After his victory against EVIL, Jeff Cobb became the first person ever to win eight consecutive matches in the G1 Climax. Kazuchika Okada was unable to follow unit, losing to Tama Tonga in the main event.
The winner of Cobb versus Okada on the final B block show on October 20 in the Nippon Budokan will win the block. There are no other tiebreakers to consider.
Major League Wrestling announced during its Fusion: ALPHA show last night that Will Ospreay will debut in the company at a television taping in December in the Melrose Ballroom. Details of the taping have not been announced yet.
Big Japan Pro Wrestling
Big Japan Pro Wrestling and Pro Wrestling ZERO1 held a co-promoted show today in Shin-Kiba 1st Ring.
Before the show, however, the companies held a press conference to announced they will hold a co-promoted show on April 10, 2022, in Ry?goku Kokugikan.
ZERO1 was originally scheduled to hold its twentieth anniversary show in March in Ry?goku Kokugikan until the Japan Sumo Association moved its annual March tournament from Osaka to Tokyo, leaving ZERO1 without a venue. The show was postponed until 2022 without a specific date, until now.
Big Japan last held a show in Ry?goku Kokugikan in 2019. The show featured WWE superstar WALTER teaming with Daisuke Sekimoto against Yuji Hino and Yuji Okabayashi.
