New Japan Pro Wrestling's El Phantasmo advanced to the X-Division Championship match at the 10/23 Bound for Glory PPV in Las Vegas on tonight's edition of Impact Wrestling on AXS TV, defeating Willie Mack and Rohit Raju.
Phantasmo vs. Steve Maclin vs. Trey Miguel to determine the new champion will take place at the PPV. The belt is currently vacant as the storyline is Josh Alexander surrendered the championship in order to challenge Christian Cage for the Impact Championship at Bound for Glory.
There have been 47 titleholders in the history of the championship dating back to June 2002. The winner will become the 48th X-Division Champion.
