During their Fight Club event in Atlantic City, NJ tonight, Game Changer Wrestling officially announced that they will be debuting in the historic Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City on Sunday 1/23/22.
GCW owner Brett Lauderdale teased the debut several weeks back with a tweet featuring a scene of the original ECW at the Hammerstein back in 2000. At that point, PWInsider.com was told by sources at the venue a wrestling company had recently done a site survey at the facility.
Since first holding ECW PPV events and TV tapings in 2000, the Hammerstein Ballroom has hosted WWE's ECW One Night Stand PPVs, an episode of ECW on Syfy, Impact Wrestling, New Japan, Ring of Honor and even the Urban Wrestling Federation.
The GCW Hammerstein debut will stream live on FITE.TV.
