We go to the back and Contra Unit is attacking Richard Holliday in the back. Alexander Hammerstone comes to check on Holliday and Kwon and Krugger leave the scene.
Rich wonders if the attack has anything to do with the Alicia Atout story about Cesar Duran.
Nicole Savoy says that Holidead is bigger, faster, and stronger than her. But the bigger they are, the harder they fal. She says that she hopes Holidead is ready for the ride.
Willow Nightingale joins commentary for the opening match.
Match Number One: Holidead (with Dr. Dax) versus Nicole Savoy
They lock up and Holidead backs Savoy into the corner and she pushes Savoy. Savoy with a waist lock and Holidead with elbows and she backs Savoy into the corner and Holidead with a break. Savoy with an arm drag into a double wrist lock and a bridge. Savoy returns to the arm bar and gets a near fall. Holidead with a wrist lock into a hammer lock. Savoy with an arm drag to escape.
Savoy into an arm bar but Holidead gets to the ropes. Savoy with a drop toe hold and a back heel kick. Savoy with a head scissors take down and a second one that drops Holidead on her head. Holidead goes to the floor and Savoy with a suicide dive.
We go to commercial.
We are back and Savoy with a Saito suplex for a near fall. Holidead with a boot to the hamstrings and a head butt to the midsection. Holidead with a rocking chair on Savoy and she kicks Savoy in the back many times. Savoy gets to the ropes to force a break. Holidead with knees to the midsection followed by an Irish whip but Savoy wit a back heel kick. Both women with head butts and they go to the mat.
They exchange chops and forearms. Savoy with knees and butterfly suplex and a German suplex.
Savoy with a forearm for a near fall. Holidead misses a bicycle kick but Savoy with a round kick. Holidead with a back breaker and a uranage into a side slam for a near fall. Holidead gets Savoy on her shoulders but Savoy escapes and hits a Dragon suplex for a near fall. Savoy with a Kimura but Holidead with a rollup for a near fall. Holidead with forearms and Savoy with a triangle. Holidead picks up Savoy and hits a power bomb but Savoy holds on to the triangle and turns into an Omoplata and Holidead gives up.
Winner: Nicole Savoy
After the match, Willow Nightingale leaves the commentary table and heads to the back but Holidead attacks Willow and hits a DDT on the ramp. Holidead with punches to Willow. She wraps a chain around her fist and Holidead continues to punch Willow.
Alicia Atout is in the back with Richard Holliday and she says he doesn’t look like he is cleared to fight but Holliday says he is cleared to fight. He mentions rarefied air and when you breathe rarefied air, you defend your championship.
King Mo has joined commentary for the next match.
Match Number Two: Calvin Tankman versus Matt Cross in a 2021 Opera Cup First Round Match
Cross with a bicycle kick and forearms followed by chops but Tankman does not move. Tankman with an Irish whip and Cross floats over and hits a head scissors. Cross with a victory roll and double stomp. Tankman goes to the floor and Cross with a drop kick through the ropes and a suicide dive. They return to the ring and Cross goes up top and does a cartwheel on the ropes to avoid Tankman. Tankman with a POUNCE that sends Cross to the floor.
We go to commercial.
We are back and Cross and Tankman exchange forearms. Tankman with a suplex for a near fall. Tankman with knees to the back and a rear chin lock. Tankman with a forearm to the chest and he returns to the rear chin lock. Cross with elbows. Cross and Tankman with forearms. Tankman with a clothesline into the corner followed bya slam and splash for a near fall.
Tankman runs into an elbow and boot. Cross booes to the turnbuckles and leaps over Tankman and hits a bicycle kick or two but Tankman stays on his feet. Cross with a springboard cross body for a near fall. Cross with a kick from the apron and he goes up top and hits a double stomp to the back and hits a bicycle kick that sends Tankman to the floor. Cross with a pescado and Tankman catches Cross and power bombs him on the apron. Tankman gets a near fall.
Tankman grabs Cross by the beard to get him off the mat. Tankman with a forearm and chop. They go back and forth with chops and Cross with a forearm. Tankman with a back elbow. Cross with a rebound cutter for a near fall. Cross walks over Tankman and goes up top for a shooting star press but Tankman moves and Tankman hits a pop up back fist and Cross tells the referee he was hit in the eye. Cross with a forearm and bicycle kick. Tankman with a clothesline and back fist to the back of the head for the three count.
Winner: Calvin Tankman (advances to face winner of Alex Shelley versus TJP)
We go to Alicia Atout with Matt Cross to ask what happened in the match.
Matt says everyone saw it. Calvin is too good to have to poke him in the eye to win the match. Matt says his vision is blurry but everyone saw that and it was BS.
We take a look at Tajiri’s return to Japan after winning the Middleweight Championship.
Alicia Atout is with Budd Heavy.
Budd says he is partying with the party people who dig the Heavy. Alicia says the fans were buzzing as he came to the ring. Budd says it was almost as good as drinking his first beer.
The masked assistant to Cesar Duran shows up and Alicia says she has to go.
We take a look back at the attack by LAX on Injustice and we are told that Jordan Oliver is still in the ICU.
We go to Emilio Sparks who was standing by Jacob Fatu yelling at Josef Samael. Samael says that it was a fluke. Samael says that Fatu is bigger, stronger, and more resilient. He has a plan . . . WAR CHAMBER. You are going back to the top. He tells Fatu to get his head back in the game.
Fatu sees Sparks and chases him out of the room.
We go to Cesar Duran on the phone as Alicia Atout enters the room.
Cesar says he is impressed with her work since his arrival in MLW.
Alicia says since there is a camera, she asks about the interview.
Cesar says she has made a number of requests, but he must have missed it.
He says he is impressed with her reporting. Her expose was vicious.
Alicia says it was true and accurate to the best of her abilities.
Cesar talks about the way that Alicia covers Richard Holliday and Alicia says that she covers the Dynasty the same way she covers everyone else. She will enjoy watching Richard Holliday’s match from the front row. Maybe he will give her an exclusive.
We go to commercial.
We are back and Cesar Duran has an invitation for Mads Krugger. He knows the relations between MLW and Contra Unit are strained, but it is a new day. He says that he knows that Krugger’s potential has not been realized so he wants to meet with him.
We are told that Willow Nightingale is still being checked out in the medical room after being attacked.
King Muertes says that Richard Holliday is the Caribbean Champion, but he will take that championship back home.
Match Number Three: Richard Holliday versus King Muertes for the IWA/MLW Caribbean Championship
They go face to face and Muertes pushes Holliday and Holliday pushes back. They lock up and go to a stalemate. Holliday with forearms but he shows the damage done to him earlier in the show. Muertes with chops and a forearm. Holliday wtih a side head lock and Muertes pulls the hair. Holliday floats over and he hits a clothesline in the corner. Muertes with a punch and spear followed by punches.
Muertes with a knee to the back and a slap. Muertes with another slap. Muertes wraps the arm in the ropes and follows with a DDT. Muertes with knees to the back and then he catapults Holliday’s throat into the bottom rope. Muertes chokes Holliday in the ropes.
We see footage of EJ Nduka and Mads Krugger fighting in the back.
Holliday with a kick and forearms but Muertes with a clothesline.
We go to commercial.
We are back and he works on the arm and ribs. Muertes with a chop but Holliday with an elbow and chops. Muertes blocks a suplex attempt and Muertes with a head butt and he clotheslines Holliday over the top rope in front of Duran and Duran pours champagne over Holliday’s head.
We see more members of Contra attacking Nduka in the back.
Holliday returns to the ring and Muertes picks Holliday up and Muertes with Neverending Story. Muertes puts Holliday on the turnbuckles and sets for a superplex and Holliday blocks it. Holliday with head butts and he pushes Muertes off the turnbuckles. Holliday with a clothesline off the turnbuckles and both men are down. Holliday with a clothesline but Muertes does not go down. Holliday with a spinebuster for a near fall. Holliday tries for a Boston Crab but Muertes does not go over and Holliday with near falls. Muertes with a power slam for a near fall. Muertes with punches. Holliday with punches and chops. Holliday with forearms to the back when Muertes goes to the turnbuckles. Holliday gets Muertes on his back and hits a torture rack into a TKO for a near fall.
The Sendai Death Squad goes to ringside and Ikuro Kwon kicks Holliday in the shoulder and then Muertes with a flatliner on the floor for the three count.
Winner: King Muertes (new champion)
After the match, Duran offers Alicia a glass of champagne and she slaps it away. Alicia walks away.
We see Contra Unit on the stage.
