WWE BROCK LESNAR RETURNS

On August 21, Brock Lesnar returned to World Wrestling Entertainment at SummerSlam to face Roman Reigns after retaining his Universal Championship title. Roman Reigns defeated the world's favorite wrestler John Cena in the SummerSlam. The delightful surprise was signing a deal with the WWE that closed the show with a big moment. 

The former WWE wrestler contract is valid for one and a half years. Lesnar aims to battle out in eight matches at Smackdown. However, the 44-year old wrestler's deal is open to talks to add more fights. Fans are now wilder than ever as they speculate that Brock Lesnar will face Roman Reigns during his first fight. Gamblers are even eager and always checking on the fights predictions on Betmgm review to see what the experts think of such a fight. 

WWE superstars have crossed paths in the past, and their eternal rivalry is traced to WrestleMania 31 and 34. WWE seems to have taken another turn as Roman Reigns is the Tribal Chief.  Lesnar has been off the ring for 16 months. His last appearance at the ring is tracked back in April 2020 where he faced Drew McIntyre at WrestleMania 36 and lost his coveted WWE Championship belt. Brock Lesnar's career kicked off on Friday night with a WWE SmackDown episode. Nevertheless, Lesnar is expected to cross paths with upcoming wrestlers to help them climb the ladder.

What does it mean for the future?

Brock Lesnar is labeled as the next big thing by WWE creative as his time in UFC made him a more famous star than the earlier days of Vince McMahon. When Lesnar's music played, the vast crowd went wild to welcome back the WWE superstar. The WWE superstar has achieved the same mainstream success in mixed martial arts; the Rock has achieved in movies earning a right to make spot appearances. The world is yet to see who  WWE will promote to face Lesnar in UFC professional wrestling. 

Commentators are expected to pay attention to Brock Lesnar's return. Lesnar is a viable character who could help WWE even with his brief appearances. The world would enjoy seeing Brock smash someone at the ring rather than seeing his 20-minute promo about a particular product. His ability to give real-life sports credibility has made young fans remember his first WWE to know him as a legit athlete.

Current UFC fans are tempted to turn on WWE screens to see their former champion rise to a new role. WWE has used various wrestlers as a catalyst for his return, with the big match on everyone's mind being Lesnar vs. Reigns.

Lesnar confronts Roman Reigns and Paul Heyman

Brock Lesnar appeared on Friday at Madison Square Garden in New York City during a WWE SmackDown episode. The WWE superstar confronted Roman Reigns and Paul Heyman in the ring. The episode ended with him clearing the two out of the ring. Jey and Jimmy Uso faced Lesnar’s wrath and followed the course. Before the chaos, Heyman had asked Lesnar why he desired to have a shot at Reigns' Universal title.

Roman Reigns defeated John Cena in the main event to retain the Universal Championship.  Lesnar and Reigns had a staredown at SummerSlam. Paul Heyman was shocked to see Lesnar as he worked as Lesnar's advocate before joining Reigns. However, the Tribal Chief left the ring without a show. Brock Lesnar destroyed John Cena, hitting him with suplexes and an F-5 after SummerSlam went off the air.

For the next couple of weeks, the Beast Incarnate was not on SmackDown, but he led the discussion related to Heyman. Usos were suspicious of Heyman, knowing that Lesnar would be at SummerSlam. Heyman had acted shady and insisted that he had no clue about Lesnar's moves. During SmackDown, Heyman received a call from Lesnar, and the ringtone appeared to be Lesnar's theme song. Brock spilled the beans and told Heyman that he would be at SmackDown at MSG. 

It was not an easy task for Heyman to share the good news with Reigns. Lesnar and Reigns have crossed paths in the past, but things were different on Friday as Heyman now works with Reigns. Heyman loyalty is up for the test, crafting a storyline and making Lesnar Vs. Reigns rivalry to evoke interest. Roman Reigns has dominated the WWE for one year as the Universal Champion, but Lesnar is the biggest force that might end his thread.

Lesnar return brought forward by CM Punk AEW debut

The decision to bring back Brock Lesnar was a last-minute thing. The WWE superstar was not to return soon, but factors such as John Cena leaving for Hollywood, CM Punk AEW debut fueled his return. According to Dave Meltzer, people at fox wanted WWE to bring CM Punk back before moving to AEW. Meltzer continues to report that frustrations experienced by Fox, WWE led to bringing Becky Lynch and Brock Lesnar to SmackDown.

Raw and SmackDown are unbalanced at the moment, and the USA Network will be hoping for a remedy set to take place in October by a draft. The Brock Lesnar vs. Roman Reigns match is not far away, but reports suggest that former rivals fight at Crown Jewel in Saudi Arabia on October 21.

Universal Champion Roman Reigns Vs. Brock Lesnar

The Universal Champion Roman Reigns faces The Beast at WWE Crown Jewel for the Universal Title. Roman Reigns overcame 16-time World Champion John Cena in a hard-fought matchup at SummerSlam. He is now surprised by the reemergence of The Beast, who seems determined to stop him. 

Lesnar returned to SmackDown and ordered his one-time advocate Paul Heyman to accept his challenge for a match against Reigns. Heyman currently is a Special Counsel to Roman. Following the chaotic episode with The Bloodline, The Head of the Table accepted the challenge. The epic showdown between Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar will be held on October 21 at noon ET/9 a.m PT on WWE Peacock in the United States and WWE Networks.
