YOSHI-HASHI vs. Tama Tonga, with Jado

Both men were careful in opening moments.   YOSHI-HASHI hit the first big attack with a Headhunter.  Tama was already clutching his neck.  YOSHI-HASHI hammered Tama with chops.  Tama came back with a flying chop of his own.  Tama hit multiple elbow drops on YOSHI-HASHI's chest and slowed it down with a reverse chin lock.  YOSHI-HASHI flipped Tama over with a judo throw, and hit a dropkick to Tama's leg.  YOSHI-HASHI with a neckbreaker.  Tama kicks out at two.  Tama counters with a Flatliner.   Tama with a Stinger Splash.  They do a bunch of reversals.  Tama hits a Tonga Twist, follows with a Death Valley Driver, then hits a Splash from the top rope.  YOSHI-HASHI kicks out at two.  Tama goes for the Gun Stun, but YOSHI-HASHI turns it into a Back Cracker.  They reverse out of each other's moves.   YOSHI-HASHI connects with a lariat then a Kumagaroshi.  Two count.  YOSHI-HASHI locks in a Sleeper.  He gets Tama to his feet.  He attempts Kharma.   Tama rolls out and tries a Gun Stun, but YOSHI-HASHI blocks it.  YOSHI-HASHI plants Tama on his neck with a release Dragon suplex.   Tama with a enzuigiri.  Tama goes for another Gun Stun but eats a superkick.   YOSHI-HASHI hits a lariat and is able to hit Kharma.

Great fun match.  Both men demonstrated great athleticism.  They were both so evenly matched.   YOSHI-HASHI just was able to hit Kharma first before Tama could hit the Gun Stun.   With World Tag League 2021 on the horizon, we could see Guerillas of Destiny vs. YOSHI-HASHI and Goto, which should be good.

Hirooki Goto earns 2 points, bringing his total score to 4 points.

Another good match.  Chase Owen has looked solid in the tournament.  None of his losses were easy wins for his opponents.   They had to work hard to avoid his finisher and outwrestle Owens.  The same could be said for Tama Tonga and Tanga Loa.

SANADA vs. Jeff Cobb

SANADA uses his speed to counter the power of Cobb in the early moments.   Cobb goes to the floor and SANADA hits a flipping senton on Cobb.  Back in the ring, SANADA tries to slam Cobb which was a mistake.  Cobb attacked SANADA's back by throwing him into the turnbuckles and stomping on his lower back.  Cobb with a backbreaker.  Two count.  SANADA dropkicked the left knee of Cobb.  Cobb was favoring the knee and tried for a suplex, but SANADA reverses and hits a suplex of his own.   SANADA attempted the Paradise Lock, but Cobb kicked him off.  They went to the floor and SANADA got thrown back first into the ring post.  Back in the ring, Cobb hit a standing moonsault.   Two count.  SANADA counters an irish whip, but jumping to the top rope and hitting a missle dropkick.  SANADA hits his own standing moonsault.   Two count.  SANADA was still clutching his back.  SANADA hits dropkick and a TKO.   Two count.  They reverse out of each other's moves.  SANADA hits a solo Magic Killer with Cobb's feet on the top ropes.   Two count.  SANADA positions Cobb for a moonsault.   Cobb grabs his leg to keep him from going to the top rope.  SANADA stomps on Cobb.  Both get to their feet.  SANADA bounces off the ropes.   Cobb catches SANADA in a fireman's carry.  Cobb lifts SANADA into a sitting position on his shoulders.  SANADA punches Cobb in the head.   Cobb drops SANADA forward, then throws him over his head with a release German suplex.  Good God!!  Cobb goes for a Tour of the Islands but SANADA reverses into a Dragon Sleeper and tries for Skull End.  Cobb rolls through and picks up SANADA.   He runs SANADA into the corner.  SANADA drops down and tries for Skull End.  SANADA tries for a roll up with a bridge pin but Cobb powers out.   SANADA goes for a moonsault but Cobb moves out of the way.  They trade strikes.  SANADA comes off the second rope with a moonsault.  Cobb catches him.  Cobb pops SANADA up into the air and hits Tour of the Islands.

Cobb pins SANADA.

Cobb earns 2 points, remains undefeated and the first to 12 points in the B Block.

Good match.  Cobb continues to dominate the B Block.   SANADA paired well with Cobb because he is athletic enough to handle the power of Cobb.  Cobb will face a big test in the next B Block event when he faces Hiroshi Tanahashi.

EVIL gets 2 points and has 10 points total.

This match was ridiculous.   The ref bumps, the cheating, the disregard of rules, was just insane and stupid.  How is there not a disqualification?  This match should have opened the show.   Tama Tonga and YOSHI-HASHI was better than this.   I understand that there has to be one dastardly heel in the company.   Jay White was that heel, with Gedo.   But Jay White would always get back to wrestling.   He could legitimately beat Tanahashi with wrestling, without Gedo's help.  It is getting to the point I feel EVIL matches are not important because Togo will ALWAYS be involved.  This will spread to SHO and Yujiro Takahashi if they choose to act this way.  At least, Takahashi beat Ibushi cleanly in the A Block.  Togo assaulted Miho Abe so EVIL could beat Taichi.  I do not understand how this is acceptable.  The "House of Torture" just a joke at this point.  EVIL and Togo are are black mark on this G1 Tournament.

Kazuchika Okada vs. Taichi, with Miho Abe

Okada started the match like he has done all tournament, by starting with a headlock.  The match goes to the floor and Okada hits a DDT on Taichi.   Okada goes back in the ring while the referee counts.   Okada goes back outside to pick up Taichi.  Taichi throws Okada into the guardrail.   Taichi chokes out Okada with a cable wire.   Taichi clears the floor pad away exposing the concrete.  Taichi hits a DDT on Okada on the bare floor.  Taichi takes the match back in the ring and twists Okada's neck.  Okada fights back with elbows.  Taichi takes down Okada with a choke throw.  Taichi with an Ax Bomber in the corner.  He hammered Okada with stiff kicks to the back and chest.  Taichi goes for a superkick. Okada attempts a Rainmaker. Taichi hits a chokeslams.   Two count.  Taichi goes for Black Mephisto but Okada rolls out and applies the Money Clip.  Taichi reverses out.   Okada hits a dropkick and locks in the Money Clip again.  Taichi fights for the ropes.  Okada hits a backbreaker, keeping Taichi away from the ropes, and back into the Money Clip.  Taichi's eyes look like they are fading.   Taichi gets a burst of energy and fights to the ropes.  Okada with a body slam, top rope elbow smash, then a Rainmaker pose.  Okada attempts a Rainmaker, but Taichi reverses out.  Okada tries for a tombstone but Taichi slips out and hits Tensho Jujihou (superkick).  Okada gets a shoulder up at two.  Taichi tries for Black Mephisto but Okada punches out.  Okada tries for a tombstone, but Taichi also punches out.  Both men trade kicks to the face.  They trade a series of reversals.   Taichi nails a dropkick.  Taichi goes for a Dangerous Backdrop but Okada fights out.  Taichi with a Kamagiri, then drops Okada with a Dangerous Backdrop.   Okada barely kicks out.   Taichi hits an Ax Bomber.  Okada with a tombstone.  Taichi reverses a Rainmaker attempt into the Gedo Clutch.  Two count.  Taichi stuns Okada with a spin kick.  Taichi charges Okada out of the corner.  Okada spins Taichi into a sit down tombstone.  Okada connects with a Rainmaker.

Okada pins Taichi.

Kazuchika Okada also remains undefeated with 2 more points and shares the lead with Jeff Cobb at 12 points.

El Desperado, who was on Japanese commentary after his opening match, helped his Suzuki-Gun teammate back to the locker room.

Great match.  Okada and Taichi usually have good matches when facing each other.  Okada and Cobb are slowly building momentum with EVIL not far behind.
