Carmelo Hayes defeated Isaiah "Swerve" Scott to win the WWE NXT North American Championship.
Hayes cashed in his guaranteed title shot that he earned by virtue of winning the 2020 NXT Breakout Tournament after Scott defeated Santos Escobar on NXT TV.
With the rest of Hit Row having been taken out of the equation by Legado del Fantamsa before the bout, Hayes and Trick Williams hit ringside to assist Scott, only for Hayes to attack Scott after he defeated Escobar.
Scott is slated to start full-time with Smackdown shortly.
