THE BUY IN
The announce team, Ricky Starks, Taz, Excalibur ran down the lineup for tonight.
Tay Conti with Anna Jay vs. Santana Garrett.
They locked up, Garrett missed a kick. Conti used several takedowns but was nailed with a deep armdrag. They each went for an armdrag at the same time but neither flinched. They faced off. Conti used a kneebar to take down Garrett and tried to force a submission but Garrett made it to the ropes. Conti was sent into the corner but kicked off Garrett. She took down Garrett again and kicked her in the face for a two count.
Garrett was shoved off when the two ran into the ropes but bounced back and smashed her with a forearm smash. Garrett used a Muta Lock to try and force a submission. They batttled to their feet and went for a hair mare at the same time, crashing to the mat. Conti missed a pump kick in the corner and was rolled up for a two count. Conti rebounded and drilled her with the pump kick, then two more. She made it a quadruple. Conti nailed a DDT and scored the pin.

OK match. There's something really likeable about Conti. Garrett was fine here. They had an OK back and forth bout.
They aired a video package on the Inner Circle vs. Men of the Year feud.
Bobby Fish vs. Lee Moriarty.
They went after each other with kicks. Moriarty took down Fish but was caught with a series of rights. Some nice back and forth grappling here so far. Moriarty began focusing on Fish's left arm, kicking the elbow. He nailed a high cross bodyblock for a two count. Fish made a comeback, nailing a slingshot senton into the ring for a two count.
Fish nailed a snap suplex. Moriarty took control and nailed some nice offense, including a leaping double stomp to the chest for a two count. They battled back and forth. Moriarty went back to the arm, kicking Fish's elbow again and nailed a suplex throw for another two count. Fish escaped another suplex and cinched in a rear naked choke. Moriarty backed him into the corner to break it but was nailed with a leaping knee strike for a two count. Fish nailed an exploder into the ropes and KO'd him with a kick to the head for the pin.
Your winner, Bobby Fish!
Good bout that allowed Moriarty to shine and look competitive before falling to Fish.
They aired a video package on Bryan Danielson.
Bryan Danielson vs. Minoru Suzuki.
The crowd was chanted "Holy sh**" just for the entrances. There was a big "AEW" chant at the bell.
They began grappling and feeling the other out. The crowd chanted, "This is wrestling." Bryan was locked in an abdominal stretch and took Bryan down to the mat. Bryan regained control and went for a kneebar but Suzuki went to the ropes immediately for a break. They faced off. Bryan went for a Dragon Screw legwwhip but Suzuki blocked it. Bryan kicked him but Suzuki just smiled. They faced off and began striking each other with forearms and hard chops.
Bryan nailed a kick to the chest. Suzuki responded with another chop. They fired back and forth until Suzuki measured and drilled Bryan with a hard forearm to the cheek, driving him down to the mat. The crowd chanted, "Holy sh**." The shot cut Bryan's cheekbone open. Bryan regained his composure and drilled his neck with a series of elbows, then went for Cattle Mutiliation.
They battle to the floor, where Suzuki got the better of their exchange. Suzuki worked him over. Bryan made a comeback and sent Bryan to the floor. Danielson nailed a flying knee off the apron to the floor. Bryan nailed a series of kicks to the chest. Suzuki tried to roll away but Bryan stomped away on his chest. Bryan again went for Cattle Mutilition but couldn't get it and forced Suzuki into a pinfall situation for a two count. Bryan worked him over with chops in the corner and nailed a running dropkick in the corner.
Suzuki regained control and went for a Fujiwara Armbar. Bryan made it to the ropes but Suzuki stomped away at him. The referee tried to intercede but he marched Bryce Remsberg away. Distracted, Suzuki was taken down and locked into a pinning combination, but he landed with his feet in the ropes so the referee broke it. The crowd chanted, "Fight forever."
They battered the hell out of each other with strikes and chops. They struck each other at the same time and crashed to the mat. The crowd chanted "AEW." They fought to their feet and continued the beatings. Bryan nailed a kick and charged across the ring but was caught in a sleeper. He went for the Gotch piledriver but Danielson escaped. He nailed the flying knee and scored the pin.
Your winner, Bryan Danielson!
A good match that was made very good by the crowd atmosphere. If you were looking for an all-time classic, this wasn't it, but this had all the signature stufff the live crowd wanted from each man meshed with some hard-hitting strikes and good grappling.
