Raise the Bar Wrestling held its debut event tonight in Pomona, CA at The Glasshouse, a well known concert hall in the Los Angeles area.
Results of the event:
*Adrian Quest defeated Lee Moriarty. This was a fun opener that kicked the show off with a bang. They went back and forth for most of the match. The finish saw Quest hit a corkscrew 450 for the win.
*Fidel Bravo defeated Jordan Clearwater, Danny Devine and Uptown Andy Brown when Bravo pinned Brown with a Michinoku Driver. The crowd loves Brown.
*Delilah Doom defeated Ruby Raze. These two always put on a great hard hitting match. Another banger in the canon. They shake on having a rematch.
Intermission.
They announced Raise the Bar will return Nov 18th here with Starboy Charlie, Delilah Doom, Adrian Quest and making his first California appearance in 10 years, Jigsaw.
*Keita Murray defeated Gentleman Jervis Cottonbelly. The Crowd was very behind Jervis but he loset after a nut shot and cutter.
*PPRAY defeated The Wolf Zaddies and The RockNES Monsters. This was a hard hitting match with a lot of dives to the outside. Crowd loves seeing PPRAY together. Avalon calls Rosas his OG Wingman.
*Main Event: AJ Gray pinned WATTS. The match ended abruptly. as Gray pinned WATTS after an injury. It appeared WATTS was knocked out, which put a damper on what had been a fun show. The crowd loves WATTS, so his being able to leave the ring under his own power sent everyone home relieved.
Everyone delivered and worked their asses off. The highlights for me were Doom vs Ruby and Monsters vs. Daddies vs. PPRAY but there were no duds on this show.
ADDITIONAL NOTES from Mike Johnson:
As Eric wrote, WATTS was knocked out legitimately during the main event. We are told he caught a spinkick that KO'd him. He woke up in the ring and went to the back, where paramedics checked on him. Out of an abundance of caution, an ambulance was called but we are told Watts declined going to the hospital and was cleared to leave once he was checked out by EMTs.
We are told the show drew in the 250 or so range, which the promotion was happy with for their first outing.
