internally of this match, especially McCoy’s performance as a main eventer.
At the end, CZW announced that they raised $1500 at the show, all of which will be donated to BreastCancer.org.
CZW will return on Sunday, November 21 at Studio Z, located at 110 Harmon Dr, Suite 207, Blackwood, NJ.
