MLW FUSION ALPHA REPORT: TANKMAN VERSUS MORIARTY, OPERA CUP STARTS, WAR CHAMBER IS ANNOUNCED, AND MORE

We start off with a look back at Fight Land and the crowning of a new MLW Middleweight Champion and a new MLW World Champion.

We are in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and your announcers are Rich Bocchini and Joe Dombrowski.

Joe and Rich mention that there are rumors that NZO might be coming to MLW.

Match Number One: Lee Moriarty versus Calvin Tankman

Lee goes for the leg but Tangkman stays on his feet. Lee with a wrist lock into a top wrist lock. Lee goes for a drop toe hold and that does not work either. Tankman blocks a punch and he misses punches of his own. Lee goes for a shoulder tackle and he bounces off Tankman. Lee tries a few more times and he does nothing different. Lee with a kick to the knee to get Tankman down but when Tankman gets up he punches Lee.

Tankman gets Lee up but lee goes for a sunset flip but Tankman does not go over. Lee with a springboard arm drag that sends Tankman to the mat. Lee avoids Tankman and Tankman flips in the corner and then Tankman with a POUNCE.

We go to commercial.

We are back and Tankman with a chop. Lee with kicks to the leg and Tankman kicks Lee in the back. Lee with a back elbow and he connects with another two when Tankman tells him. Tankman slams Lee. Lee with a forearm and Tankman fires back but Lee gets up and connects with more forarms. Tankman with a forearm and Lee pops up again and Lee with forearms but Tankman with a head butt to stop a rolling elbow. Lee kicks Tankman and floats over and hits an enzuigiri that staggers Tankman. Tankman blocks a kick and Lee with a knee and a running kick for a near fall. Lee with boots to Tankman and he goes for a cross arm breaker.

Tankman with a forearm and Lee with an octopus but Tankman backs Lee into the turnbuckles but Lee holds on. Tankman sends Lee to the apron and Tankman misses a shoulder and Lee with akick and a guillotine from the apron. Lee misses a boot off the turnbuckles and Tankman with a power slam on the apron while in the ropes. Tankman gets a near fall. Lee with a kick to the arm and slaps. Tankman with a pop up power bomb for a near fall. Tankman misses a back fist. Lee with a scissors kick and a European uppercut for a near fall.

Lee with a running drop kick for a near fall. Lee goes up top and he is met with a spinning back elbow from Tankman. Tankman goes for the Tankman Driver but Lee gets to this feet and his drop kicks Tankman. Tankman catches Lee off the ropes and hits the Tankman Driver for the three count.

Winner: Calvin Tankman

After the match, Alicia Atout comes out with Alex Kane and King Mo. Mo says he was impressed with Tankman’s victory. His speed and size is impressive and he needs some help. He offers Tankman a spot in American Top Team.

Alicia asks Tankman if he will join American Top Team.

Tankman says he will think about it.

We go to footage from Contra Unit.

Josef Samael asks Alex how does it feel to have two belts and only one leg. Contra took its trophy at Fightland. While the ticker tape rained down, MLW’s greatest was crying. An ankle mangled, a foot shattered. Fight Land was not the end. You cut off one head, two more grow back. The final battle is in sight. Contra will take you to our war zone for the almighty reckoning. It will be in the War Chamber.

We go to commercial.
We are back and Cesar Duran is on the phone and he tells someone that he is out of excuses and time. There will be consequences. He sees Alexander Hammerstone enter and he says he will continue this later.

Cesar congratulates Alex on his title. He says that Hammerstone is someone he can build around.

Alex says he is here to drop off the National Openweight Championship.

Alex says it is the right thing to do. Winning that championship was the biggest moment of his career until he won that one. He says he is sick of the assholes who pulled up the ladder when they got to the top. This is an opportunity for someone else.

Cesar says that Alex is a great man and he was a great National Champion. He asks Alex to sit down to discuss his future as his champion.

Alex says this is a busy night for him but Cesar asks him to sit down. He asks Alex if he is ready to face Contra.

Alex says he is ready to face Contra in any match at any time.

Cesar says the match is his. He will help Alex choose his team for War Chamber.

Alex says he will find a team on his own.

We go to Alicia Atout and she is going to talk about Cesar Duran. She says that there are rumors of the reasons for the failure of his Boyle Heights venture. She has exclusive footage from his last night in Boyle Heights.

We see Cesar packing up his office and trying to make a quick getaway.

Alicia mentions that Cesar was on the run from someone or something.

She mentions where Cesar was prior to being a part of Promociones Dorado. She mentions that Duran’s power has grown and he has taken over all aspects of the league.

We have undercover footage of Duran on the phone but he realizes he is being video taped.

We go to footage from Duran’s office on the last night of the Temple in Boyle Heights. We see a woman going through his office looking for something but she cannot find it.

Tom Lawlor says he is going to take on Davey Richards tonight, back on the hunt. Davey, now that you are back, it is going to sound different at the end of the night when I get my hands on you. You have been gone for years. You have been reading books and taping people up. I have been sending people to the trainer to get taped up. You are looking at the pre-eminent wrestler in MLW. When the Wolf has been hunted, the Opera Cup is coming back home with me where it is going to be covered in filth.

We go to commercial.

We are back and we are told that War Chamber is official. Alexander Hammerstone will be joined by Richard Holliday on his team.

Next week, we will see Calvin Tankman versus Matt Cross in the Opera Cup.

Match Number Two: Delmi Exo (with Ashley Vox) versus Brittany Blake

They lock up and Blake with a slap on the break. Exo with a waist lock and Blake stomps on the foot and Exo with a shoulder tackle. Exo blocks a hip toss and Exo with a take down into a crucifix for a near fall. Exo with an irsih whip and an elbow into the corner. Blake with elbows to blocks a suplex attempt. Exo with a Northern Lights suplex for a near fall. Exo with an elbow in the corner but she misses a knee. Blake puts Exo in the ropes and hits a back breaker for a near fall.

Blake chokes Exo and the referee warns her. Blake with a Lotus Lock and Exo lanes back to get a near fall. Blake chokes Exo in the ropes. Blake chokes Exo in the corner. Exo with a forearm and Blake with a snap mare and kick to the back for a near fall. Blake with a head scissors take down. Blake with a Tiger Feint Kick to Exo. Blake with a cutter in the ropes for a near fall.

Blake with a cross body into the corner and a knee in the corner. Exo avoids a bulldog but Blake with a slap to the face. Exo blocks a clap and Exo with short arm clotheslines. Exo goes for a t-bone suplex but Blake blocks it. Exo with a cutter for a near fall. Exo gets Blake on her shoulders but Blake escapes and hits an enzuigiri followed by a DDT for a near fall. Blake goes up top and misses with a double stomp and Blake rolls through. Exo with Exocution for the three count.

Winner: Delmi Exo

We go to Alicia Atout with Willow Nightingale.

Willow says she is excited for the women’s division in MLW. She says she would wrestle Ashley Vox any time and any place. It means a lot to get a win over someone she respects. She will power this division.

We are reminded that Will Ospreay will debut with MLW in December.

Alexander Hammerstone is walking in the back and he is asked to answer a few questions. We get a brief hack into the feed by Contra Unit and Ikuro Kwon tries to attack Hammerstone, but EJ Nduka catches Kwon and throws him into the wall.

Hammerstone says that was impressive.

Nduka says he is sick of this Contra nonsense.

Alexander says he can use someone like him on his team at War Chamber. He says he will talk to Cesar about it.

We take a look back at footage from last week’s tag match between LAX and Injustice.

Davey Richards says that there isn’t much to say that Tom hasn’t proven in the ring. They are cut from the same cloth. It isn’t about money, titles, or popularity. It is about fighting something. You need to look in the mirror and says that you can beat whatever you are scared of. The keys to success with Tom is things you can’t see. I know counters to his holds and he knows counters to mine. It is about heart and who can take the pain longer. Who can hold on for a few more seconds. It is a game of inches and I will beat him.

We are back and Cesar Duran says he has seen the hit job by the media. He can neither confirm nor deny any of those allegations. What does it matter. I am the innovator of lucha. I am the greatest promoter who has existed and I will prove it.

We take a look at the Injury Report.

Richard Holliday suffered some lacerations and is day to day while undergoing testing. Alexander Hammerstone has a hairline fracture of the ankle and he should be back in eight weeks.

Match Number Three: Davey Richards versus Tom Lawlor (with Kevin Ku) in a First Round Opera Cup Match

Lawlor relaxes on the turnbuckles to get into Richards’ head. Richards poses on the turnbuckles to get into Lawlor’s head. Lawlor goes for the leg but Richards blocks it. Richards with a waist lock and Lawlor with a wrist lock take down. Lawlor with an arm bar and Richards goes for a knee bar and lawlor gets to the ropes. They go ot a Greco Roman Knuckle Lock and Richards with a wrist lock and Lawlor with a drop toe hold into an arm bar. Lawlor goes for a cross arm breaker but Richards counters into a rocking chair. Lawlor gets to the ropes to force a break.

They lock up and Lawlor with a wrist lock and Richards goes to the apron to tie up the arm in the ropes and Richards kicks the ropes to add more damage to the arm. They go to the floor and Lawlor Irish whips Richards into the guardrails.
We go to commercial.

We are back and Lawlor punches Richards but Richards kicks Lawlor. Richards pulls Lawlor back to the floor and he kicks Lawlor in the chest. Lawlor avoids being sent into the ring post and Lawlor sends the arm into the ring post and ring steps. Lawlor wraps the arm in the guardrails and he kicks the guardrails.

They return to the ring and Richards with a knee but Lawlor with punches and kicks. Lawlor chokes Richards in the corner. Lawlor with a running divorce court for a near fall. Lawlor with an arm bar. Richards powers out of the hold but Lawlor with a forearm. Richards with kicks but Lawlor blocks a kick and he Irish whips Richards but Richards goes to the apron and hits a dragon screw in the ropes. Richards goes up top and misses the double stomp but he rolls through.

Richards with an Indian Death Lock but Lawlor gets to the ropes. Richards sets for a suplex and Lawlor blocks it and applies a guillotine. Richards with an ankle lock to force Lawlor to release the hold. Richards with an ankle lock and Lawlor rolls through to send Richards to the floor. Lawlor goes for the rear naked choke but Richards escapes. Richards with a Saito suplex and then he hits a running forearm into the corner. Richards goes up top and hits the double stomp for a near fall. Richards returns to the ankle lock. Lawlor counters with a triangle and then he goes for an Omoplata. Richards with an ankle lock and then he works on the other leg and he grapevines the leg and Lawlor tries to get to the ropes but he passes out and the referee calls for the bell.

Winner: Davey Richards (advances to face winner of Bobby Fish versus Lee Moriarty)

After the match, Lawlor is helped to the back by Kevin Ku and Ku has to keep Lawlor from grabbing at the Opera Cup.

Richard Holliday is in Cesar Duran’s office.

Holliday says it is nice to meet Duran. Holliday says that Duran is the opposite of Court Bauer. Holliday says he might not be a luchadore, but he is the most marketable star. He is the IWA/MLW Caribbean Champion.

Duran says it is bad that Holliday’s girlfriend has decided to play this tabloid game.

Holliday says he does not have a girlfriend.

Duran mentions Alicia Atout and Holliday denies that she is his girlfriend.

Duran says that Azteca Underground has acquired IWA and Duran tells Holliday that he will defend the IWA Caribbean Championship.

Holliday says Duran cannot do that. Duran says he can and Holliday’s opponent will be a surprise. Duran tells Holliday to show himself out.

Holliday tells Duran to prep himself to hear from his lawyer/his father.

We are told that next week King Muertes will face Richard Holliday.

We go to footage from Emilio Sparks from earlier.

Jordan Oliver tells Danny and Slice that they are sick of the attacks. You are a bunch of cowards. Myron tells them to put some respect on their names.

LAX attack Injustice and then they drive away.

We go to credits.
